James: “I love Society”
"We live in a joker!"
I don't know what Yuzna's intention with this movie was, but as someone who does have psychosis, this movie is extremely accurate to what it feels like. I have literally used it in therapy to get my therapist to understand what space I was in.
Watching all the kill counts and finally made it to Society after what feels like years of being referenced.
Can I just say how his job is literally talking about death yet he is probably one of the most wholesome people to exist on TH-cam. I love James, he's great.
This is like the human centipedes older and weirder uncle
Poor James, he didn’t know what was coming this year. :(
I....I....I don’t even know how shunting came from a sane person.
I can’t believe this still isn’t age restricted
Me at the beginning of the video: "What is shunting?"
I respect a man who changes his name because he thinks it's too boring.
You know, I never thought I’d ever artistically identify with anybody named "Screaming Mad George" but I have to say, I completely understood what he meant when he said "I felt like painting was too limiting for what I wanted to express,". I can't say we have similar taste in art styles or preferences, mine is more 2d animation and visual storytelling. The more I got into drawing and painting, the more static and limited I felt my work was just on paper or canvas because in my head I see it in 3 dimensions, I see it in motion, I see colors and movement and expressions and scenes with context to explore. Im from a podunk rural Iowa farming town, so I was very lucky to get my hands on a digital drawing tablet, I had to teach myself everything cause nobody else I knew had any clue about it, so it took a while. But it's so interesting to hear somebody else sum up such an abstract feeling I'd felt for so long, so succinctly! Kindred spirits man, right on!
If Joker knew THIS Society, his quote would be very different.
”Welcome to the kill cow" "I'm James Agee DS"
Fun fact about Screaming Mad George's name. In Japanese, his first name, Joji, is a popular given name of Japanese origin BUT it's also the Japanese transliteration of the English George. For that, a lot of Japanese men named Joji use the English name George abroad. When written in Japanese, Joji and George are spelled and pronounced the same way.
I love this movie for how it subverts the gratuitous nudity and sex present in most horror films of the time. There's a ton of nudity, sure, but pretty much every nude scene is deeply uncomfortable in some way for both Bill and the viewer. It's great.
Joker: "We live in a society"
This movie is like the combination of a fever dream, a bad acid trip, and a rejected episode of the twilight zone.
I seen this movie when I was very little and I've thought it was a nightmare for 18 years. In all that time I've never forgot it and I think about all time. Thank you for helping me find the movie that lingered in my thoughts for so long
