- It's been a while since I've created some neurographic art and this week, I feel called to use this process to pay hommage to my favorite element, water. And since water is my muse, it seems fitting to create this little painting using mostly watercolors. I hope you'll feel called to pick up your paint brushes and get painting with me.

- For this painting, I cut my sheet of paper to 8 x 8 inches.

Loving the water theme and your words paint as beautiful a picture as your brushes my mermaid sister! 🧜♀️🧜♀️ I think the first layers with salt set the scene so invitingly and the whole painting has a peaceful quality.
We are hoping that the waters are calmed in the Caribbean as our son is working in the Caymans and Beryl is approaching right now.

Oh how I love your painting this week! I am definitely a fan of the blues. 💙🩵💦 I think one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in person, is the ocean! 🌊🪸 All of the different colors of blues and turquoise is so mesmerizing and peaceful to me! It's really kind of amazing that the water itself, is clear! 🤷♀️ As I was pondering your thoughts about water, I was thinking about how we literally could not live without it, and how much our bodies are made up of water! Once I started drinking it on a regular basis, my body started craving it more, which is one good habit I have! 😉 😂 We are so blessed to be able to turn on a faucet, have a drink, take a shower, brush our teeth, paint, etc. without really giving it much of a thought! I know it's not like that everywhere in the world.
The painting this week, is definitely one of my favorites. I appreciate how you share your inspiration with us; I've learned so much from you! Thank you again my friend, for always sharing your talents with us. Sending love, hugs, and prayers that you are feeling better! ❤🤗🙏
All so true!! Water is life giving and without it we could not be! Like you say, so much of what we do in our western society is dependent on water and, sadly, we often take it for granted. It is my favorite beverage and definitely the one thing I consume that I know without a doubt is healthy for me. 💕 I am thankful we can make time to pause together as a community to appreciate this resource because you are absolutely right, what we consider a right is all but a privilege for too many people in our world. Inspiring and relaxing. As a Piscean I have always been drawn to water in all its forms, ocean, rivers, waterfalls and mountain streams are my favourite places to photograph as well.

I am a Nova Scotian "girl" transplanted to BC. I love the ocean and and grateful that I am a few minutes away from dipping my toes into the Pacific. And, when I get to go back to NS - I always manage to get to my beloved Atlantic ocean. They are very different oceans, just as each painiting/neurographic is different and beautiful!

yr a closet poet...or philosopher...at one point we are so caught up in watery soliloquy as to wonder if yr reading or truly in the flow...listened 3 times...quite amazing...my little nuerographic result delivered welcome rounding to soften these too sharp edges within...ty...

LOVED the salt reaction on this one!! Your lines and how they just flow into each other remind me a lot of some Inuit art I have admired. Question - why use gesso over guache? asking for a friend...lol This whole process was very peaceful to watch and to listen to your words of wisdome....thank you...
Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️☺️ I’m a great admirer of native art as well so it may be influencing my creativity. About the gesso over gouache, I think it’s mainly a question of preference for me. And, when I use gouache over highly pigmented colors, sometimes I find my whites don’t stay as white as I’d like them to stay. I’m so glad you enjoyed this process and I appreciate your presence here with me 💕🤗
