I bought one like that and I lost my back up camera and I can't use my steering controll volume. What would you recommend
It sounds like you may have not connected the back up camera wire. As for the steering wheel controls, you have to go to settings on the radio to re-set it up

Currently have an aftermarket radio/sub installed would i need anything additional for this unit? Already have oem wiring harness for steering controls
I'm not sure about the sub since I don't have one, but this aftermarket radio is plug and play

Hey, I don't but you will have to go to the settings to re-teach the steering wheel controls. Just go to the settings on the head unit, then find the steering wheel control option and pair each button to the action you want it to do

I didn't have to wire anything extra for steering wheel controls to work on my other car. I took off the OEM steering wheel and switched it out to an aftermarket steering wheel so I had no need to connect steering wheel controls on this car
Was your OEM unit the rockford fosgate amp?
It was not. It had the OEM premium audio but non Rockford fosgate

Nice vid, and the unit looks really decent. I'm guessing though that for those Lancers equipped with the MMCS head unit from the factory that many of the features and functionalities from that system would be lost?

@@TheJMediaThings like the vehicle settings e.g. keyless operation system, side mirrors automatically unfolding, exterior/interior lights timeouts, rain sensing wipers on/off and sensitivity, automatic headlights on sensitivity, activate/disable 1-touch lane change flashes, door locking options, to name a few. It should come with it. Sorry to hear about that. For the steering wheel controls, you should be able to go to settings on the headunit and sync it to your steering wheel to "relearn" settings
All the features should work the same. I know for sure keyless operating system works since mine does. As for the other systems, I would think so too

You can go to settings and get the time changed
Hey man, I've got the Youmecity Android 12, for my 2017 Lancer ES. The oem camera won't work even after I've bought the pin connector that connects to the Reverse cam, would you know a fix for it
That's a different headunit from what I have. I will be making a separate video on connecting the oem back up camera to the aftermarket headunit that will be up on the channel this week
@@TheJMedia thanks man! The connections are all identical to yours just slightly different layout its just the matter of, I had to get a different power connector that already has the Grey Pin (reverse cam) integrated so its just a plug n play
@EricEgot Yes, you'll have to get a separate wiring harness to connect to the grey oem back up camera, otherwise you will have to splice wires to make it work

Yes you can. Just need to make sure to connect the back up cam wire to the headunit

It is holding up great! This is actually the same xtrons one I had in my Ralliart that I installed on my lancer now. Had it for over a year and still works great

No issues on mine though I have heard that on some cars that happens. It could be your OEM Bluetooth module that you have in the car on the passenger side below the glove box
How to set it back to default settings
You should be able to do a factory reset under settings
What was the old headunit
I don't remember the name of the brand but I bought it a few years back. I have it up for sale
I added this radio to my Lancer and got also the double connector wire-set. but no sounds from the speakers
Everything should work if you have it all connected correctly. You might want to check with your seller to make sure you got the correct radio for your car since some radios are for Rockford fosgate and some are not
@@TheJMedia I got a Mitsubishi Lancer 1.8 Intense of 2009. The stock radio is a Rockford Fosgate with subwoofer in the trunk. The funny thing is, my seller send me a tutorial link to your video. You also use the same new radio as I got now. but there is still no sound. I check the fuse, was okay. Built in the old radio, connect everything, work. So install the new radio, still no sound. Also the AMP wire is not connected in the connector.
Is your radio Xtrons brand? I'm not sure about your car since we don't have the 1.8 lancers here and only the Evo x here comes with Rockford fosgate. Not sure if those are a little different. Maybe try connecting the amp wire to see if any sound?

I can’t seem to find the setting for steering wheel control re learn did u need a password for it?
No password needed for it. Just need to go to settings, then click on steering wheel controls and then relearn and pair the buttons

hey man i’m getting ready to buy this for my evo but i just wanted to check if this works with rockford fosgate and if all the steering wheel controls work
Steering wheel controls all work. Just need to go to settings on the headunit and "relearn it" under steering wheel settings. As for Rockford fosgate, make sure to check with the buyer it is compatible since some are and some are not. They all look the same but make sure to check with seller

Look at the harness at 11:00. the harness for rockford audio systems needs to have the black box in it.

Should work just fine on the final edition

My car came with back up camera from the factory, but if you want to get back up camera with this headunit, it is an option you can add on.

How did you connect your stock reverse cam to the head? was it plug and play?
@stephenplaciente Yes it is plug and play. Just make sure you have the extra wire included to connect for back up camera since some headunit kits don't include it and you have to buy a separate wire

Sound should work just fine unless you didn't connect the audio cable correctly

Yes has both apple car play and android auto
Does it support SiriusXM?
It doesn't come with it on the radio, but there is an app store that you might be able to download it from if they have an app for it

Make sure all connections are tight and not loose. If it is all connected, audio should work with no issues with radio/Bluetooth. If it is still an issue, might be a problem with the headunit
@@TheJMedia Which one is the Audio? The only one i didnt plug in was the back up loght snd another wire that had a bunch of RDA cables at the end of it. Should i have plugged those in? There was no where to plug it into my lancer though. Thanks for the help man
@pollux2825 No problem. I believe the main harness that is plugged into the headunit by the fuse is what provides power and audio. Also have to plug in the red and white rca cable from the radio to the OEM harness

@pollux2825 Yes that could be why. Red and white rca cables plugged in to red and what rca cables from the car. Male to female connections

Sorry, don't have the link anymore. As long as you get the headunit with the higher spec 64gb and 4gb ram and rom, it will work good.

I had that same hesitation back then but realized that I seldom adjust the volume these days anyway and usually keep it at the same volume when I listen to music.
