third chair in my recommended after all these years, the gods are telling me to pick up melee again (i used to watch your character tech and chaingrab videos back when i didn't have an online alias around 2018-2020, these were always super helpful when polishing my ness and im happy to be seeing your stuff again :) i was actually thinking of picking melee back up and playing around with G&W lol)
switching from Doc/Luigi to G&W is really easy for me, probably because of how similar they feel. Also, I feel like G&W would be a high tier if they just fixed his shield and spot dodge. Great tech guide and incredible video all-around.
@@justj7304 this is the problem and why i think people dont place G&W higher, people overexagerate his flaws and dont talk about his strengths, his l cancel and shield and spotdodge are bad sure, but its not SUPER BAD CANT BE MID TIER WITH THIS SHIT stuff, hes a good character with obvious flaws and less obvious strengths

1:13 Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think bair actually can be auto canceled and still hit but only if it's the FIRST and only first active frame before you hit the ground. Not super practical but kinda neat
Game e Watch melee Is the worst done carachter in the entire Smash history , he can't cancel most of his aerials, his spotdodge leaves him more vulnerable than intangible , his shield doesn't exist, and he has the sane Wall Speed and tratcion and air Speed of Mario, meaning that Is a carachter done at the lady second, likes Ganondorf

i think g&w just needs his L-cancel thing fixed to move up tiers

nair doesn’t really need l cancel, it’s landlag is low enough
