I agree with you 100%. It's always a good idea to have a good starting place for your maintenance schedule, and the only way to know for sure is to do it yourself right away. I gotta say, whoever the engineer who came up with that oddball seat strap idea never did any maintenance themselves. That is just weird!
Congrats on the new purchase. FYI- That factory blue coolant is really high quality stuff. Long life, much more so than anything off the shelf at a typical automotive retailer. Same as Honda OE coolant.
Thanks man. I've run Preston in my truck which has 510k on it and no issues with build up. If you look at the repair books they both say to get antifreeze that is safe for aluminum radiators which Preston is.
Everyone should learn to take care of their bikes
@@nancyweems5270 I agree with you. One reason I like doing these types of videos is to help out people.
With the prices that dealerships are charging for maintenance, everyone needs to learn to service their own bikes. 😎👍
@@northbysoutheast5439 I agree with you... Save $100s over a few years.

@@tommylitchfield3450 exactly. I have gone behind too many before that didn't. Yea who knows what the deal was with the strap

Great video friend. I really like that bike. I was surprised about the oil being in the frame…pretty cool. Very informative and well done.
Tommy
@@TommyWasHere thank you Tommy. I was just as surprised about the oil tank as well.
Atleast the basics
@@nancyweems5270 exactly.. with a few basic tools, everyone can at least change their own oil and filter
