      @@lovinlivinrvin7261 Hello! Did you get your tractor yet? Since no one responded to you, I would pick the 1025R for tight spaces and the 2032R for more power and wide open spaces.

      @@lovinlivinrvin7261 , Another YT channel considers the 2025 a "series 1.5" The real 2 series begins with the larger 2032 and up. My advice "Get the smallest tractor that can handle your largest chore. Then it also handle your smallest chore. --- If you get a tractor large enough to easily handle your largest chore, it may be too large to handle your smallest chore." Stay Safe.

    I believe the only restriction orifice in the loader circuit is to reduce the flow when the loader is lowering.
    I'm with you, I don't think a small increase in pressure will do much harm. I may even get around to checking and adjusting mine.
    The curl function having greater force is a function of the geometry of the cylinder to pivot point ratio.

    Great video...I really enjoy the "Outlaw" perspective. When I was a diesel mechanic in Viet Nam rebuilding injectors and pumps, GI's wanted to roll the black smoke on those convoys, the black smoke is just wasted fuel, but I would turn the fuel up and re-seal it for them...most of the time, those transportation companies had access to some really good steaks! Keep the videos coming and dive into some more "Outlaw Stuff!"

    Orfices restrict flow, will not change pressure at all, that is to slowly metter the oil when you lower your boom, with out it the boom will drop super quick and put the supply oil coming in on the other-side of the cylinder under a vacum causing air bubbles aka cavitation

    I enjoyed your video and love the name of your channel as I'm from the North and a Yankee! A concern you didn't address is the possibility to overload your front axle with the greater lift capacity. There is probably a 10%-15% safety margin built into the design which you may have used up. Stay safe!

    • @tcwaterdrill
      @tcwaterdrill ปีที่แล้ว

      Buy a bigger backhoe with a bigger flow rate hyd. pump. Most backhoe speed depends on how much flow and pressure the pump puts out. A lost of the small tractors with backhoes on them do not put out enough flow and pressure to do a good job. Kubota know that very well, and is known for bigger hyd. pump output to help with this. Also warn seals inside the hyd. cylinders will let pressure bypass within the cylinder without showing a external oil leak.

    To answer the question of bucket curl strength being tied to the “spacer” on the coupler. Lift/curl strength is a two part process. 1. Pressure, higher is going to yield more capacity at a cost to equipment strain and wear. 2. Leverage, the geometry of the loader curl vs the lift frame will give more available “torque” to make each function lift more. The curl function is strongest about mid articulation, losing power in either up or down swing, and lift is strongest at the lowest point of travel degrading in the up swing (curl strength also degrades the farther away from pivot point faster than lift).
    Regarding having a smaller orifice being a possible reason for more pressure in the curl. I’ve never seen the inside of that spacer coupler, and I’d like to see it to confirm, but If it were in fact a smaller orifice, I believe It would have a greater affect on flow than it would on pressure. It could affect pressure if the entire run past the orifice was necked the same size, but after the orifice you lose any pressure you gained at the orifice. Pressure maximum is relative to the relief valve you adjusted. With respect to the surface area on the back of the cylinder face, and diameter of the tube. To have an orifice in the middle of the system would have minimal effect to pressure at the cylinder. Huge impact on flow. Possibly controlling dump speed at rated capacity for safety? (Piston Elevators use this same principle as a safety for decent if hydraulics fail with a full carriage at a high floor) I’m not a number cruncher or physicist. Mearly the son of a John Deere construction equipment mechanic who’s also an electrician, and an equipment operator for the U.S. Army. Hydraulics and electrical circuits act similar and hence why I took work as an electrician in the civilian sector lol. Not saying your wrong not having torn into my own 1025r to see what’s in that spacer... but just from a design standpoint there’s a lot more physical evidence in design.
    ...I seriously hope I didn’t lose anyone there lol. My intent was not to detract from your awesome video. Well done.

    on a 2 inch cylinder at 2300 lbs of psi you had about 7225 lbs of push on each cylinder. at 2500 psi you are at about 7854 lbs of push on each cylinder.

    • @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754
      @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would depend on how the hydrostat is plumbed but I really would believe it is your imagination. Since the relief valve you adjusted it is on the control block for the loader.
      I would like to believe the hydro Stat system is a one-piece unit where the pump and the motor are right together and you have a forward and reverse relief all inside the transmission housing?
      On the older John Deere equipment you could go look in the parts book and find where your relief valves are. But I would almost bet that's a relief valves for that High stats system would be a non serviceable item?

    You need a liquid filled gauge for more accuracy!

    • @lcee6592
      @lcee6592 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A liquid filled gauge is not always inherently more accurate than a standard gauge. The liquid is usually meant to dampen vibrations through the gauge mechanism to help stabilize the needle for more accurate readings of the gauge face and help the gauge survive the vibrations. It can also help reduce moisture corrosion inside as well. Just a little info for all.
