I completely agree that the international community should be speaking up more about the crisis there. It's really sad and I hope and pray that the situation will get better soon and that there will be more peace and agreement between the people and the government. Things can only eventually get better so I hope that it will be soon. It breaks my heart too to see the level of violence and injustice. ❤🙏🏼
I wish we had a better overview of the world than just whatever bits of text and pictures media companies decide to put on their front page. Should be more like Google Earth but with markings on the map showing what's going on.
@@ConvoSpeak It sort of exists already, as the "live UA map" (UA stands for Universal Awareness), but it has the sorry shortcoming of only showing you one specified region at a time, rather than a complete globe. Unless you pay for it, and even then it's still the Mercator projection... I also think its iconography could be vastly improved. You should check it out, there is a map for Colombia. It's only bad (very bad) news, though. If I find myself capable, and I get accepted to university, I might start building something for that purpose. But honestly, with how my attempted projects have gone in the past, I am unlikely to finish anything. Good luck with things in Columbia, though. Everyone deserves a fair government under the peoples' control.

Obviamente la policía no ha respondido de una buena manera a las protestas pero siento que también es importante resaltar el daño que han hecho los protestantes, especialmente los que han seguido protestando después de que cancelaran la reforma tributaria y que el ministro de hacienda renunciara. Ademas del muy evidente vandalismo a CAIs, estaciones de transmilenio, hoteles y otros edificios, han bloqueado vías por todo el país que no han dejado llegar medicamentos, químicos para potabilizar el agua, comida y ni siquiera ambulancia. No estoy diciendo que lo que hizo la policía estuvo bien pero siento que en este momento el problema que está afectando a mucha gente y la manera en la que se esta protestando. Esta bien protestar pero en este momento están afectando al pueblo al protestar de esta manera. I don’t day any of this with the intention to go against you or anything. I just believe that it is part of the problem that isn’t being addressed as it should. Thank you for your video though, I love this channel and am a great supporter!

I'm in Australia. Never heard a thing about this in the media. But when something happens in the US, we will definitely hear about it. I hate to sound condescending, but people here just generally think Latin American countries are always like that, and chaos/corruption/dictatorships/poverty/crime etc are normal there. Of course, it's not all like that, but that's what many people have in their heads.
It is sad but true. It is hard because people have normal lives in continents like Latinamerica, Africa and in the Middle East, but people always normalize conflict there.

Probably the biggest change I would ask for the reformation of the police is to be what it should be to protect the citizens therefore it should be like in other countries where they are an independent institution rather than a branch of a ministry of the government
