I'd say stay outside of the direct tourist locations. I went to Phuket and got a bit irritated never being able to leave my hotel without being overwhelmed with people putting sunglasses on your face or chasing you down the street trying to get you to buy something.

My husband and I stayed in the second condo for 6 weeks a couple of years ago. The location was excellent and worth paying the extra to stay there. The apartment was small but very modern, bright and clean. Great views too! We absolutely loved our stay there and hope we can go back one day.
Ps. Watching this video has made me feel so nostalgic. 😭😭 can’t wait to go back to Thailand after Covid is over 😢
PPS: my husband and I love your videos!! My husband will message me and say “Chris has a new video out” 😂
I am also Canadian (from Newfoundland but living in Australia).
We love that you take time to help others around Thailand. We have donated some money to your next cause 💕
    Thank you 🙏

Cyan Resorts, Kamala beach I have put a month's deposit to move there for 9/12 months about May/June time. 58sqm brand new, 55" smart tv, hotplate, toaster, kettle, aircon, wifi, double fridge, microwave and balcony. Pool is 16M and garden and pool maintenance all included. Fully furnished and all utensils, just electric on top. It is max 5 minutes walk to beach, supermarket and bars and restaurants! So much bigger than these and in a great area and 12,000B per month, should be reduced once I pay for 9/12 months.

I lived in Chiang Mai back in 1998/99 as a young (Brit) researcher for the Uni there - can't remember the rental cost but what a place, such fond memories. My daily Honda 90 commute was up to the top of Doi Suthep, the mountain overlooking the city, cool and fresh. Wonder how much it has changed.

We have a 3 bedroom House in the Village across the mall from the cheap condo. Its awesome. Very secure, two gates, no such thing as following a car in, once you pass the first gate you gotta stop at the second... The Security guys are awesome too. They will literally check your mail if you want them to... Its been sitting Vacant for 2 years because we went through immigration process in the USA and Covid delayed it. We are all good now, just waiting to be allowed back in. We had the place cleaned after 20 months of nobody inside. We paid a lady 500 Baht and she asked if she could bring another person. Of course we said yeas so 1000 baht to completely clean the house. It cost 2500 baht to trim our trees and do the gardening and believe me it was a lot of work. two truckloads of trimmings... Thailand is awesome

The gyms were similar. Even though the pool in the condo was inside, so no having to worry about the weather, I would have to give the nod to the 1st apartment for around $300/mo. Next to a mall too! Done!

If I was single I would probably live there. You will not be disappointed. Chiang Mai will be our next trip there. I understand it's a little cooler and it's the coffee area.

I spent some tine was in Chang Mai in 1979-80. It was a small town one could walk around or use the bicycle rickshaws. There were no Tuk Tuk's. The towns limits were not far beyond the old walled fortress and moat. Stayed in what was then Mee's guest house on the river across from the foot bridge. I ended up being Mr. Mee's driver for his wedding on a farm out in the rice area just outside of the town

Back to back 2 condos and house tour was really fun to watch . The slight insight you gave us regarding al those nasty you tube commentators was hilarious 😂. Had a good laugh . You sure make it fun experience to even watch these kind of Condo tour videos . Once again t👍to your efforts .

$500 for a smaller condo? Ehhh, yea I get it’s in the most modern neighborhood but nah. The first one seems good but paying extra for electricity, water, and internet makes that one also not as appealing to me personally. I hear there’s a good place next to the college , can’t wait to see that one when I visit Chiang Mai. Chris I love your videos, keep it up.

The second condo would suit me perfectly, although being in Nimman it’s more expensive. I stayed at D’Vieng in Santitham last time. Loved it and was just near Thanin market. I’d love to see a good place that’s decent but a good price near Kalare night bazarre. Think I’d like to try there next time. X x

Well the 2nd unit is far more expensive than it should be. 27sqm? for 500$? no, you can do better than that in Chiang Mai. For 15,000B (500$) you can find 2-bed / 2-bath condos very easily, especially now in Corona times. There are many deals now in Chiang Mai. You can get a condo double the size or more for 15K. This is much too expensive.
