What is meant when he says it's a monster engine? Like, is the engine different or have any key monster sport under pinnings that a Suzuki F6a is lacking?
True true. But still fun to see the cars race each other. I also made a race version Cappu in gran tursimo and raced a bunch of cars around Tsukuba and won.
"To be fair" when there was nothing fair about this to begin with. A 6 Cylinder 400HP SKYLINE vs a 3 cylinder 130HP Cappuccino. Make the skyline run on 3 cylinders to be fair. LMAO
@Garage Kei it reminds me of a race 2 friends competed in recently. One was on a 180hp Yamaha R1 and the other on a 44hp Kawasaki Ninja 400. Because the track was smaller the 400 passed the R1 and the R1 couldn't catch up. If they were at a bigger track where the R1 could actually use its power it would've been different. But at the end of the day at Nikko the Cappus won and that's what matter!!! Kei for life!!!
@MoyZarate nope. The premise of this build is to keep the original engine AND keep it under 660cc. The F6a is the best. You can modify it and get high HP but it's light so the car doesn't become too heavy.
I knew someone would bring that up.... I'm not sure. Speculation was made but we weren't given a full pre and post race brief from the skyline race team on what their official excuse for getting thrashed was but I'm sure it would have been something like that.😂😂😂 If you agree to race and your car isn't up to scratch then that's on you and there is no excuses to be made. "Oh but the car was misfiring". Then why did you race? I used to care about stuff like that deeply. Then I saw the recent Kei car drag race video that was a total and utter balls up and gave up on it. The fact is it lost. the reason why is totally irrelevant. In this case it's 660cc f6a vs a 2600cc RB26 that's over 3 times the displacement. Cappuccino has a curb weight of 725kg. 2 of the 3 cars that run are full interior and everything. bigger intercoolers etc so could be even heavier... Skyline is double that at 1430kg looked to be full interior. We didn't get a claimed HP rating for the 3 Cappuccino that beat the skyline but I'd guess 130-150 HP max. The skyline came in boasting 400hp... Double the weight. Without question more than double the HP.... 4wd and got chopped off the line..... He lost by a LOT... Wasn't even close. He never had his car. So where do the excuses begin and end? Was it backfiring. Was the driver feeling sick? Was he texting!?!? Did the driver give up after the first Cappuccino passed him? Dunno... The result is the result.. Nothing else matters - Metallica
Would've been an entirely different outcome had the skyline been running right. The cappuccino is fantastic but you've left out that the skyline was running like shit. 4wd Skylines with 400hp shouldn't get chopped off the line like that.
I didn't leave anything out because this video wasn't about the Skyline.. The driver of the Skyline decided that the car was good to go end of story about the "misfiring". His reaction time is the reason he was slow off the line. His understeering on turn 2 is why he lost second position. This was the result. That's literally all that matters. No one came to the evo's defense when it got CHOPPED by the cappuccino that came in 3rd place this time. LOL
How? At what point does jamming an overweight (and oversized) GM part into a kei car make it better? Traditionally modifying Japanese cars with American parts has been a recipe for disaster...
@@Ranaglanok for 1 Chevy 6 speeds dominate the aftermarket And 2 a 10 speed for that low of a displacement engine would keep it in the power band at all times
I Googled "American 10 speed" and all I got was a bicycle. The problem with most transmissions is that they're too long. This car already chopped a skyline using a stock gearbox. Changing the transmission will only make the car heavier and therefore slower. On top of that, for me, after beating a skyline with a 3 cylinder 660cc engine, the game has already been won There is no need for a different gearbox.
@@GarageKei Ford and Chevy make 10 speeds and likely other than a brief ignition cut could constantly flat shift all over the track I said a 10 speed could do wonders not that it was necessary especially for the small track Japan has And on second thought if any improvements could really be gained from a new transmission a transaxle from a c5 Corvette or a reverse pinion Subaru with some moderate fab work for a better weight balance could be a big jump on weight balance
I disagree. From all the previous unlimited budget cappuccino builds I've seen I think you'll make the car slower because you're just adding weight. Not to mention the gear shifter will be in the trunk. The cappuccino revs so high that you don't drop out of boost when you shift anyway.
They were playing Zeta Gundam music in the background. Damn, I love Japan.
I wish they bloody wouldn't. TH-cam flags copyright sometimes and mutes the whole video.

Yep. It was a little coincidence. The gaijin in a car episode happened on this day as well.
Cv21s... Nice 👍

It's an engine that was fully assembled at monster sport.
You can learn more about it here:
www.monster-sport.com/product/parts/complete_eng/f6a.html
To be fair, the skyline did have issues. You can check it out in Noriyaro's video.

Damn, I'd love to do those bits to my cappo and go up to 1.8 bar of boost haha
Engine intervals are just forged pistons and a metal head gasket.. that's about $1200 though. I can't afford that. 🤣😅
He said 1.8 and I thought Holy hell that's a lot. Mine big car only boosts to like 1.2 bar.
But does your car have forged internals? The F6A crank and rods are forged from factory. Add pistons and you're good to go
@Garage Kei maybe someday but that's a lot for a Volvo!!! Lol
