HBI - have you guys thought about selling a barrel kit that includes a machined barrel matched to the trunnion already? I'm not sure the trunnion is an easy to get ahold of part but I think it would be a great kit for some of us who'd rather just install a barrel and skip a gun smith.
Hello. While removing my barrel nut today, I think I turned the entire barrel a tiny bit. Is that even possible considering the 8 stakes and red threadlock? I have an early Scorpion and my barrel nut had a ton of red thread lock. No looking at the stake marks, some of them line up on the trunnion and barrel, some are slightly off. Any thoughts? Worth worrying about?
Do you guys offer this service should you buy the barrel and hand guard? It would be much easier to just send your factory barrel with trunnion attached and have you swap it out and machine the interface seeing how you have the proper tools.
Great question; we actually offer complete drop in barrels+trunnions now, here is a link: hbindustries.net/store/shop/cz-scorpion-microk-conversion-kit/ . We may offer more options/variations in the future, please just cruise around our webstore or give us a call/email and we can get you set up :-)
Is the exterior of the factory barrel supposed to have a brownish/bronze color to it??? I shined a white light through the opening on the handguard while oiling the barrel and it looks bronze to me. Is this normal???
Hoping CZ gets some new barrels in stock, they make them drop in now, at least if you order the barrel w trinium. Been wanting to take my carbine down, Lead we trust has been out as well so hoping CZ comes thru soon. Wanted to ask, once I swap the barrel, and order your hand guard kit does the barrel nut no longer need to be used since your guard comes with a kit?
Yes, correct, our Evo handgaurds "free float" the barrel, because they mount on the trunnion/barrel fixation. Therefore, with any of our aluminum handguards installed you will no longer need the barrel nut :-)
You will need a tool to remove the 3plus barrel nut (secures handguard to barrel trunnion). We make one, please just select "Scorpion 3 Plus" from the dropdown box: hbindustries.net/store/shop/cz-scorpion-evo-3-and-3-plus-barrel-nut-tools/
It wasn't listed on their site at the time I posted Jalen... Link was live, just not in the menus: hbindustries.net/store/shop/cz-scorpion-micro-k-barrel/
@@hb_industries Great, thank you for the reply. I have the 16" barrel on order for my SBR build (Maryland has an OAL for SBR, so 10" will keep me compliant). Once I receive it I will follow up with you all!!
Made it easy for me to decide to never mess with the barrel on my Scorpion.
Same lol
Right...

Why don't y'all make the barrel and grunion and sell it as a set? This way it makes swap out much easier.
I thought the same thing. A trunion probably costs $50 or less
will you sell the vise attachment
doesn't using that crows foot change the torque reading?
Great short video that gave me the information I needed to get the work done. Thanks guys! Stay safe. - Krup
Do you have a video on how to remove the complete barrel and trunion fron the receiver?

Justin, hope you see this. How did you make out? I just did the exact same thing to my early scorpion.
Crows foot should be at a 90 deg angle with the torque wrench to get accurate torque specs. I've learned this the hard way in the past lol

Why does the trunion notch on my scorpion 3 + look more like a chip than it being milled into the trunion

How much will it be for a barrel swop on a Cz micro? The 5 inch barrel you sale for it??
Does somebody know a source where to obtain a blueprint/CAD/etc file for a Scorpion barrel? Thank you.
Any help getting the handguard off the scorpion 3 plus

I just bought a HG hand guard and cant get my barrel nut off smh
Are the HBI scorpion barrels button rifled?
Yes, they are button rifled and stress relived
Where can one buy a micro/K barrel?
do you really not know?

Great job! 👍
Can you cut down a carbine (16") barrel to 10" and permanently attach a three lug mount?
Yes, the profile of the factory carbine barrels is 0.625" at 6" from the muzzle, certainly enough material to cut/thread/pin/weld :-)

@@556ChannelHD Where did you find a 16" barrel?
Is he saying 8 Newton meters is 65 foot pounds? I swear he says that like 3 times in the video. 80 Nm is approximately 60 ft-lbs in my reality.
I take away that I'm going a different route on building my scorpion sbr
