And playing what Yu-Peng Chen comes up with is no easy job, look at the mini marimba dude killing it at 3:43, it's highly complex music
In Rage Beneath the Mountains orchestra video you can see the bass player doing an INSANE riff at one point
I remember seeing on the Inazuma OST behind the scenes, I remember at least the Shakuhachi, Drums and Shamisen players saying that the songs were very challenging to perform

    Persian instruments: santoor, daf, kamancheh
    Arabic instruments: oud, gambus, darbuka
Overall, did not expect these instruments to go so seamlessly together.

      Mondstadt- Classically adventurous
      Liyue- Irreverently joyous
Inazuma (my fave) - Majestically tranquil
      Sumeru- Uniquely grand
      Fontaine- Hauntingly refined
They are all incredible pieces of music that challenge the genres they are associated with. I think a lot of people really adore Sumeru's music is because it's something completely different and relatively unknown until now.

A shamshir (Persian: شمشیر) is a type of Persian/Iranian sword with a radical curve. The name is derived from the shamshīr, which means "sword" in the Persian language.
Right as Swirls of Shamshir starts we hear the instruments Sitar and Oud playing in an orderly fashion, like a duet, both complementing each other.
This is really neat because what exactly is a swordplay? It is a duet. A dance between two swords as neither can perform without the other.
    I'm 100% sure it's gonna be a combat/battle music.

Some recommendations would be "Ya Nabi Salam Alayka" and "Assalamu Alika". There are many more but I don't live there anymore so not up-to date with what's trending. There is another which is popular in Dubai and my cousin told me about was "Boshrit kheir".

I physically can’t get enough of that amazing segment from 7:34-8:16. The way it crescendo’s towards the end of it gives me chills every single time.
Lol I could never be a part of the orchestra because once that moment arrived I’d get so caught up in it I wouldn’t be able to focus on playing the instrument.

It helps you play! The magic, the moment, it makes you hit harder. Many times I have finished a performance with tears streaming down my face.

It’s nice seeing the cultural diversity in this orchestra performance,, thus the inspirations are not only Arabic and Indian. The more appropriate and inclusive terms would be south Asian, Middle Eastern and Persian. As the inspirations for sumeru are taken from other south Asian and Middle Eastern countries as well, not only India and the arabian gulf countries.
For Example; Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Iran, Mongolia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Nepal and etc (sorry if I missed on other countries).

The music is Arabian Night, it is literally Arab. No combination of cultural diversity, it is ARAB, no doubt about.

@@malcolmdune no it's a mixed culture as the music producers are Arabic and Indian nationality.

This is why I will always 100% support them, this music just really seals the deal for why Genshin is my all-time favorite gacha and part of my top 5 favorite games of all-time. It makes it feel good knowing that whatever money thrown at them is probably supporting this music

Same! Was discussing how I was buying the albums for Genshin Music on iTunes and my friend was telling me it was more expensive than alternate methods but honestly, I genuinely don't mind because the money is continuously funding this game and this amazing music. Absolutely love the music in this game.

In this era where traditional music is almost die (because younger generation love modern music than traditional), Hoyoverse still trying to make it alive. Other games might have good music too, but none of them is trying to preserve traditional music like Hoyoverse did. That's why I love Genshin music so much and I will always support them for this particular reason

As a Chinese ,I think the greatness of Genshin is not only in bringing together so many powerful musical elements, but also in its 100% tolerance and love for the music of various regions and countries.

It's an honor and privilege to be able to listen and watch this... I was a musician myself, played trumpet during my high school and college years.. my love for symphonies and classical music has only grown over the years... I don't play the game, and my son does... he used to hate music and sport, but since he started listening to Genshin Music, he became a music lover himself and now studies piano as his extracurricular.. during our daily drive to school, Genshin music especially Sumeru, Fontaine, and Inazuma are always played among others... and in my own time, I also play these.. like almost everyday... so... thank you soooo muchhhhh...... Yu Peng Chen, Dimeng Yuan, their respective teams... the London and Tokyo symphony orchestra.. everyone who is part of this.. thank you!
