Thanks man! It sure has been a wild ride with all kind of route changes getting here. I still think the nights cavalry is gonna be faster if done perfectly but it's too many resets for me to finally get a run in, this seems more consistent and save for the early game!
@@Spectrallic_ When I tried that version I jumped and missed the ledge on the bridge, but he then jumped too so I felled him, then spawned at the grace and grabbed my runes and it was on. Idk if that's something you can consistently but it worked for me.
@@TheJacobHudman I've tried a lot of stuff with the nights cavalry, one of my videos shows he can just randomly jump off without you even interacting with the boss, just run straight by. I used to grab the grace in front and then try to pull the stunt but it's no longer necessary. If I die at this point in the game I simply have to restart the run, which happens plenty of times still!

This run is like alternative pewdiepie speedrun instead of zero death. Extremely helpful for non soul player like me know how to progress as fast as possible
thats exactly the kind of run I'm looking forward to competing for. mastering the movement and the clever usage of terrain as well as the combat itself instead of ziping through the world. I think the radahn and snowfield skip are absolutely fair game. basically only missing out on the niall fight isn't as bad I think everyone will be fine with that. The only thing I personally dislike are the quitout's. controversial opinion I know but I think you have to learn to deal with the mess you made ;)
Getting the two parts to enter Snowfield normally isn't the worst either, it will at probably 5 mins to the run. I'll make a run in the future where I do no skips at all if you're interested. No quit out is also interesting but I think most times it will be less interesting to watch, for example: the black knife assassin before Morgott. You will just tap the grace and wait for him to kill you so you can continue the run as you would normally.
This is how speedruns should be! No exploits, no cheating, no glitching! This shows that you have put a lot of effort in achieving something great rather than "humping that corner" glitching your way to the end credits.

I dont think you realize how glitchs are hard to input and how many hours of research from the whole community there were so that they could find reliables setups for the glitchs to act as you would like to. Sub 7mn is something great, it's just less "impressive" because in the end when you watch it you dont understand shit because you dont understand the glitches, unlike glitchless where it's a more comprehensive run and therefore you can more appreciate the skill of the player. My point is, dont degrade the amount of work and dedication behind any% speedruns.

Not a route suggestion, but how about a version with a commentary track? I want to know your thoughts and why you did things the way you did, ect. Silent gameplay is sort of boring for a 2.5 hour video.
I suggested the same thing in other of his vids, sadly for me he said that for commentary I would have to see the runs done on twitch but, thats not possible for me.. at least I'm pretty sure it was spectrallic's vid..

I have no idea, I quit out after the knight as I normally do and my screen went white and unresponsive. The recording still shows the main menu as normal which I only found afterwards. I had to manually terminate and reboot it

Thank you! You can just do the puzzle normally which will cost you 2-3 minutes more but you'll be able to follow the rest of the run as well :)

Can you explain the crash at 38:50 for me? I've never seen the game crash on main menu with no player input after reviewing 700+ hours of footage.
