    You know that old saying "Death by a Thousand Cuts" I think that is what happening to Ukraine. Russia, just needs to go slow and steady and keep the pressure all along the front as this is stressing Ukraine's logistics, and I don't know how they are going to be able to function if Russia opens another front.

    You are focused on the amount of territory that Russia has "captured." You need to focus on the number of Ukrainian casualties. Ukraine has lost more territory to military cemeteries than Russian attack.

    • @HNH421
      @HNH421 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Scott Ritter said it is 40 to one in Russia's faver
      so even if we were to, believe the Russian casualty numbers, put out by Ukraine, which are 492290
      we get
      492290 x 40 to 1 =19,691,600
      if we round up we get
      20.000,000 Ukrainian casualties
      but Ukraine are over estimating by 40 to one
      we get
      492290 ÷ 40 = 12,307
      so the current casualty ratio is
      Twelve thousand Vs Twenty Million in Russia's faver

    • @agamemnonofmycenae5258
      @agamemnonofmycenae5258 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      @nathanduncan6919 yeah, manpower disadvantage is by no means that high. Ukraine must be at 1.3-2 - 1 disadvantage. Due to tactical and strategical limitations(they have essentially a no step back policy) they are too spread out, so Russians can initiate attacks at various fronts with a significant numerical advantage. Maybe that's what can be inferred to as 40-1, but even with that justification it's still stretching it.
      In my opinion, it's a minor manpower advantage and double force efficiency due to artillery/air superiority. That makes Russians have a 'figurative' 3-4 - 1 advantage, which explains why the offensive is successful.

    If Belousov is a Keynesian, that's not good. Keynesians believe that any government money is good as it "stimulates the economy," never mentioning that the money is taken through taxes from the economy's natural flow and adaptive process. Or they get the money from loans or just money printing, which is even worse, creating inflation and debt. But as Keynesian Paul Krugman at the NYT says, "There's no such thing as too much debt in a depression!" (Tell that to Greece.)
    HOWEVER, do we really know this is what Belousov is like? Maybe he just believes in govt control of oil for example, just like they have in Libya, Saudi Arabia and so on. Anyhow, he's not the economy minister. He's not even in charge of deciding military budget. The main economic goal in the military now is to DECREASE costs which have increased significantly from last year and onward. The main goal will be to find mismanagement and waste.

    • @Rb39-ej5hh
      @Rb39-ej5hh 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      That's not what Keynesian economists think. Government money that is invested in the long-term productive potential of the economy is what stimulates the economy and crowds-in private investment. In a depression it is vital that the government spends to stabalise the economy, although this has to be paired with responsible borrowing in good times (which Greece didn't do). Moreover, Greece was in a uniquely bad position, because they couldn't print money or do QE as they were in the Eurogroup and they had austerity forced on them, which was disastrous for their economic recovery, which they needed to pay back their debt.

      A segunda parte de seu comentário está perfeita. Ele tem como objetivo fazer uma auditoria nas contas do exército russo, moralizar e otimizar o uso dos recursos financeiro, materiais, humanos e tempo, ou seja aumentar a eficiência. Tudo isso considerando que, ao contrário do que se esperava, a OTAN (EUA) dobrou a aposta, ao aprovar mais pacotes de ajuda a Ucrânia.
