Its possible to get it almost watertight, for rain at least. But some will always get in in heavy rain Though adjusting the windows is a frustrating job still
How strange you should mention having a scar on your knee from falling when cross country running. I have a scar on my knee from cross country running. It’s not especially prominent any more as I got it at school in the last century and until now I can’t remember the last time I considered my scar on my knee or told anyone about it. I’ll tell you though. I got it during a school games lesson, we went to do some cross country running for some reason. I suppose we could have played football or done some athletics on the field but no, we went for a run around the lanes. I was lucky that I grew up in a small and pretty town surrounded by some delightful rolling countryside and this was the setting for what nowadays would be an absolute scandal. We were running along and the teacher who took us cross country running had this idea that cross country running should be a brutal and miserable activity, not a fun one so he would shout at us and try to compel us to run faster. I didn’t mind cross country running but I didn’t enjoy this particular style of cross country running and being a spirited and independently minded early teenager I decided I would run at a pace that I enjoyed instead. The teacher didn’t like this and when shouting at me to make me run faster failed to yield the desired result he started pushing me and it was at this point he pushed me so hard I fell. My knee hit the edge of the road where the lip and the broken gravel are and started to bleed. Heavily. If you remember those white socks with the red and blue bands I had those in and one of them went red with blood. There was an awful lot of blood. Not enough to create any visible remorse in the teacher, though he did apologise to my angry father. He seemed to leave me alone after that, so I decided to use my new found freedom from persecution to recruit my friends to my mild rebellion, but it didn’t really get time to gather momentum because we only had a couple of months before we left for big school. I didn’t pursue cross country running once I left school, I prefer to ride my bike instead.
Keep her silver. Why not try out your painting techniques with the yellow boot lid, if you can find it. The bit below the boot could be improved with PDR, and a silver blow over. Lovely car BTW, I'm jealous.
excellent choice. Notice the Icon for my name? Yep, one of my MGs, this one in Volcano. The other (MGTF) is in silver. The MGF has 230,000Klms. In Australia they don't rust, the paint is hammered by the sun.
There is a trophy yellow mgf on a driveway not far from me. It never moves, mot ran out in sept 2022. Low mileage only 56000ish on it. Might knock on to see if its for sale.
8:26 defo a Nigel MGF. Although sale value would be less. As you say, not enough brave people out there. Be nice to hear how you feel it handles pre and post suspension being pumped up.
Those hydrogas units are shot mate 😮 . Once replaced they transform the ride and handling like you wouldn't believe 😊. My V reg MK2 is the same colour and over the years I've pretty much replaced everything 😂. However, the K series has let me down and the head is scrap , the block is corroded and scrap and all 4 liners have sunk lower than a dollop of whale shit . Weirdly enough your MGF's engine would fit into mine with no problems 😊 ... just saying
Having submitted two comments as we discussed a week or two ago, I now find myself wondering if these comments are now competing with each other for thumbs ups. I’m not really into collecting thumbs ups on comments, but it is nice when you get them so how will I feel if one comment gets 5 thumbs ups and the other only one? What if the one that gets just one is the comment I think is best? Mrs Miller says I’m guilty of overthinking, but having given it a great deal of consideration I don’t think I agree.
And with a beige leather interior, full wood dash, with chrome fag lighter and ashtray. It was beautiful (until Longbridgeism was found in the build quality). Joseph Lloyd would have loved it.
Do you use any kind of rust killer captain ? When you did the bonnet on nigel did you spray alittle bit of water on to lubricate or did you do it dry ?. British racing green on my MG captain .You know if i had one . Ratted , spray it matt black😂
I sometimes wonder how a car owner would feel if they sold their car to a TH-camr and they go through their vehicle and find loads of niggling little faults. I know that Cliff is not very mechanically minded and doesn’t have the facilities to maintain his far too many vehicles which he may offer in mitigation, it’s more the people who claim their vehicles to be marvellous, fault free examples that I have in mind. I think my car is ok, everything works and seems to be correctly attached and I would be mortified if I sold it to someone on the internet who then pulled it apart and found it to be in a right old state. Especially as most of the car channels seem to pride themselves on a level of incompetence which is rather misplaced in most cases.
I certainly don't pride myself for my incompetence, but I never hide it. Cars of this age are always going to have faults, especially if they've been run into by a truck
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (Do a multi-coloured Wetleg!) 🤩👌

Nice stuff, glad you’re enjoying MGF life!

keep it silver and elegant
I don't like silver at all
Nightfire Red or Navy Blue! Also if you come down South in the summer you can visit Dent Rewind In High Brooms, Tunbridge Wells!

Viper green 😂, come on !
Volcano orange and Amaranth purple are probably my favourite colours on an MGF.

It's a bit bumpy at the moment 😅
Good video Paul 👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Weirdly soothing

Please paint the MGF in Biomorphic Green. It's so vibrant.
Nigella?…. Nigel’s athletic, multi coloured sister 🤔. Do it!
That makes Wetleg sound sexy
Back one colour front another, project MyGF
Oh 😅
With a stitch in-between the colours 👍🤞
Ratting a MGF, I'm beginning to think your brain is freezing driving round with the top down so much! 😂
😅😅
Snapdragon Yellow like they did some of the Maxis!
Arancio Racing (Racing Orange) F255 code, as used on FIAT 131 Sport and 127 Sport, best colour ever put on any car IMHO
That sounds great

You're definitely not very thinking this. Thumbs ups make lives, erm...
Techno violet std no flake added
The colour should be Tahiti Blue, mine was beautiful in that colour.
Nah

Mgf trophy blue
No!
WETLEG could do with a touch-up pen, Paul. As it will just take the eye off all the rust spots. 😊
And improve his overall look 🤗
Pink😂
Yeah that would work for me
