You are referring to Kamancheh, which is from central asia of origin. Kamanja is different, Kamanja notes are used by normal violins but is using the Arabian violin notes. Giving the Arabian feeling.
Second, you are referring to Santoor (indian version) which is inspired by the Santur. Though this is the original Santur variant and not the Indian one. Which is also from Persian origin. The santur was invented and developed in the area of Iran and Mesopotamia.

Now THIS is true globalization and cultural exchange. Taking the best of a wide variety of cultures and merging it in what has to be one of the BEST pieces of modern art. Music is the Universal language, it transcends hatred and division, it brings people together and unite them in a single harmony of peace and love.
Doesnt really matter how much is Indian, or South, Western asian, arabic, etc. It is more than just that, it is the expression of what Chinese people understand of what was beyond their part of the silk road. Hoyoverse and Hoyomix take representation to a whole new level, making pure art and respecting the place of milennial cultures that historically have been interacting peacefully and violently through countless generations.
This is coming from a Latino that grew up in constant discord with my fellow Latinos, we are all one, stop the fighting and enjoy the art.

I sometimes cannot understand people who say that Genshin doesn't have representation when all they focus on is the characters and their skin color.
Hello?? Have you listened to the music? Bothered to look at these beautiful orchestral videos that have such a wide and diverse group of people playing these traditional and cultural instruments for the game you're playing? Have you even noticed the great cultural representation there is in each region from clothes, to buildings to names even?
Representation isn't just portrayed in skin color; but in music, fashion, traditions, food, environment, etc.
Open up your eyes people, you're forgetting to appreciate these other traits that are just a representative masterpiece and overall just beautiful and aesthetic art.

Genshin is the first game since Ocarina of time that makes me stop to fully enjoy the songs, and Sumeru is just beyond. Thank you to all the incredible people involved in this.

Indian muisc❤️🔥Tabla is the most famous percussion instrument of North India. It is most commonly used in North Indian classical music, but its versatility in all musical styles has enabled it to become the most popular percussion instrument in all of India.❤️ sitar, sarod, tambura, sahnai, sarangi, and tabla; while instruments commonly used in Karnatak classical music include the vina, mrdangam, kanjira, and violin.

If anyone from genshin team looking at comments, I want to thank you guys for putting different cultural music in one game. As if our music style was represented. It was done so beautifully, it felt so accurate for the theme. I would request for a single flute piece if possible in later part.
The sitar, santoor, flute, tabla, dholak combination was outstanding. Thank you.
