Hi! Yes you can. If you have a Roli Lightpad Block, go to the Roli Dashboard and select Note Grid. If you then click "Edit", you can change the "Scale" and set the Root note by changing "Transpose". You can then follow the rest of the steps in the video to get your Roli Block working in Ableton! Hope this helps! btw, you can also choose "Ableton Live Control" in the Roli Dashboard and click on the "Mode" button on the Roli Block to switch between triggering Ableton clips, a Drum Pad, or the Note Grid. Worth a try as well!

Hi, its not working for me mate. When I press the Seaboard keys, some of them play notes, others are trying to control Live (e.g. starting a track, moving between tracks). Please help.
Hey! We may need to check a few things, but let's try this first. Is your Seaboard Block set to "MPE" Mode in the Roli Dashboard? "MPE" Mode or "Multi Channel" Mode should only play notes, but I noticed if the Seaboard is in "Piano" Mode or "Single Channel" Mode it will trigger the transport and clips also.
@@IntempusMusic yes it is set to MPE. I notice that the MIDI End Channel was set to 1. So I changed it to 16. I thought it was working fine then but when I hit certain notes they do not play a note, they perform a function, like they were Midi mapped to a function in Live. My Seaboard is quite old, but everything is updated. Also, I am trying to use the Roli Studio Player and Equator plug-ins.
@@ckproductions9615 Ok, I know exactly what you mean about certain notes performing like a MIDI mapping when pressed. Same thing just happened to me when using Roli Studio Player. At least for Roli Studio Player, I fixed it by changing from "Single Channel Mode" to "MPE Mode". You can change this by clicking on my 1/8th note icon at the bottom right of Roli Studio Player. Also double check to make sure the number of MIDI channels in Roli Dashboard match Roli Studio Player or Equator in the MIDI Settings of either plug in. Let me know if this helps. If not, let me know if pressing keys on the Seaboard triggers things in Ableton WITHOUT any plugins on the MIDI channel. This might help trouble shooting whether it's the synths or the Seaboard/Ableton.

Hi! Can I play with Scale Mode on the Roli?
Hi! Yes you can.
