the slow down just to punt you (and others) a few more times is what should get him banned, wow, knew this guy was horrendous, but that was worse than expected.
If I see KIMI-VELOCINI, no matter what, I'm gonna give him a massive punt and I know it's not right to deal with dirty drivers but somebody has to teach this guy some manners and know what it's like to be on the receiving end.
It seems like the best strategy I've seen so far is just cruise behind him, let the pack catch up and someone else try to pass him, and then when KIMI-THE-SIMP is distracted take off around the distraction and hopefully get far enough away that KIMI doesn't become a problem.

@bluracer7 I believe Kimi V gets a kick out of fighting with others in the game. They pull this nonsense because they enjoy the fight, the sheer stupidity of it. I don’t know what the community can do, obviously fighting back just seems to encourage this fool and hanging back and not fighting at all seems to make them want to push you even more. A completely toxic person. I remember a line from one of the Batman movies (yeah, not exactly Hemingway or Poe) “some people just like to watch the world burn” and it seems fitting for Kimi V.

He has got to be the dirtiest driver in Gt Sport, had him for the week of Bathurst for daily race B and it was the same nonsense, what I find baffling is he waited for you after pushing you off track the first time. The problem is not the dirty drivers like him or many others who are almost quite as dirty as Kimi.
The problem is the not existing "penalty system"!
With a working penalty system guys like him would be driving in D-lobbys amongst all the other dirty drivers.
PD has to change this in GT7 unless it will not be successful at all. The fair and competitive drivers will all quit if it stays like now.
Why do you think D lobbies have dirty drivers? The D lobbies have many clean drivers as well. All lobbies have dirty drivers, it is nothing to do with skillset at all.

Sorry. It was not my intention to say that in D-lobbys are more dirty drivers than anywhere else.
My intention was, that the dirty drivers would get DR-resets every time when they punt other drivers off. The result would be, that these drivers would find themselves down in the lower lobbys. But without a working penalty system, these drivers can punt off anyone without getting penalties and SR-downs. So they can stay in the higher lobbys. Right now this is a kind of reward for driving dirty and unfair. And this has to be changed.
Yeah the only problem I have or had with GT sport was that it’s so easy to regain SR

You can only blame Polyphony for allowing this to happen in the first place.Descent penalty sytem in place would stop all this from happening but they obviously dont have the answers.
They HAD a decent penalty system in place. It wasn't perfect but it was decent. But....too many of the big name GT Sport content creators moaned and whined about the system so Polyphony finally just gave up and turned it off completely.

I think GTSport players should start mass reporting him. If he gets enough reports Polyphony will have no choice but to ban him.
Just need the right person to report him, someone with connections at PD. Its happened before with others. However once their first accout gets blocked they just make another....i.e. luisdinisio and chalkymattress come to mind.... 😒
It took over 3 years for them to do anything about Luisdinisio. Trust me...Polyphony cares very little about clean racing in spite of them trying to show otherwise.
He is probably just a 7yr old kid who knows no better. Gt sport is full of these drivers. Gt7 needs a proper damage model that punishes any car contact. Otherwise these incidents will go on forever.

GT7 needs a better penalty system, and DR / SR needs to be better applied and more forgiving to drivers that didnt make the mistakes, also They need to implement a system to contest race results if this kind of racing happens (I think iRacing does this dont quote me) and I think looks back on how GTA Online deals with cheaters putting them in a separate lobby, the Same should be applied here instead of bans you get put in a Lobby with only people who were also toxic for a set amount of races or time. Also just had an idea GT should implement a Super License feature for Online so everytime you did something that isnt very sportmanship you would get a point just like in Formula 1 etc, like 12 points equals a race ban or/& set time in a cooldown lobby.
Yes! They have got to have a way to penalize rammers because ive been shoved off several times and not only do they give me a penalty they gave the rammer little or none at all in most cases and when viewed in a replay you can tell if it's intentional or just a case of over cooking a corner or late braking

That driver does need to be banned from the game. They were going like mad to catch up once you took the lead, they were able to catch up. That means they have the skill to be a decent driver. Then they decided to punt you off not once, but twice. They booted you, then slowed way down to wait up for you to come back and booted you a second time. If your SR took any beating at all from this race, I would send the replay footage to the developer (or whoever is responsible for keeping track of the ratings) and ask to have your SR fixed and this absolute jerk permabanned. You did nothing wrong besides try to drive a clean and competitive race. Kimi Velocini has been doing this mess all over the place. They are a regular on JR Devon’s idiots of the week. Time for them to go.

This sort of thing hadn't used to happen, so some "drivers" are just using the lack of a penalty system to do what they like.

I know KIMI is a toxic/bad driver but what about that "montessami" at the beginning? That driver had their car all over the track and was threatening to punt if Rory passed, until they messed up and left the door open. If they would do it to Rory then they would do it to any other driver.

I once got rammed by a Sonuva biatch like that and I was about to spin then I managed to spin right into him as a revenge but I got ghosted because the game thought I lost control and I just passed right THROUGH him!!! And he went off winning. How INFURIATING that is!!!!
Good content but let’s be honest here, when you do not have a damage model or penalty system the temptation will lead to an inevitable outcome. Unfortunately, GTS attracts drivers of this nature so it’s part of the deal when playing this arcade racer. If you want an immersive experience with amazing physics, realistic race weekends then play ACC within a community league where these type of drivers will not even have a chance of turning a wheel. If not, then except GTS for what it is.

If you walk near a mean dog without your defense up and get bit... your fault. I'm seriously more peeved with the "oh someone needs to do something" sad sack speech.... he opens the door the being shadow realmed, push him thru it, have a jolly race after. I'm an A+/S with out grinding, and trust me, when a driver shows me they gonna douche it.. it's time to roll em in the grass on a sweeper. 1 purposeful contact > 20 contacts on defense and dives....

There is more money in it as an arcade racer. There are much better platforms if you are a more serious sim racer. Most of which unfortunately are on PC.

well, it said you had a clean race, so i'm sure your SR was good. all you can do is be patient and let someone like that destroy their SR and be dropped to lower lobbies while you stay clean and move up. even if you loose, a lower SR from retaliating will drop you to lower lobbies faster than a slightly lower DR. keep up the good driving and good luck clawing back to the top!
Problem with the system in gts is that people (even really quick drivers) can purposefully tank their SR to get put in lower lobbies. Then they just club the baby seals to boost their DR. Eventually, he's back in the A+ lobbies where they can't win so rinse and repeat. Fuck these guys.
I had a few encounters with his apprentices yesterday and my sr took a real tanking. Struggled all evening to try and regain it. I absolutely hate people punting and beeing deliberate about it. What bothers me just as much is that I let them get to me and I get absolutely livid to the point of having a complete meltdown lol
What itches my shit is when you try give it them back but still come worse off! Its like this goon has become a master at evading take outs and a master at taking people out. He needs to be banned and its that simple!

Never put yourself in those positions around drivers like Kimi. Always stay on the inside of corners if you have to be side by side with them.

I've raced this guy quite a few times, even when the penalties were on. I was pole at fuji and he was 2nd. He waited till the end of the 1st lap on the straight and I was letting him over take , and as he did he just swiped the side of my car. Completely spun round so many times. Even if he gets a penalty my race is over. I raced him other times where I've seen his antics starting and I've taken him out for the team. The guy needs banning, along with Luis denisio and any of the other toxic idiots

I tend to do good in races with occasional mistakes here and there. Someone will screw up my race and then call me a pos for it. I'm like dude I had a clean race star. Or I know my racing lines, braking points and leave room where needed...get spun out or get a penalty for track limit. It's quite frustrating sometimes

When I first started with GT Sport. That happened just about every race. Left there and went to Project Cars 2. Yep same thing. I'm in Iracing now and in the lower licenses and bottom tiers, happens all the time. Unfortunately, I'm not fast enough to compete with the gentlemen drivers. Instead, I'm always stuck with the knuckleheads. I just go for lap time PRs now. I've pretty much given up with real head to head racing. Your situation is nothing new.

This guy is the reason i stopped playing gt sport about a year ago. At the time, i thought driving standards couldnt get any worse after several run ins with momos cost me good results, then i met this... pushes a guy off on the first lap, giving me the lead, catches me up quick so decide let him past for a 2nd result & he just slows down & takes me out, I hadnt made contact with him or anything. The thing that finally got me was he continued targeting me when we got drawn together in my next race. First time i quit a race & i was done
& that was at interlagos too now i think about it
So I had this kind of trouble even when I had GT on ps3. Been with gt since the original, and as a car collecting game and single player experience it's great. I was looking for a fresh start with gt7 having 'messed about' with sport.
I was genuinely looking at purchasing a fanatech setup for GT7. Having seen the toxicity still present and cheating at the highest level, its been enough to not bother. So this kind of thing DOES affect sales of the game.
I will purchase a basic wheel that is responsive enough for single player experiance. I do not pay thousands for that kind of frustration.
I feel for you, but that is why I stopped multiplayer years ago. Unless sony and polophony, if they want to be take seriously, regulate this sport, multiplayer will be dead in the water within 3 months.. They clearly built this for esports etc, and want to sell really high end gear to customers.
They have still not fixed this issue since they went online with it all those years ago. And...they dont care, they want to sell all the units and kit, but not regulate it.

Why on earth would you try to re overtake him on the last lap as soon as you caught him?
To get past him, you must set him up with a dummy and faint a move and switch back were he can't swipe you.
The worst part about the whole thing is that he's honestly a really good driver. He was catching up to you, set a good fast lap, and if he put those kind of skills to proper use, he'd be racing really well. But nah, he chooses to kill his momentum by repeatedly slamming into other drivers to the point that he literally slows down just to get a few more good whacks in, and ends up almost not even getting podium.
Banning him would be a mercy not only to the GT community, but to himself as well.

The lack of penalties for drivers like this is why I no longer race GTS. I seriously doubt GT7 will be any better, PD never really got the penalty algorithm right at any time in GTS, why would 7 be any different.
They never got it completely right. But it wasn't terrible when I started playing. But then....whining and moaning ensued from players who are supposedly some of the very best so Polyphony started tinkering with the system. That only messed up what was there and the whining got louder. SO they tried to fix it again....more whining MUCH louder. Finally Polyphony just said screw it and turned it all off. Now we have GT Forza.
I am amazed how calm you were when Kiki hit you twice. Anyway, I don’t understand how these acts have no penalty for the GTS daily race.
They also have the P1_Kimi, just as dirty. This is nothing compared to what I’ve dealt with the past 2 weeks. I just don’t understand how someone else driving like this makes my SR go down. These are the problems that I hope get sorted out before GT7.

There are several guys just like KIMI. Luisdinisio...he got banned and just immediately made a nice shiny new account to continue his bullshit. MadKnightMopar....BS Rodeo...the list of dirty drivers goes on and on. One guy in one of JSR_Devon's videos has gotten reset 50+ times. SO it doesn't matter what the players want. As long as Polyphony can count that dirty driver as a daily player, they simply don't care.
I'm not entirely sure if I am looking forward to GT7 or not because of garbage like this. Of course, it didn't help that when there WAS a penalty system, so many of the big names on TH-cam were whining and complaining about it that Polyphony finally gave up and turned it off completely. That lead us directly to what we see in your video and pretty much every single day on Gran Turismo Sport. Guys who should be nowhere NEAR an A in DR rating wind up getting there and killing the experience simply because there is no consequences involved if they don't drive a clean race.
That's why I don't like multiplayer racing. To many kids that aren't there to race fair or care to race at all.

He does it because he can do it. He's fast, but appears to be doing it out of boredom or because he enjoys it. The real culprits are PDs because they failed to recognize such behavior and punish it appropriately. It's like football. If the referee is weak and everything goes, don't be surprised if the match turns into a mass brawl.

When it comes to online, I've only ever played GT Sport. Otherwise I've played the recent F1 games offline. Do other online platforms like ACC, RF2, and iRacing have proper penalty systems?? I'm just wondering how a player like that can go up to such high DR-SR ranks!
Acc has a license, all the online servers have a safety rating, and you need a high safety rank to race on the official competition servers, its by no means perfect but in higher ranked servers you wont come across people as bad as this clown. This is on pc mind, no idea about console
All they need to do is add a capture replay and report system then they can go in and ban these types of drivers for online races.
I used to play gt5 gt6 and gt sport but found online lobby’s getting worst and worst and even the group of guys I raced with started to get hyper aggressive and I chucked it in bought F1 19 ... and have never gone back online all I do now is my offline championships... online is toxic ... no more gentlemen sport behaviour.... I was hoping that with gt7 I’ll dip the toes in and try but after this video I’m like ok I’ll still buy it but I think I’ll just do timetrials and compete against my ghost

I really hope Polyphony have some sort of contact penalty system in place for GT7. This kind of behaviour can't go on, the contact penalty system we had about a year ago was miles better than what we've now. Keep fighting the good fight Rory, TH-camrs need to keep shaming dirty drivers.
As bad as Footballers trying to influence the Ref to get the opposition carded. It's up to the community to police crazies, not the weak willed crying to the devs. Get a posse together, make other accounts and go hunting until he behaves. I've been playing driving games for 30 years, not one of the games over the years has been able to implement a decent penalty system. It's not real life, it's a game, there is no life and death jeopardy caused by idiot driving, they won't stop, some people are just sociopathic. Figure it out and game it.

The reason they've scrapped the penalty system for collisions is clearly to piss people off enough that they'll buy GT7 on day one in the hope that it's better.
What gets me about him is that he's got to be a REALLY GOOD DRIVER!!! He couldn't catch the the leaders if he wasn't. He just likes/loves to fuck with people...lol The only issue I REALLY have with GT7 is the penalty system. I've been knocked out of a few races and the person gets 1 or 2 second penalty. Meanwhile, it takes me 5 or 6 seconds to get going again and that's from a dead stop.

I don't get why people like him play racing games/simulators. If you get absolutely butt hurt every time someone passes you or is about to pass you that you get SO mad you ruin everyone else's race. You need to just play something else, what a low life!

Maybe it's a bot. Maybe the AI guys needed to study dirty driver behavior to build a better penalty system. So they wrote this bot that encapsulates all the bad behavior into one PERFECT TOOL. Let's hope that's the case. Otherwise, it seems he's not content to win, he just wants to totally spoil the race of as many people he comes across. The most toxic entity in the gaming universe.

In order to ACTUALLY get a penalty there needs to be an ACTIVE system in place to issue such rewards 🙄

He isn't getting penalized because there is not active system. Polyphony got tired of all the whining and moaning from the (supposedly) top drivers (funny how they are supposedly the best of us but can't seem to figure out how to adapt to race conditions) so they just said screw it and turned the penalties off altogether. Now....we might as well go play Forza since the experience is pretty much the same.
@@SimRacingKnightmare I don’t get how hard it can be to create a penalty system that works (although I thought it was fine the way it was). just make it so you get a penalty if you hit someone and they go off track unless you were hit in the previous few tenths, also could prob figure it out based on the angle of the collision too
@@fatbroccoli8 intent is the one thing an algorithm cannot judge. If I bump someone it's rarely intentional. But the algorithm doesn't know that. When I started playing (around 3 years ago) the system was flawed, but still serviceable. But so many popular personalities started complaining that they couldn't race the way THEY wanted to that Polyphony tried to tweak the system to suit them. That just screwed the whole thing up and Polyphony hasn't been able to get back to what it was when I started. The more they tried to fix it, the more whining the supposed "best drivers" did. It finally got to the point that Polyphony gave up so now, here we are playing GT Forza.
