When they start their rage they get an empowered strike type deal but it depends on the weather
Then at 14th level each weather effect gets mildly powered up and when they rage they get to *choose* the weather
I like the idea of a Goliath weatherman barbarian who summons a lightning storm whenever he is enraged. Show a little bit of storm giant heritage
i feel like he'd be more so the sports guy.

He clearly has the highest Wisdom of the party. Because he knows how how bad this is screwing up the continent meanwhile his party doesn't seem to care at all. Lmao
Today, most of the land is overcast with chilly temperatures, but for those of you in the eastern parts, look out! We have reports of localized adventurers in that area, so be prepared for anything.
And as usual, we advise all our viewers to report any sightings of spontaneous teleportation events to their local weathermen.
Remember, it's always cloudy with a chance for heroes.

I like how the forest temperature keeps raising to ludicrous heights because of the fire, but even though the volcano is errupting, the temperature always stays at a *_NICE_* 69゜

Absolutely amazing and makes a very fair point. Weathermen be useless in dnd as practically any spellcaster can alter the weather and make the most disastrous situations within moments

One major use: "Well, this weather wasn't predicted. So now we know there's a wizard that needs lynching, somewhere."
Pathfinder has a few abilities for perfectly-accurate weather predictions that create situations of "Well, this was outside of predictions, therefore, it's magic." Which can be pretty useful information to know.

Can we get a full DND News Team. I could imagine the bard and Paladin as the co-anchors, fighter or monk as the sports reporter, Wizard being a correspondent (and subsequently dying after flubbing his lines.)

Throwing it back isn’t the new way to take an oath. It’s a technique as old as time itself, mastered through generations of dedicated warriors trying to make the world just a little bit safer.
And after writing this I think I’m going to make a paladin with the oath of throwing it back.

Ohh this one was lovely! Would love to see the version where the weatherman is 100% used to this. Somewhere along the lines of:
"We issue Spontaneous Tsunami warnings in the Southern Seas, as not one but two groups of adventurers have been sighted. We will update you as the situation develops."
I am the DM for a group of Meteorology Majors who have been running a campaign for two years and we cal ourselves the pressure drops…

The best advice I heard from my friend regarding DND weather is "Look up the weather in a random year for a city in an environment close to the kind your in game city is in, such as Chicago, boom, you have realistic weather for the entire campaign that no one will be able to predict."

Barbarian weatherman and weatherman from the Pokemon universe could share a few war stories on that front...

The real question is if Pokemon are spellcasters?
Time to invent that orb that captures spellcasters you can choose later for fights with extra spellslots...Then again, that sounds like a real D&D magic item with captured souls or genies or even demons casting spells for you.

Okay, but to the wizard's credit, the average temperature of the region was 21 degrees. It's reasonable enough to assume a fireball isn't gonna start a forest fire if it's cold enough to snow.
If the weather news had that live feed then I'd trust it more.

The range on it is ridiculously short.
The first D&D campaign that I got to play had a npc who wanted to be a weatherman and was trying to invent it. The guild had a habit of waking up because of him to just beat him up to get him to stop so they could sleep. One player joined in and one time was able to be first to get him. The player had fallen asleep in the forge on the first floor while all the sleeping quarters were on the second floor. I have no idea how the npc lived now that i think about it but my friend painted such a hilarious scene that it seemed like out of a cartoon.
He even did the little pause. Masterful.
BBEG: *casts tsunami*
Wizard: "COUNTERSPELLL BI-"
(cycle repeats until they run out of spell slots)

Bad traits to give your DnD classes pt 4 idea:
A pyromancer who has a low heat tolerance
A cryomancer who has a low cold tolerance
A bard who is tone deaf
A druid who is scared of snakes and bugs
A paladin who is atheist
A cleric who has a bad bedside manner
A necromancer who has a sensitive nose
That's it- I need this is my campaign
Every second of that was gold.

Well, you see people start praying more in certain weather. The woodchucker when he sees a forest fire. The fisher when the big wave forms. The miner when the ground starts shaking. They all start praying to their gods. And the gods answer in time. Perhaps. From a certain point of view. I mean their temples are safe from any ill and open to anyone that prays enough. (or was it pay? no definietly pray). In the meantime the adventurers do the gods will, weather they know or even care.

See, this is why my Sorcerer/Artificer only uses an Iron Man suit to cast his spells.
