    Absolutly amazing. Einstein said we should make things as simplest as possible, but not simpler. You did that. Make a nice documentation and mount instructions, give yourself time to make it look all pretty, and you are winning. At the same time that opens up a room for a short video build tutorial.

      @@FoxSock Unfortunately, I don't think it will. The toolhead carriage on the standard ender 3 is different to the s1, therefore you probably will not be able to install the mod unless you change the toolhead carriage.

      Einstein also added a fudge factor to his equations so he could manipulate the outcome to suit him. the cosmological constant made it seem like the universe was eternal, having no beginning. until he was called out for it. until he was shown by Hubble that the galaxies moving away proves there was a definite beginning. now why would a great scientist lie like that? and how many others do the same?
      the law that matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed proves everything was made by the Creator, we call God. who transcends all time space matter.
      like for the theory of evolution. it's scientific. it's science fiction. you have to use an IMAGINATION for any of the evidence. now when I look at all the facts and evidence I see a world that's not billions of years old, but 6000. I see that there was a global catastrophic flood. there is extraordinary evidence for that, all those fossils had to be buried very quickly. there are petrified trees going up and down through layers, meaning it had to of been from liquefaction. I'm not making this up, watch Kent hovind. if the greatest of scientists can lie for their agenda, so can anyone else.
      just look at Lucy. those bones. it's a baboon, nothing human about it. don't let them fool you. all those "missing links"? no sorry they're not different species and no proof they had any descendants. in science u must prove things without a doubt. a theory has doubt it cannot be scientific because it must demonstrate to be repeatable.

      Love your mod! Printed it today, it’s awesome and fits perfectly. I was hoping that I can easily switch between the extruded and the laser engraver. But the laser engraver doesn’t fit when your mod is mounted :( it’s just about 2mm or so. In case you want to make it even better for the contest, you could maybe find a solution that the laser engraver also fits.. but nevertheless: GREAT JOB! Thanks a lot!

    Some of the best mods and or inventions are the ones that are the simplest.
    Your mod here is the perfect example of that fact. It's so simple and straight forward that all you need is what you get when you purchase the printer as you mention in the video. You just do a quick print and mount it, and you're done.
    Great job on coming up with that design.

All designed from scratch, many hours of CAD work but It still can reach entire bed so lost no print size. Linear rail adapters and the IDEX mounts all made from aluminum for rigidity. • @properprinting
      @properprinting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can be roughly four things. The CR touch, the cable(s), the interface board or the main board. I cannot give a clear answer of what it might be, because you need to start excluding things to find the culprit. My best bet would be the connection to the interface board and second best, the CR touch itself.

      I bought it from a local Dutch site, but you can look for 2mm prototyping board on Amazon or AliExpress to find something like this. Note that the standard is 2.54mm, so double check this!

    Do you also have a mod for the CR Laser engraver? So I can hot swap between the two tools without removing brackets?

    Do you have an adapter for the Creality CV-Laser for tool swap?

      Somebody place that on Printables! www.printables.com/model/192454-cv-laser-module-holder-for-ender-3-s1

    So it makes it so you can slide the engraver/nozzle thing on and off without needing to unscrew it? That's cool

    I would love to see if you could fit this extruder and hot end to the old folding ender 3

    • @properprinting
      @properprinting  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The tool plate of this printer should fit any standard Creality printer. I don't know if they can be bought separately, but it would be a smart move if it would because this extruder performs very well! I still have that Foldable Ender 3, but I haven't gotten to it yet to do more with it. If I do, I'm going to change the folding mechanism as well to make that better and simpler.

      @@properprinting would the wiring be an issue as the new one has a ribbon cable? I’ve just bought all your plans to turn my ender 3 into a foldable one

    • @properprinting
      @properprinting  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@86sprout Thanks for buying the plans! The ribbon cables makes it more difficult to lengthen the cables. If I could do it over again I would've bought new cables at the right length. I managed to lengthen them and everything works just fine, but it's a hassle and an increased risk.

      @@properprinting how hard would adapting the wiring be from the new s1’s hotend and extruder to work with the old ender 3 wiring?

    • @properprinting
      @properprinting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@86sprout That wouldn't be the easiest task. I reverse engineered the connector and you can find the pinout in the Other tools tab on this page properprinting.pro/product/creality-ender3s1-simpletoolchanger/ This cable goes to a large flat cable connector on the board which is not like the standard Creality boards. This means that you need to make some sort of adapter for it. Soldering individual wires is also possible, but it's very difficult to go back to its original state.

      Some people reported this problem, so you're not alone. The tolerances of the sheet metal part are quite course. You can resize the part a bit in the slicer software in the horizontal direction only to make it longer while the dove tail connection remains snug. Hopefully this helps!
