  • I wanted to show you more than just the standard 'I went to an event' video so I asked a few random people what they had done to their Suzuki Cappuccino in order to drift and then we could come to some sort of conclusion of what are the most common mods and which are the most important.
It seems as though that should be Knuckles to reduce spins, more power (bolt on 100hp kits being the minimum we saw), coilovers for suspension adjustability, and then the parts get more personalized.

Its so good seeing the lower powered non-AE86 drift scene, barely any people record them even though its way more interesting imo. My good Miata people are underrepresented aswell...

It's amazing what you can do with 100-150hp in a Cappuccino. In a previous video I shot they beat a lancer evolution around Nikko circuit. In a future video they beat a 400hp R32 GTR around Nikko circuit.
I agree the lesser powered drifting is more interesting to me too. Thanks for watching and commenting!

"Rear tires with no grip" is the real MVP
Speaking from experience, you can "drift" an Every wagon on wet blacktop tarmac (which I will absolutely not recommend because imagine if your rear suddenly finds grip :D )

I did see Noriyaro but I don't think he appears in this video.
He will appear in a future one.

Love getting to peek under these builds and discovering new parts and setups. Just wondering, have you ever met the VAQERATTA guys? they seem to do a lot of track time and have some really cool mods for cappuccinos. It would be awesome to get a closer look with translated dialog lol.

I'm 100% sure I have met them. They basically inherited Cozy lights' operation as far as I know. I've never been to their shop. Be interested to go if I had someone to go with.
Thanks for watching my videos. More coming up soon.

Awesome video, it's so cool to have content from inside the Japan car community!
Have you been behind the wheel of a cappuccino with a bigger turbo? If yes how is the throttle response compared to oem?
    Thanks :D

    • @GarageKei
      @GarageKei  ปีที่แล้ว

Yea my friend has a cappuccino with 118hp the response doesn't really change that much. If you mean lag well that depends on how big the turbo you put on is. The RHB31FW (f100) turbo adds a little of lag like +500rpm?... but because the car revs so high it doesn't matter. Some turbos don't kick in until 6000rpm. So they just drive 6000-9800rpm 😂

Probably have been asked this before but ive been doing a bit of research on the internet and the facebook page but cant seem to find the answer.
im Extremely fascinated by the cappuccinos, ive imoported one car from japan already and id really like to import a cappuccino at some point. I think me being such a small and light person is what attracts me to them. So my question is what is the best combination of "bolt on" mods to see around or over 100hp ? From what im seeing the n1/n2 ecus are best plug and play option without having to worry about tuning it. if i was to run a n1/n2 ecu what would be the best quality and most reliable turbo i could buy, what injectors would i need ? i would already plan on doing other supporting mods like better intercooler, hard piping, catback exhaust and so on.

It sounds like you've done your research well. Be aware that there's a lot of lies out there.
The injectors you need are 300cc sard. (I have heard that other OEM injectors work but I don't know that for sure)
If your goal is around 100 horsepower, then an N1 or an N2 will do that.
As far as turbo goes, the N2 came in kits called the F100 and F111 So if you could get a turbo from one of those, that would be the best quality and most reliable.
You can also go for the monster hyper.
I've also had good things about the Chinese HT07-4a.
However with that you need the piles from the EA21R to clear the wastegate actuator....
I actually did a video on cappuccino turbos so go check that out.
You are right, intercooler is very important. everything around the turbo is. At the very least change the air filter.
Every piece that you change on the exhaust will make a difference. So if you can do a cat delete you should. If you can do the exhaust manifold then you should.
Don't think there is really a best combination. It's just that you have to get them all...
Any of the turbos I mentioned will get you over 100 horsepower.
I don't know what intercooler is better than others because I haven't tested any of them myself so I couldn't recommend one over the other. There are extremely cheap options. I would stay away from those. Simply based on the thought that you get what you pay for. Having said that, the monster is extremely expensive. Is it worth the extra money? I don't know. I'm actually asking myself the same question at the moment. I did a video on cappuccino intercoolers as well so check that out.
It's a long topic so I think maybe it's best discussed in a live stream, so I'll do that at some point....

@@GarageKei Thanks for the quick reply
i have actually just been reading even more on the fb page into comments and such and just finished watching your turbo video. I didnt realise how "easy" it was to get a f6a to around the 120 whp mark. i say easy but im fairly confident i would be able to do the work myself as ive been working on cars since i was 8 although never on a turbo car. From your very informative comment and what i gathered im just trying to make a list of parts i would need as i do intend on buying on of these cars.
So far ive got an n1/n2 ecu, hto7-4a im kinda leaning towards the ar9, 300cc injectors and a fmic. For the exhaust id have to do a catback because the rules are pretty strict in my country and i already have to change a manifold once a year on one car.
it seems sourcing the parts will be the hardest part. I do believe in what you said by the way "you get what you pay for". If i am to go through with this build i will not be sparing any money on buying cheap parts it will have a good service with ngk, good oil and so on before doing anything.
Thanks for the info and id love to see a live stream or some sort of video on the topic because i feel like its a question a lot of people have when looking at buying cappuccinos. I have definitely fallen down a rabbit hole looking at all the bits you can get for them with the likes of us racing bumpers and cross bits. 120hp in a 700kg~ car is stupid especially if the driver is as light as me 😂
