It looks very clean!! I need to look into that radio for my Lancer GT but first I need to switch out the stock speakers because they're no longer good lol
Had the android unit in my Lancer… was cool nut sound quality wasn’t good once I turned it up with the factory RF system. Thought about it in the Evo to have all my gauges but ended up with another pioneer. But love how the big screen updates the interior.
@@TheJMedia The best way to get the highest quality audio is to wire a bluetooth receiver on the AUX port, the receiver is built with a DAC aptX HD. The sound is way better than any chinese car radio that uses low-end bluetooth modules (even the most expensive ones).
Ok, what I want to know is how do you control the things you used to control through the MMCS headunit, like blinker flash, auto headlight sensitivity, auto wiper, remote functionality etc

I'd also really love to see what you can control from your steering column because the steering wheel looks the same as mine.
@bagerklestyne You have to go to settings on the headunit to reconnect the steering wheel buttons. There is an option called "steering wheel controls" under settings

Hey, I have a problem with my new Android radio. I saw in your video that you only plugged in one of the 3 factory cables which provided power. I did the exact same thing as you but I didn't get any audio out. After a little trouble shooting I found out that there is another factory plug that is responsible for the speakers/audio. How did you solve this now with you, please for help
I had no issues with audio. If you connected everything, it may be either wiring issue or the Android radio issue. Try contacting your seller for support
So Mine 2015 Mitsubishi lancer S he has a back up camera. I bought a radio similar to this and I was wondering what I have to splice the back up camera wire into the original wire?
Hey, my 2015 Mitsubishi lancer came from the factory with a back up camera as well. I just had to connect all the wiring harnesses provided and back up camera works
I'm afraid that having the Gps antenna exposed outside that the antenna will get damage from heat. It may not be now but soon. How much difference (in terms of reception) will it make if I have the gps antenna inside or outside like you did? Thank you
I had the gps antenna outside for years on my other cars and never had any issues. I always had it out for better reception so not sure if putting it elsewhere would make reception more slow
Do the volume buttons on the steering wheel still work? I’m looking for a head unit because for some reason the factory one now causes battery draw when the car isn’t running

It should work just fine if you connected all the wiring correctly. If you have Rockford fosgate or premium amp, you might need to connect an external an amp
It really depends on the ram and rom storage of the head unit. If you buy a cheaper one with 1gb RaM and 16gb rom, then it is going to be slow vs a 4gb rm and 64gb rom.
Nope no issues at all. You might have bought a cheaper headunit with lower specs. They all look the same but they go for different price points and different specs.
Yes you can go to the settings page on the headunit to adjust volume. There is also a small "+ and -" sign on the side of the headunit to adjust as well
Make sure all your wiring is connected correctly. If you have Rockford, you might need to buy an additional amp or plug in for it. Check with your seller
I am sure the wiring is correct, but i just dont understand, the only problem is with the sound, but im not quite sure which wire belongs to the sound system, maybe you know?
@cassie_385 Sorry I don't since I don't have Rockford stereo. From what I heard, you might need to get a separate wire if you have Rockford stereo. Try contacting your seller to see if there is another wire

I also have the RF audio package. I had a simlar issue a when I installed mine a couple of months ago. Ofcourse you have likely already connected the amp ctrl wire with your acc wire. If you haven't than go ahead and make it so. Now to the RCA connections. "AUX (L & R) IN" should be connected to "AUDIO OUT (L & R)." That had me up an running and I hope you have the same result. If you've already figured it out perhaps someone else will find this useful
I have one on mines but it won’t work on Bluetooth any suggestions like it connects but the only thing it plays is a song that the system already has downloaded by maddona😂
It should work just fine. Sounds like music is playing so sound works but maybe check to make sure that your phone has been connected to the headunit and make sure that phone and headunit settings are working good?
Hey im having a problem with the radio and im wondering if you know the solution . When the car is on the screen cuts out and says “no video signal” but when I only turn the key once the the screen and audio works fine. Do you know what the problem could be?
Hey, sorry not sure what your issue might be but sounds like it is not getting power. You'll have to turn the key once to accessory mode to have radio turn on
Not sure if you have this issue, but if anyone has that 'dip' in the middle, on the top of the unit after install. It's because the clip isn't inserting itself where it needs to go, but rather under the slot. I just installed this, trying to figure out why fitment was crap. I looked at both shrouds, the OEM (top-middle) clip was slightly skinnier on the sides. So I cut some material off the clip (on the shroud provided) where it was having that 'dip' in the middle. Once I took some material off on each side, it went it easy an looks flush like OEM. No weird looking bends, dips or waves. Just thought I'd share my experience, if anyone has this issue. I'm currently working on another issue. I can't get this unit to pair with my OBD2 adapter to use the torque app. I see the adapter in settings, when trying to 'pair'. When I tap 'pair', it tries for a few seconds then the OBD2 disappears. Idk why. Going to try an order another adapter an see if that's why. But overall I'm happy with it. It's a cheap China unit but it's worlds better than the base Lancer (non-RF) unit I had. That was junk!
Thanks for sharing your tip! Very helpful information. I haven't connected my head unit to an obd reader so not sure but hopefully you get it to work. I agree, definitely makes the interior look more modern and better than stock in my opinion!
@Antony I can't remember. I believe 3. 1 on each side, and one in the middle where you see the dip. You don't need to cut the clip off entirely. Just the sides to make it skinnier to fit through the hole were it supposed to go. You can see it when you mate it together, look at the middle clip on the radio housing, then look at where it's supposed to go through. The clips too thick/wide. It'll just go under, which causes the dip. Once you trim it skinnier, it'll go through easy, an dip is corrected.
