    Love the cow face. No music vote for me. Silence is golden, unless you are talking, then you are golden. I like straight or WONKY blocks.

    Wonkify.....now there's a technical quilting term 😂. Nice tips. Prefer no music....it's almost always too loud. Thank you for the video 😊👍💕

    I love wonky for some things and not wonky for others. I am happy with silence or sounds. Whatever you choose is great. ❤

    Love the matchstick quilting. And for short fast forward no music is fine. And wonky makes it fun!

      Thank you Elena. I try to give tips and tricks for beginners is they can have success on their projects. It’s a hard bake me between not talking too much and sharing the tips and tricks 😉. I’m very happy to keep this channel music free as much as possible.

    Nice tutorial. The white fabric with different colored threads sounds like a great idea. Wonky would be great, too. I’m thinking of doing a rectangular piece and making a basket like you showed us earlier this year.
    As for me, I’d rather just have you chatting with the sewing even the speeded up sewing. No music.

    I enjoy your method of quilt as you. I'm making walker bag.
    This close quilt will give the stability I want. Thank you much..
    I will be following. 😊

      Thank you so much. I use similar quilting for my tote for the same reason. It makes It feel sturdier and the bags hold their shape nicely. Happy Sewing!!

    Loved watching you put the Log Cabin block together. The Log Cabin block is my favorite no music for me would be fine I wouldn't miss it at all. I pay more attention to your sewing in fast mode than I do listening to music

    I have never made a wonky block but it sounds fun to try. I appreciate your time and effort in showing us how you do the quilt along blocks. I love the log cabin one but my favourite so far is the hexagon one. I am looking forward to the strip block next. Thanks Robin.

    As always...another great video! I love it when you add your version of 'wonkitudity' to a project. I would rather hear you talking than music or silence during the speed sewing sections. After all, that's what most of us love about you.😊

    I love doing those log cabins but mine doesn’t always come out good lol i haven’t really been back to sewing since mom passed away not sure why but i do miss sewing more knitting now hoping to get back into sewing need to clean up the mess. Cold out here windy only 5 degrees Celsius lol that is Newfoundland for you have a great weekend

    Wonky is my favorite quilting style. Most any pattern winds up in my signature wonky style and I'm not mad at it. I did some paper piecing log cabin and hexi blocks and they are Devi wonky.

    Personally...I love music!!! Wonky or not...I like the one that is quilted as you go. My machine doesn’t cut the threads...but I would like to try that method...and just cut them as I go. So many projects to try!!!

    My favourite colour blue - good start for a tutorial. I liked your nice straight sewing lines. I would do mine how you explained to Kathy T. I don't mind some music but think I'd prefer your 'voiceover'. I hate video's where they speed up and play music for 3 seconds - I think 'why bother'?
    When I first started playing games on FB 2008, I had a pet penguin on Haikoo Zoo called *Wonky* who I could dress-up. Would you believe I made a photo album of his adventures, which you can find at the bottom of my album list haha - true story :) (I just had a quick peek to remind me of that time) lol

    • @rsislandcrafts
      @rsislandcrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That drives me crazy. I may do a short test run to see how It sounds. Then we’ll go by majority rules. Which will probably be no music and that’s fine. I’m sure I can find something to talk about and do a voice over 😉

    How would you join the blocks and finish it if you want to make a quilt?

    • @rsislandcrafts
      @rsislandcrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At the end of this little series I will be sewing my QAYG blocks together to make a little mat for under my sewing machine. There are a few ways to sew QAYG blocks together. I’m going to use the super simple method of sewing them together as if they were standard blocks. I’ll add the backing and attach them together with a couple simple straight lines of quilting. But I’ll show all of that later in June.

    Wonky is one of the best

  • @kathytincler2446

    I tried one of those once and quit not even half way through. Without a thread cutter it is a tedious pain....no joy in the making. Tfs :)

    • @rsislandcrafts
      @rsislandcrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The thread cutter is a game changer. Making a small piece for a zipper pouch isn’t too bad but anything larger and it’s annoying without the auto thread cutter. If we don’t enjoy the process there’s no point in making the project. Instead of cutting at the end of each row of stitches you could turn the fabric with the needle down, raise the needle and presser foot, then sew the next row. I ended up doing that on the project that I stitched with my Patrons. It was easier to sew that way instead of constantly cutting the thread. Saves a bit on the thread too.
