Enjoyed that shallow water spinner bait. That’s the way i fish it, but didn’t know about how they stage out farther. 68 and still crazy about finding since I started when I caught my first bass at 15 years old I just bought a Zepco 33 and tie a hook and a big round bobber, with a nite crawler a foot below bobber, and threw it in the middle of my neighbors pond. And started baiting up another pole to fish on the bottom when something hit my bobber and my pole started for the water, grabbed it just in time but got wet, and caught a 3 and a half pounds large mouth. Woop Woop. Thx Jason great video
Love these how to videos you’ve been doing. You break it down and make it easier to understand and it’s really relatable especially in Oklahoma! Keep it up Christie 👊🏻
Great spinnerbait action and a joy to watch you cast, especially when you go to pitching it. I checked out the finesse coverts and am hoping you can get em to add the night time black or black and blue heads and skirts. Thanks!
I learn a lot from u Jason! Spinnerbaits are my favorite one thing I wanted to mention I own prob 20/25 coverts but the bands are breaking an I'm loosing the skirts. I know u designed this bait w all the best components but why didn't u hand tie the skirts? I can't even find the replacement skirt colors when the ban breaks?. I hope u start getting these hand tied if not atleast replacement skirts
thank you for signing my head turner rod at the classic! i already went out a whacked a 3 pounder on the covert red blade is the deal! (i was the kid on boat care)
I'm always surprised by the use of the Christie Frog Rod as a shallow water moving bait rod, though it makes sense as it's certainly similar to the Amistad in taper, so it's definitely got enough tip.
high sun post frontal and and water temps at 47 n 50 on the bank I fished where the muddy water and clean water met next to a little creek channel only place I got bit all day if you have high water and post front conditions with high sun when the lakes flood real bad would I be better off hitting the flooded stuff I got a bite on a jig all the way in the bank where it was flooded but I kept seeing fish deep on sonar n that was the only bite i had n i feel like i shouldve stuck with it a little longer n got a pattern goin but it was the only bite to had all day i pretty much was staying going with a spinner bait and a jig and got bit with a jig way back In a bush on the side of the little creek channel I'm from Indiana and we're still kinda in that prespawn area right now but the weather has been messing em up
Hey Jason. What line are you using? I know you typically use 20-25lb. fluoro, but that line looks like it had a red or orange tint to it. Is it braid with a leader or a tinted fluoro? Is the color only for you and seeing your line? Thanks! Great content, as always! Tight lines in Knoxville!
@@Christiefishing Thanks Jason. I was curious about the color of the line. I like to use line with some color to it, just for my own purposes (easier to see). I will def give that line a try.
Same. To be fair to both of us, muddy cold water is the hardest condition to fish in most anglers agree. I'm up north, by mid April the spinnerbait bite will start to fire up !!
Try a football head with a crayfish chunk and trophy bass by procure. Work football head really slow. After 1 minute pop rod tip. Wait another minute then raise rod tip 2 to 3 inches let it fall. Wait another minute pop rod tip. Then raise rod tip after 1 minute 2 inches. Let it sit. Work 1 area minutes doing what I suggested if no luck drag football head at least 2 to 5 inches. Let lure sit 1 minute repeat pop and rod raise 10 minutes 1 spot. If you fish an area 20 minutes no luck move to another spot with dark rock or muddy bottom that will have warmer temperatures and fish. Cast a lot to find areas with muddy or rocky bottoms. Good luck be safe. 😊
The spinnerbait king !
Spinner baits are fire in early spring! 💯
Hated giving up that trophy but your name is etched forever in history man. Great info great video. Good luck this year.
Thanks!

20 plus minutes of Christie spinnerbaitin'! Always great content and hope you find em biting it at the Classic. Give em hell champ! 💪🐟
Awesome info! I live in Minnesota. Spinnerbait is a staple. I'm making this year learning Spinnerbait.
The way a bass hits a spinnerbait is intoxicating. I love it. Only things that compare is topwater and a jerkbait.
Agree
Pretty cool video. You were in my backyard.
Great spinnerbait video! I like your thought processes used to find and catch them.

You’re welcome! Thanks for coming
Just picked up 4 of the new finesse Coverts on Lurenet. Can’t wait to throw them. They look great.
Good luck!
What gear ratio does he like and no trailer hook correct?
Love your videos I do not throw my spinnerbaits that much I will try more after this video.
Glad to help

Why do most guys fish spinnerbaits on fc instead of braid?
I like a mix of mono, braid and flouro! And I feel like I’m saving money! 😂🎣
For me it’s just a feel thing , I rarely lose fish for figure why make a change if my landing percentage is so high .
I like a little give when the fish take it. Copolymer all the way for me. Definitely not braid. Also, I fish spinnerbaits all around wood.
I just love the fluorocarbon...the forgiveness...the strength...

20 lb. Power 2C FC. Most of my gear should be listed in descriptions of videos

Last day. Good luck. Find the giants and bring home the trophy again. 🤞
Thanks. I tried!
@@Christiefishing can't win them all. You did great 👍
Threw a spinnerbait today in 43 degree muddy water. Didn't get a bite
Same.

Didn't throw it with your tongue in the right spot

Yo phew I see you did not have on your boots don’t play with them snakes. I always have my boots on all the time any conditions.
Finding bass in THEIR transition, not there.
Love spinnerbait bass...I will definitely be using them in the arsenal this weekend! Keep pluggin' brother! 🎣🫡 Fi$h-N-Game 4Life!!!
