These Advent Calendar lures worked!

Let’s catch big pike on the 2023 Westin lure fishing Advent calendar which cost €219! It features signature colours in the Westin Swim lure range! This review video shows us opening the lures and catching some big pike on them, aswel as various other handmade lures. These lures are once offs and won’t be available ever again in these exact colours.
At the end of the video I'll be answering the question
We fished for about 4-5 hours here and landed 2 meter pike along with a few other smaller fish, is the calendar worth the money? It’s up to you to decide that, I can only show people the lures catching pike, I’m a fisherman at the end of the day not a salesman, that’s the way this channel is, we are not sponsored by any particular fishing brands so we can show honest options on these lures.

Buster jerk seems to be one for me not had a lot of joy on the westin although don’t stop me buying them some nice fish and I’ve said it before your lucky to have access to some lovely water very jealous lol

Buster jerks are great for sure 😁 I hadn’t used the swims much before this video, they all do a similar job, they are loud with the rattles too 🧠🤝

I prefer to use them in spring 🤝 thank you! I use a few different pairs, as long as they wrap around and protect your whole eye line from the sun. I use brown or yellow lens for fly fishing, for the pike fishing the colour isn’t so important, it depends on the UV levels on the day, once I can see a foot or two down for “followers” I’m happy, they are more so to protect my eyes from the sun and from hooks.

well what’s the crack lad. i’m new to fishing, i gave it a go there last year but had no luck. im getting all my bits ready for river fishing for next year. after watching few of ur vids there. what rod would ya recommend for river fishing. for catching trout and salmon. fishing in offaly. trying to catch birrs croneen trout

Good stuff Gary. I use ultra light rods on the smaller rivers. My river spinning rod is 1-5grams - that’s probably far too light for salmon if that’s what you want to target. Keep it as light as possible and it’s more fun. 🤝
