  • The DEFINE phase starts off the DMAIC Improvement framework - it's critical to set the right expectations: you'll want to define
    🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ what the goals of the different stakeholders are;
    🎯📈 how that translates into your team's goal;
    💵⌚️ and what resources you'll need to achieve it.
    We'll talk about how to draw out the wishes and expectations of your own organisation, your customers (and yes, in that order 😉) and how your process currently caters to those. So you'll see a couple of tools that help you define the "Voice of the Customer" and the "Voice of the Process", like Critical to Quality (CTQ) analysis and Value Stream Mapping (VSM). And we'll discuss when and why you could use these.
    In the end, the Define phase is summarised in a project plan (or project charter), setting you up for success in the next phases of DMAIC.
