A thank you for your interesting videos from Britain, you have inspired me to try Ikebana. I like your practical tips. Ikebana is such a lovely art form.
A little thank you from France, I was a little anxious about starting ikebana myself although I am really interested in it, your advice are very helpful and clear, I now feel like I can make it work 🌷🌿
If you only have a small Kenzan I use a substance like play dough. In South Africa it’s called prestik and in Australia it’s called blutak. Make a small ball then smooth and press it down as smooth as possible on the underside of the Kenzan and push it down as hard as you can to your container. I usually use a thicker branch to do that. It keeps it in place. I have also seen someone, when they didn’t have a Kenzan, use an empty, clean tuna tin covered with mesh wire, with the prestik. Then beautiful stones cover this “Kenzan” The arrangement was quite beautiful. Sometimes you have to be creative.
we love your videos. we're thinking of learning ikebana to pair with our planned urban flower farm since we rarely see these beautiful arrangements here in western Canada 😀
For everybody new to this channel, these videos will make you understand that ikebana is mostly about breathing out "chūi shite kudasai" very fast at the end of your sentences, with flowers on the side.
@@ikebana.master Hope this little touch of humour made you smile. Your videos have encouraged me to find the guts to try ikebana for myself these last couple of weeks. Arigato gozaimashita.
