    My doctor called me that my lap will be in less than 2 weeks. I started to become anxious until I got onto your video confirming the one I watched prior. So helpful! I'm staying at the hospital 2 nights pre op. It's crazy. I'm still anxious but at least I'll be ready. Thanks sis!

    I’m having my 5th surgery and honestly I think I was never really prepared!! Having mine on Thursday and i don’t know why I’m nervous, but this helped calm my nerves and help me focus on what I need to pack, as opposed to freaking out

    PS. I have a video coming up on what to expect after surgery + post op tips where I go into what it was like for me afterwards and what was most helpful for recovery over there! 💚 But I pretty much used everything I mentioned in this video minus the Miralax.
    I actually think Colace or Dulcolax is a gentler stool softener option instead, so I hope that helps as you're preparing for your laparoscopy!

      I flew from canada to texas for a hysterectomy. I had lots of issues. Saved my ovaries so no menapause. I feel so much better. Hope you do. Blessings ❤

      You're going to do SO great!!! 💚 Try to distract yourself & lookup @SarahJacksonPanther on instagram to practice some body work exercises if you feel too nervous. She has some great stuff on calming the nervous system down.

      SO glad you get to stay longer! Having that pain and nausea management is HUGE and makes such a difference! I hate that they kick you out day of in the states. There’s no way I could’ve done it, so I’m glad my doctor gave me the option to stay. Sending so many healing prayers!!! Hope it went well! 💚

    It really baffles me how unfamiliar Americans are with hot water bottles. They're a surprisingly big part of British life ☕️ Anyway hope you're all recovered and feeling well! Got my lap tomorrow!

      YESSS I was born in England and we no longer had the ones I grew up with (Moved to the US in 99) and when I would go to Target or a few other places they looked at me like I grew three heads. I had to order them online.

    Omg I love you're videos pleaase keep posting more frequently, I wanted to know you're about weight lifting (I saw you're video about the vegan protein powder and I will be buying it, but I have a question for you, do you think it's possible to gain weight and weight lifting while having gastritis? I use L-glutmine and licorice and digestive anzymes, and I'm feeling pretty good (I was diagnosed a month ago with mild chronic gastritis), so what do u think

    • @stephwittek
      @stephwittek  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Hala! If you're feeling better, I don't see why not. I'm not a doctor or dietitian though, so I can't really speak to this and would recommend either working with someone like a personal trainer, doctor, or nutritionist to safely do this (especially if you struggle with a lower weight) or very carefully and slowly make the transition to weight lifting!

    • @halahoushan2212
      @halahoushan2212 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for replying! I did weight lifting for 1 year before getting gastritis, I think it's the coffee and too much dairy products, and trying so hard to gain weight to build mascels, u will do it differently this time, I really appreciate your content thank you so much it's helping us tremendously

  • @krazytrex
    @krazytrex 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I hope it goes well. I have a question did your menstrual cycle make your gastritis worse and if it did once it was done did the gastritis light up? I have gastritis and my menstrual cycle is coming and I was feeling better but now I am back to hurting.

    • @stephwittek
      @stephwittek  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ugh, I'm so sorry! That's actually kind of how we found out about endometriosis. My gastritis flare put me in the ER and we found some fluid in my pelvis in the CT scan as well as just crap digestion with a new cycle after I would start to improve.
      Endometriosis means each month you have recurring inflammation in your body over and over again. So, if you're not getting better, that can definitely be a big part of the puzzle. I'm already noticing 3 weeks post op that I'm eating more than I have in 6 months and have more energy. It's definitely something worth exploring!
