Matt, the format here was the best one yet. I really found help with..... "if my choice had to be one it would be.......because.......and if conditions are....... then I adapt by going with this......."
That provided a GREAT starting point for knowledge.
Perfect format..... do MORE exactly like this

This is the one Bait working for us right now. My buddy started hand making them , so we have all the options now. The Double Willow that clanks the blades together is working good for us in Murky pond water. It all makes sense after this breakdown! I feel like we are learning, because this is what we are throwing right now, and with Keitech Trailers! Thanks again Matt!

Yet again another informative video. I concur with ALL you said. I have been using plastic trailers on spinnerbaits for 20+ years. All kinds. Keitech most recently. Much longer still the Kalin's 6" mogambo grub. You can shorten if necessary. The tail is a real thumper action. White, black and rootbeer flake. I have had awesome success working shallows in prespawn and first wave spawn. I am a diehard fan. Thanks for what you do.

I have days where I tie on a spinnerbait, and it is the one thing I throw all day long. I fish a lot of creeks and rivers. Lots of guys say that's too big. Except that I spent the day catching 17 - 20" while he was catching 8 - 10"rs all day on a Rebel Wee Craw and rooster tail. Also, I like that you stressed throwing them in cover. I love how SB come thru cover.

I love that you guys did this video! I am a fiend for spinnerbaits! It is not the most popular bait here in Upstate New York. I'm really glad you guys mentioned the trailer hook making the spinner bait the opposite of weedless. I've had people comment on my videos giving me crap for not using trailer hooks when I was fishing a thick grass . SMH.

I haven't yet started fishing but I have been reading books. One, in particular is a very good one about artificial lures. Some of what you've said is echoed in the book and vice versa. Yet what you have said seems to be much easier to follow though I'll have to watch this video a few more times to absorb it all. Another point to consider is that, except for a handful of ponds, which are relatively shallow, most of my fishing will occur in creeks and rivers with slow to fast current. Thanks for an informative video. Tight lines!

Love the spinnerbait videos! Without a doubt my #1 favorite way to fish. Only problem I have is finding spinnerbaits small enough to match the hatch on my local rivers and creeks. I can catch them on a average size spinnerbait, but small and compact gets me numbers. Nichols makes a really nice 1/4 oz. model I use a ton but they are kind of fragile because you literally have to retune the arm every fish.

I’m a huge spinnerbait Angler. I agree with springtime use but I’ve also got a lot of quality bass using then in the summertime. I keep a spinnerbait on year round. My summertime tactic of fishing submerged grass beds running a spinnerbait down just above the grass or slightly in the grass has gotten me some big summertime bass.

We still have 18" of ice on most ponds around me. I sure do enjoy Ice Fishing, because if you want to fish and you live in NH during the winter....you have to learn to like it. But, I sure do miss the search and seek out factor of casting some baits into places.

Spinnerbaits are one of my favorite baits. My PB (5lbs) came on a spinnerbait in a cold day in January 29th, 2002. Caught it near a drop off in clear water, near some weeds. In the same year, in a hot day in August 5th I caught a 4,57lb which at that time was my 2nd biggest bass (it still is my 3rd biggest bass ever) on the same spinnerbait. The fish was caught in stained water on a rip rap dam. It was under an overhanging tree. The fish was in the shade. Two nice fish in completely different conditions and times of year. The spinnerbait had a chartreuse head and red and gold skirt and 2 colorado silver hammered blades. Also put a chartreuse soft plastic frog as the trailer. Since then never caught a spinnerbait bass close to that size... Maybe it's because I stopped using red skirted spinnerbaits and colorado blades? There are a lot of red crawdads in these lakes. I catch spinnerbait fish all year long, but usually 1 to 3lb fish now...

I really love your videos because they are really helpful with understanding the different baits that I don't have a lot of experience with. I have suggestion. You mention murky water a lot and clear water a lot, but you don't mention dark (stained water) that's clear.) I mostly fish in a private lake in South Georgia that's fed by a black water stream and the water is crystal clear but as dark as the blackest tea,, and in some times of the year almost coffee color.

Hey Matt, you're singing my song 😜😂🎣😂🎣🎣 I went for my first time fishing this year, close to new moon, had a couple of warm days, and the night before, right at dark,I saw shad breaking top,but not really being chased, anyway,I picked up my 25 year old Loomis 812C 6'9" Rod, with my greenie 200E7 had a sexy shad color, and a chartreuse swim bait 3.5" fished the bank for a solid hour, then ⚡️🎣😂 6.2lb fat girly ferocious strike haha pics on Fishbrain now....I did miss 2 others, one slapped it,the other ran straight into me and I didn't get a good hookset, but the one I caught took the hook deep and through the jaw she wasn't coming off, and a thrilling first fish to kick off my 2018... Love your videos, and we certainly agree on everything when it comes to spinnerbaits.🎣🎣🎣 forgive my blab attack.😂🎣🎣😜

Hey guys! Thanks for the great tips, really helping me learn a lot when I go put this stuff to the test. I'm fishing a new lake (reservoir style) with no boat - shore pounding. Having trouble locating fish, and only got one up from a long point on the drop shot, even on a pre-frontal day today. How can I tell if these fish are still schooled up deep? Is a spinnerbait a good option to search for these fish, or should I stick to dragging the worm until I know they have started following the bait up?

I was down in Tallahassee Florida on Lake Jackson and I did throw this over the highway and with a swim bait on the back they aren't kidding. These things come through anything if you point right at the lure with your rod. Caught the biggest bass from that particular trip in that spot and it was really bad. Tons of weeds, broken off dead saplings and tall grasses. Love the weedless feature of the spinner bait and your right you just have to decide screw it I'm throwing into this once and if I lose the bait I lose the bait. That was all it took for me to gain immediate confidence in how weedless these things really are.

First thing first I've been watching y'all for a few years now and I'm a big fan. Please keep making videos. I am however more of a San Diego saltwater fisherman myself. So my question is does anyone here know of a saltwater channel that is as informative as tactical bassin but more for inland saltwater?
