- Save money by change ur self. dealerships was charging me 450 dollars 💵 with labor and part and pep boys was charging me 250 and the parts
Only part only cost me 86 dollars and take like 10 minutes to install.
2012 Veloster - manual transmission, ~90k miles. Was dying randomly at stop lights, occasionally missing while driving, and would be hard to restart (~5-10 seconds of cranking) and would not have tach when it restarted. Replaced mine this past weekend and haven't had in issue since.
FYI: Replacement part is less that $20 at Rock Auto, ships quickly. For the far end of the wiring harness where it clips in, that connector is held onto the bracket with a little spring detent. You can reach down from the top of the engine bay with a small pair of needlenose pliers, push the clip, and it'll slide right off. If you're having trouble getting that lower clip out of the bracket (the one he pries out with a screwdriver after a decent fight) you can just cut it off with a pair of side cutters. Clip it on the far side of the bracket and if you get one of the "wings" all the way off, the rest of it will slide right back out easily.

This is a lifesaver I took my 13 Veloster to hyundai dealer due to the same problems they told me it was the sensor and want to charge me 358 bucks to change it. Uffff eff that.
soulofhandball dealers are thieves dealerships are stealership they will try to take as much money as money possible most of their technicians don’t even do proper job to get car done fix
make sure to reset the codes with a 0BD2 READER FROM your local autozone may let you borrow 1 if you're still having issues with rough idle after

Please remember that if you had the P0335 code and you replace the sensor and your car still runs crappy,let it idle for about 15 minutes,it may need to relearn the correct timing.
Car runs ok but oil still burn but it okay cuz I’ll keep adding more oil .
Car is now at 120k and running good
Replaced my Crankshaft Position Sensor yesterday and the car is worse than ever before. It was at least somewhat driveable, albeit dangerous before. Now it won't even go 500 feet without losing the gears. Never stalls though.
How many miles ? U have ? Automatic or stick ?
My Clutch is starting to give up on me
@@andymartinez1426 It was the aftermarket part I used. Took it to the Hyundai Dealer, they fixed some recall issues and then put a genuine Hyundai part in and so far (only driven it 30 miles as of today) it's like a brand new car.

I got p0300. Rough idling. Took to dealer for recall and they are guessing the misfire problem. I can do that. I changed plugs and coils. Could it be cam sensor or coil harness?

I have not had the dying on the road issue. However, when warmed up, it sometimes takes several attemptes to get her to engage in drive or reverse. Could this e a sensor issue?

Mine was having a hard time to start and staying running . So I change my crankshaft sensor. After that everything runs smooth

May I ask what was your symptoms??? I had a p0335 code pop up and it starts a little crappy for a sec and would turn off randomly. It would take 5 secs cranking then eventually turn on

@ 4:53 how did you finally get the wire free? Mine seems to be stuck still and I can't find out how to free it, already did the step just before too with the flathead screwdriver to pop the clip holding the wire off.

I have a 2012 hyundai accent with the same engine and oddly enough about 71,000 miles. Tried to change the sensor but It is not going in all the way. How hard did you end up pushing to get that sensor to snap in?
