@@urbiznesnunuv6938It didn't even need a sequel, Zelda games work fine as stand-alones. It just doesn't get enough recognition as the best Zelda game, hands down.
Someone actually used this song to their wedding dance. I read about it in a Nintendo Magazine. If this song means that much to two special people, I suppose it is a work of art. A masterpiece (of heart).
The sunset of the 3D trilogy, every game after this never matched the creative spark and genius of Oot mm and wind waker In retrospect, skyward sword came veeery close :3
+TheFreakyKokiri I agree, OoT, MM and WW are my favorites games and i still don't understand people who hate this game. Twilight Princess is so overrated.
+Laurence Hecquet Twilight Princess feels alot like a "HD" Ocarina of Time , both have an more or less adult like , more or less realistic graphics , and many items were similar ( only TP and OOT had Tunics , etc ) still my Favs are : OOT , MC and TP , and after those WW , ALTTP , MM
I'm not crying... You're crying... Wimp... *Lies down *Tries not to cry *Cries a lot. My personal favorite Zelda game ever. Like this game practically shaped my childhood, and the music was nothing short of breathtaking.
I love how this song is a combination of the Earth God's Lyric, the Wind God's Aria, Outset Island, the LOZ theme, and Zelda's Lullabye, and yet it also explodes into its own thing.
This is hands down, the best Zelda game out there, and literally the best video game I have ever played in my whole life. I started playing wind waker when I was about 6 and I've always loved it to this day. (Btw Wind Waker was released the same year I was born!)
I finished this game last night, and I remember crying when this song came on. After so many years of confusion, joy, laughter, and adventure, a part of my childhood had died out. This will forever be my favorite Zelda game of all time. Thank you, Shigeru, for the wonderful childhood.
Wind waker was the first real adventure game I ever played. It made me feel like no other game, like I was part of the game and the adventure. It still is my favourite game of all time.
In my opinion as a person who has played every Zelda game ever made this game is in my top 3! Story was my favorite of any Zelda game. Controls are fantastic as well. So many more great things i could name as well.
I still remember borrowing this from a friend after beaing twilight princess on the Wii. He was even kind of me to lend me a controller after beating Wind Waker I told him "Thank you for letting me enjoy a wonderful adventure"
All I know is it fills me with an immense sense of satisfaction every time I hear it and also that it makes me cry from how beautiful it is and that it marks the end of another legend.
This game made most of my childhood. I can still remember getting the crap scared out of my by those zombies you would find in the earth temple. One of the best game i have ever played. If you have never played it you are missing out. This game aswell as many other zelda games had the greatest soundtracks out of all other games.
No, just because we grow up doesn't mean we have to leave this. Grow up, get a job, raise a family, but there is NO NEED to let go of this! Zelda made many of our childhoods, why should we abandon it? Zelda fan for life, adulthood won't keep me away from something that once (and still does) make me so happy!
I've recently reacquired my Gamecube and Wind Waker. I'm enjoying it ever more so as an adult now, and it was my favorite game growing up. I started on Link to the Past, beat Ocarina with out dying (eventually) and collected all the masked in Majora's Mask. None of those games have the sheer amount of adventure and storytelling like Wind Waker. The music is always making me cry and each island has it's hidden secrets. :) Now, onto the second playthrough and the lobster-suit!!!!
i like to picture a older link, riding along the waves, war-torn with the war against the harsh seas and winds, coming upon a contentent up in the distance when 3:37 starts, smiling, as he realises the goddesses didn't destroy him, they found him a home
Quite possibly the most beautiful video game track I have ever had the pleasuring of listening to in quite possibly one of the best Nintendo video games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. An absolutely breathtaking piece of work.
Indeed. I love the wind waker melody and they combine it with the rest of the games songs so it feels as if your remembering and reliving the awesome adventure all over again. Truly a masterpiece that more people should realize. Plus an amazing game.
What became Twilight Princess started out as a WW sequel but juvenile kids who don't understand what makes a good game demanded a "dark" and "mature" Zelda game so Nintendo decided to make a cliché and boring rehash instead of the game they really wanted to make.
MLennholm seriously? i like twilight princess and find this hard to believe. i hope its not true. but the problem with making a sequel to windwaker is that hyrule and the master sword and mirror shield were all lost ): so they cant really do it. at least in phantom hourglass they had phantom shield which was a smart way to get rid of master sword questioning and whatnot but it sucks that no decent wind waker sequel.
Imar Ben I like TP too. I like all Zelda games, but found TP easily one of the least appealing. It's public knowledge that the game the Zelda team started on after WW had the working title of "Wind Waker 2" and was a sequel to WW and that they changed direction when NoA execs complained that American gamers didn't receive the WW art style well and the game sold below expectations. It's reasonable to assume that many of the ideas for this game ended up in Phantom Hourglass instead. And why couldn't there be a home console sequel to WW without the Master Sword and Mirror Shield?
MLennholm Master sword is like THE ICON of zelda and the shield which usually looks like the mirror shield. if a zelda game came out and i didnt get a master sword i would be dissapointed. honestly i dont think a REAL wind waker sequel would be that great in comparison to the original because ganon is dead. hyrule is gone. these r like 5 key things about the zelda world. all of them gone. i havent played phantom hourglass but i heard its shit. I would have loved a sequel if they could find a way to bring back ganon adn the sword but like i THINK what im trying to say is TP would be better then a crummy single
damn it this brings back memories :) such a great game. when i first played this and i was sailing i always land on every island i see because im very curious what's in there. even if there was few things to do, there will always be something that will pick your interest. every island has their own design and mysteries. my favorite was the one with ghost ship XD man this game is one heck of an adventure, simple yet awesome :D
Hermoso y el tiempos nos ha dado la razon a quienes apoyamos este proyecto y su cambio de diseño y arte. Ya han pasado casi 17 años desde que lo jugué en mi gamecube allá por el año 2003. Solo puedo decir, gracias!!!
Whenever I hear this I always have to tap my foot at the least. I haven't beaten the game yet but I think I will in a few days. I don't want my adventure to the end... 😅
Bana AJ that's exactly how I felt. This was my first Zelda game and definitely one of my favorites. I didn't want the adventure to end, and although I was sad, I felt great almost like I was in the adventure. Truly a work of art
Wind Waker is still my favourite game ever... I could just sit right here and play it all day. I'll probably go through it again when I beat Majora's Mask (my second favourite Zelda game haha)
I was just reading the comments and saw an individual embody the reason Zelda needs to go in a new direction. This person essentially said there can be no good Zelda game without Ganon, some sort of Mirror Shield, and the Master Sword. This person may have gone further than this, but I was getting too annoyed to continue. Zelda doesn't HAVE TO do anything except be an adventure. You could play as a character that wasn't Link at all and it wouldn't make it any less of a Zelda game. Zelda doesn't even have to be a part of the game. They have proven it before and they will continue to do so.
You are totally right. Zelda community is full of these people that will tell you "true zeldas are 2D" "true zeldas need ganon" "true zeldas don't go with Link being a child" and these are not real fans. They didn't get the essence of the licence. People tend to believe they know what a zelda game has to be, but this is a global mistake of many gamers to think they know what everything "should be". But this is always wrong, and it particularly is with this licence, because it is extremely flexible, it can do anyting, that will suit our Link. People have critized Zelda going with masks, then going cartoon, then going on a train, then going on a remote, we will criticize when Link will be gender neutral, or when he'll talk, but the whole video game industry is evolving every day, and so Link will. And even if there are better Zelda games than others, and this is a fact, may it go on sea, on hyrule, on termina, on train or in the sky, I have never ever been deceived by any, from the very first to the skyward. And the ones that claim a definition of zelda games just unallow themselves to play these masterpieces.
Alex Kitchens I agree and disagree with that? I agree because most games that want the player to be the character, try in some way to take something away from the him/her so the player can fill in the blanks with themselves. With Link it's his lack of speech, in Halo it's the lack of knowing what Master Chief actually looks like under the headgear. I Disagree only because I don't believe the Zelda franchise should be restrained by any limitations.
I loved this game so much that I was hoping for Nintendo to release more Zelda games in the same shell shaded style for the GameCube instead of the DS games that we got, when it kicked into Saria's Song I was in tears (a grown man crying!)
you better. but just don't get pissed off at 3 things in the game and quit. Zelda fans you know what im talking about! I now still hate tingle to this day on!
If you listen closely you can hear my heart shattering.
Mine too!!
Sam Strilonde Always tear up on this one
Because this criminally ridiculed ahead of its time game never got a sequel due to petty graphics politics?
The main drum sounds like a heart beat actually. Listen closely.
@@urbiznesnunuv6938It didn't even need a sequel, Zelda games work fine as stand-alones.

A beautiful ending song to a beautiful game. This game is literally art. This is one of my favourite songs of all time.

+TheFreakyKokiri I agree, OoT, MM and WW are my favorites games and i still don't understand people who hate this game. Twilight Princess is so overrated.
+Laurence Hecquet I agree. the only truly noteworthy things from twilight were Midna and, for most of the game, Zant.

They were zelda in its most potent form, and its such a shame twilight came around to screw up what they had going.

I don't think Link should talk. Zelda games are about adventure. The PLAYER'S adventure, not the main character's.

A lack of a speaking protagonist has never been a limitation of Zelda games in my opinion.
Alex Kitchens I'm not saying it is, the limitation is if they feel forced to do it, just because fans feel it is a staple of the series.
ive finish this game so many time just to hear this music haha
Koji Kondo is a fucking genius.
Sore wa watashi ni okotta
This song alone is making me want a WiiU just for the HD Remake of this game
"But that land won't be Hyrule, It will be Your Land"

outstanding game

I like this song
haha never played this game but..
the music sounds awesome!
after researching a bit I'd love to get the game for my old Game Boy Advance. :3
I think this is one of the best Zelda songs. Wonder if the Zelda Goddess Symphony would play it?
If you look up the Zelda 25th anniversary symphonic, it's at the end of the Wind Waker Symphonic Movement.
Wait a minute, that's just the title theme! NINTENDO DID YOU GET LAZY AGAIN?!
My game disc could not be read on the credits. Better than the final boss i guess lol
i freaking luv Zelda :3 ZELDA 4EVAR
Nintendo may make a better game someday. But they’ll never make a game as magical and whimsical as Wind Waked ever again.
Am I the only one who thinks this sounds just the SLIGHTEST bit of Celtic music?!
Remlit Milo yeah, actually, the composers themselves even said that they drew a lot of inspiration for the music from Celtic music
Im am factually like number 1000🎉
Kinda Irish sounding!
Irish is Celtic.
