With Ableton, it's easy to fix notes with hotkeys and dragging/rebuilding, but what I did not realize with the ROLI is it's extremely difficult to make these adjustments, quantize, since there are 16 tracks and pretty much impossible to make easy adjustments. I haven't seen any videos showing an easy way to do this. I can record as midi and to an audio track, but to quantize is virtually impossible. Any suggestions?
Thanks, I've successfully set up Seaboard by following this tutorial, but the sustain pedal linked to my Seaboard 49 isn't working in Live 10. It works when loading Equator in stand-alone. I've tried toggle the pedal midi setting in Roli Dashboard, the midi data is sent to Ableton (the little yellow light on top-right of Ableton lights up) but no sustain is applied. Any idea what might be the issue?
Can you ever see the midi data in the abelton midi keyboard? I would love to use the equator sounds in abelton, but it seems like I can only record, not physically draw in notes
Megan Frai Hi there 😀 Unfortunately you can only record it, the mid shift channels every time you hit the notes... I have not seen another way to play equator in ableton.
Hi. I have ableton live 10 lite and the full version of equator with my seaboard block. When I try to insert the equator plugin into ableton, there is nothing there under the section where the plug ins are. Also, I have checked that it can use plugins.
So go under preferences under file folder switch use vst plug-in system folder if you have a Mac If you have a pc turn on use vst plug-in custom folder and finde your folder equator is... hope that answers your question 😁
How do I record other sounds? Can I use different sounds on the next track when recording with Equator sound? When I record a new sound from the track below, the originally recorded sound is replaced with the newly selected sound. Help me if you know the answer.

Well, I seem to not have the .dll file of Equator that could be added in Ableton Live as a VST plug-in. Strobe 2 player has the VST file of it automatically but for some reason not Equator
following your guide i get the error message "Midi out of range" Note data is coming into equator on CH1 which should be reserved for the global midi messages. i haven't been able to figgure out why though...any thoughts?

@@JesperSvane the only way you can make proper loops is with the rec button on, on all 16 channels, so it gets full mpe effect. The thing here is that if you want to use Ableton as a looper with other instruments or equator's effects, you can´t, unless you know a way to keep various grouped tracks in rec mode and respecting the assigned equator effects... Don't now if I explained myself properly

Use Reaper and ReWire into Ableton. That's what I do!
Actually you can. first record then look into which channel it recorded then you can edit and add whatever you want

It is the same as working normal in ableton.
