Karen and Ken own to the mean water level. There is a law which prohibits property owners from harassing fishermen.

Great video! What needs to happen is that since you went away ( instead of getting into a fight) and sought a more clear understanding from the police about your rights as a fisherman. The police should've shown up at those property owners door steps, and gave them a schooling on their rights as property owners. Also, they should warn them that if they harass any more fishermen, who are fishing lawfully, it is them who will be receiving the fines.
Been in that situation several times when in a boat or kayak. I simply tell them they own the land to the water and the state kindly let them put a dock above their ( the states) water. The riparian doctrine .

First....great video! You brought me back to my youth days when I used to wade fish all over Tampa Bay. (thank you for that!).....Now, about the "Ken" and his "Riparian Rights" claim. Upon further research, he was mixing apples with oranges. Bottom Line: He has ZERO claim as to say whether you can fish there or not. ....and he would posses ZERO liability in case of some type of "injury" to a fisherman. Tell him to pound sand and keep doing with your doing my man! Again, thanks for the video!
