    This diet is actually safe. You're not starving unless you're used to eat in big portions because this one makes you eat just a certain amount of food, but if not, then you won't be starving. You're eating a lot of protein and food that actually help burning fat, not just lose water as other diets, but working out a bit during the military diet can give you good results. I tried this diet twice, and it helped me control my anxiety of eating almost all the time and not drinking enough water, since it's a must to drink 2lts if water during this diet. It's been a year and something, and I haven't gained the weight back, instead and as I said, I drink more water now, I can control the portions I eat. It really helps somehow, especially if you're diligent enough to follow it as told. Btw this is important and i think she didn't mention it but, this diet lasts for a week: 3 days that are shown in the video, and the other 4 days must be controlled on what you eat. Since you're coming out of a diet like this, you can't go straight and eat yourself a whole pizza. The effort would have meant nothing. On those 4 days you have to slowly start eating healthier things but avoid eating fast food, too much carbs and stuff. After that week you're supposed to have no problem in being able to control your portions a little more.

      Salsabeel Mohsen Aly There is actually a web page that has the best substitutes for the military diet. You can look it up as "substitutes for military diet" it's a web page similar to the one that has the original diet plan. And about growing, I guess it depends. You're still growing up so if you're going to try this diet at least once, I doubt it'll affect you since it's only for a week and if it helps you controlling other things then it's fine, but if you wanna diet for a longer time then I recommend you to look for a nutritionist that can help you with it. There are tons of things we have to consume to grow and stuff, but this diet is mostly about proteins and things that can help you burn fat faster, it's not a complete diet and that's why it has a determined period of time to be done.

    People saying this is too much food must be insane. The calories here look easily under 1000 which is low. Recommended for women is no lower than 1200. I don’t understand how people think this is too much...I just don’t get it. That encourages eating disorders. This is nearly so little food she is lucky she isn’t faint.

    I did this diet and looked great. Did the second round and after.a Few days got sick enough to require the emergency room. Severe constipation and blockage. Spent the whole diet starving and gained every last pound back. I do not recommend

    To be honest, with exercise included, this eating style is pretty ideal in my opinion, and can be easily switched up as long as the key food ingredients are still incorporated or substituted. I think this is a good life style switch, not diet.

    I tried this diet and just gonna say i did not survived the menu 😂 i changed some of the menu and i still loose weight so here’s what i ate :
    Day 1
    Breakfast
    Bread , milk , peanut butter jam , 1 banana
    Lunch
    Grilled salmon (little oil) , banana , bread , peanut butter jam , milk
    Dinner
    Grilled tuna (also little oil) , low fat milk boiled with plain brocolli and corn
    For snacks i usually eat either 2 saltine crackers , vanilla ice cream , and kitkat
    Choose only 1
    And i always do skipping everyday min 600 jumps in 30 minutes and some light exercises like 20 push ups and 1 minute plank
    In 5 days i lost 4 kg , i don’t know if this will work for you but i worked perfectly on me coz usually i eat rice every day and now i don’t 😂
    Update 30 september 2018:
    Normal weight = 62 kg
    Now= 48 kg
    Breakfast(04:00-08:00)
    Oatmeal 3 tbsp
    2 tsp almond butter
    1 tsp honey
    1 cheddar cheese
    Lunch (11:00-13:00)
    Anything (besides deep fried, flour fried , too oily dishes , too sweet or salty dishes)
    Dinner (16:00-18:00)
    Normal yogurt/crepes/boiled carrots and corn with boiled/grilled chicken breast
    No rice !! I swap noodles for vermicelli noodles (25gr/portion)
    No deep fried food (grilled is allowed but not too oily
    Balance your carbs , fats , and protein
    On breakfast thats carbs, on lunch it’s protein (meat) and fiber (veggies), dinner is just like a snack too fill up some fats
    Exercise
    10-30 minute of hola hoop
    300-600 jumps of skipping
    30 jumping jacks
    Please note that if you’re eating salad with DRESSINGS , DRESSINGS have more calories than the salad it self so try swapping it with some healthier dressings such as olive oil, honey

    I’ve done this diet for months now. I do the 3 day military diet once a week then the 4 days off I do the 1500 calorie diet which is on the military diet site aswell. It does get way easier after a while, the first week was crap and after that you get so used to the food you’re eating every week it’s great. I’ve lost nearly 15kilos in 3 months and still maintaining it every week from the 4 days off. Trust me it’s worth a shot it’s really not as hard as you think especially if you work full time gets your mind of it. And when I get to my goal weight I’m just gonna eat healthy in the week and have the weekends off I’ve done it before I hardly put anything on.

    Hey guys Im trying this out! Hopefully I lose upto 5 kgs but my main goal is 3.I also did some modifications so its based on the diet, buut its like a different version
    Starting weight 73.2
    Day1: For breakfast I had one mini bread with Peanut Butter (that was in equal calories to the original) and half of an apple (because I couldn’t find any grapefruit) and the other half was rotten.. Total count - I think it was about 280 cal?
    For lunch I had 25grams of Tuna with brown pasta instead of bread - Calorie count was 190
    For dinner i had one cup of green beans and 3 ounces of meat, i felt full so i skipped the fruits and later on had lemon icecream (which suprisingly had less sugar and was less calories than the vanilla one i had)
    Dinner calorie count; 159 + 137 cal with desert so total calorie intake For the day (its approximately this) was
    I’ll weigh myself in the morning and will write what i had tomorrow!
    Hi again I completely forgot about this comment but the result was 1 kg down

    I tried this diet 3 times, the 1st time I lost around 2kg, the 2nd time it was not even 1kg and the 3rd time I lost nothing. I also felt very weak during those 3 days.

    For everyone saying it’s just water weight, guys any diet you start or weight you lose will necessarily mostly be water the first week but if you stick with it after the first week it’ll be fat you’re burning

    Everybody is different I've lost six pounds in two days when I was sick last week some people can only loose 5 pounds in 2 weeks everyone's body works different so to everyone saying it was impossible for her to loose that much weight take into fact, metabolism, activity, protein, and athletic build. What is average for you is not average for some one else I don't want any backlash I just want to be heard

    I strongly suggest getting a scale that measures your entire body composition, body fat percentage, lean muscle mass, bone mass and water. You will only see real progress in these numbers, because if you focus on the number on the scale, rather than your fat going down, your muscle going up, and your body being properly hydrated, then you will go on an endless cycle of yo-yo diets that could have lasting effects on your metabolism. We should also be checking our hormone levels and thyroid levels as they play a huge role in weight gain or loss as well. Just giving some advice here, no shade at all, and i hope you eventually reach a weight you are content with.

    I tried this diet and lost 4 pounds! It’s actually not another enough of those weird diets that don’t actually work, I recommend trying it. You’re eating less food so you’re in what’s known as a calorie deficit, so your body has to burn energy which makes you lose weight but the problem with that is your body doesn’t know whether to burn fat or muscle so it could be burning you muscle and not fat. This is where the types of foods you’re eating come in. The foods are all high in protein which feeds muscle, so you’re feeding the muscle and starving the fat so your body will burn the fat instead. This will leave you with a toned and slim physique. On the other end of the scale eating carbs and junk foods feed fats and starves muscle so when your dieting remember to not eat sugary foods. Water helps you lose weight too and the walks build up your muscle and also burn calories.

    ...eating too little doesn't help you lose weight
    So just copying something like this isn't a good idea.
    Also loosing weight too quickly is also a bad idea
    Your body needs a certain amount of calories depending on your height,weight and muscles. Physical activity ads calories to this need which is why sport helps with loosing weight. There are apps that can math this out for you like "my fittnes pal" on Google play.
    You want enough protein.
    This diet will just starve you from things you need.there are foods with little calories you can eat quite a bit of.
    I really like oatflakes and Curd or Joghurt with honey. I know people like saying oatflakes are boring but that's course they eat it wrong. Take natural Joghurt (fat/poorish/stuff if ya wanna) NOT FRUIT JOGHURT! Mix it yourself! Put some honey in there and yeet oatflakes in there.This stuff is really tasty.
    And there's so much more stuff like that.You need fat and proteins for survival by the way so no fat isn't ideal at all. You don't need sugar but it's still useful to have in the right amount. Especially more complex sugars unlike the white sugar.Sugar isn't automatically sugar .The amount is important

      Aro & Monsuuni I won’t believe you. You are underweight, I am 15 years old and healthy ~57kg who works out. You should be at least 50 kilos. Even an 10-11 year old who hasn’t reached puberty, weights that much and is healthy. But I guess it depends on your height. ( lol näköjää suomalaine, mut älysit varmaan kyllä.)

    I can confirm this works. I didnt loose 10 pounds as the original one claims. I actually did a variation of all days. I lost 4.2 pounds
    I had penut butter toast for breakfast. x2 but small slices.
    Even had a cheeky chicken sandwich on day 3 for lunch.
    But day 3 i jogedd and walked for total of 4.5km. In 3 days i recored i burnt over 2300 calories

    Actually it's a balance diet..my current diet:
    Breakfast:an apple+egg
    Lunch:quinoa+broccoli+chicken breast
    Dinner:apple or sometimes egg
    As I'm getting bored with my menu, I will change my breakfast to sweet potatoes, but for lunch I won't take carbs...i lost 20 kg in 3 months... Make sure to drink lotsss of water and I drink a cup of green tea before going to bed..
    Besides that, I jump rope about 1000 times or more every 2 days.. And weight training in the morning..

    Any initial weight loss is water loss from body, fat loss happens gradually post water loss n not immediately.
