Batman: Arkham Asylum is a 2009 action-adventure video game based on the DC Comics superhero Batman. It was developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Eidos Interactive in conjunction with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 video game consoles, and Microsoft Windows. A remastered version was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in October 2016. Arkham Asylum's success launched a series of Batman: Arkham sequels, beginning in October 2011 with Batman: Arkham City.
Batman: Return to Arkham, developed by Virtuos, features remastered versions of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City using the Unreal Engine 4 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Additionally, both games include all previously released downloadable content, and feature improved graphics, upgraded models and environments, as well as improvements in the lighting, effects and shaders.

this game was ahead of its time. rarely do we get such high quality gaming & a company that is innovative and wants its player base to be satisfied. Other than CDPR & Naughty Dog for japanese gaming companies(whoever made Nier Automata & Gravity Rush 2.
lmao the new Spider-Man PS4 game doesn't give a fuck about their player base. They just recently gave us some horrible DLC suits instead of giving us the Sam Raimi Spider-Man suit that most everyone requested them to make us.

@@nugg3t382 yeah, finally, and they just fixed the graphics for the suit. When it was first released it looked fucking horrible. It was rushed because people were hating on them. Arkham Knight has better graphics and it was done un 2015 and they were smarter with DLC suits. PLUS, the NPCs of Spider-Man PS4 still look like nightmare fuel. People on boats look like PS1 graphics. Few reasons why it didn't win game of the year.

dang, i played this when i was like 6. not when it came out, but a couple years later. i never beat it but i watched my dad beat it. then several years later i got arkham city and loved it. 2 years later i got an xbox one and arkham knight. all great games, and i would love for you to continue this game.

Just couldn’t bloody do it so I sold it on eBay and bought this game instead because I heard the Batmobile didn’t figure. Really enjoy your videos. Started watching your channel just a few weeks ago when I FINALLY got round to playing Arkham Knight (bought the game in late 2015!). Have played all the other Batman Arkham games and am just going back to replay the remastered versions of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City so pleased to see you have uploaded your walkthrough. Enjoying playing this game again but am finding it easier going than I remember, probably because we've all gotten used to how everything works and have more experience of the games ... real shame there's no multi-fear takedown here as that was really cool in Arkham Knight.
I really don't get the point of remastering the game if it won't run on 60 FPS...
I still think remasters are ok, for people like me who never owned a last gen console.

I don't care what anyone says Arkham City is the best Arkham game ever made, the story is phenomenal, the gameplay is incredibly good for that time period, it's the best Arkham game that rocksteady has ever made period
It's so crazy that origins is my favorite game. It's just too good bro, the boss fights were perfect, in my opinion they portrayed the beginning of batman too well and it was just so perfect, the beginning of batman and how aggressive he is, he is so angry and young. And using roger was the best option for a younger batman, the beginning of a relationship with the villians and batman and them beginning to fear him and especially the relationship with bane or joker with batman. They portrayed the beginning of a great rivalry between joker and batman just too good. And then you can see that the joker will start to know batman better and he knows his weaknesses, like he didn't know that batmam would not kill anyone and he tried to break him. So joker was the best in origins and had the best design as a younger joker. The story was perfect, especially bane and batman and how they knew each other. I love origins and I don't care what anyone says, it is so underrated just because of a stupid reason that rocksteady didn't make it. The Deathstroke and bane boss fights still gives me chills till this day, they don't appreciate this game much. It's definitely top 2. I understand opinions but they really should pay attention to this game more. That mission in the hotel royale is still the best mission in the series. It was perfect how you go from the sewers to the hotel and you do detective and predator stuff and you see the joker scene where he kills electrocutioner and you get his gloves, and you have to make your way up to the hotel, it was perfect. And then going to the bane fight while joker is watching. And you go save joker and actually this game really did the backstory of batman and joker justice. You can see how deep joker is. That's why I just love origins, and to point out origins was the first arkham game I played that's why I love it, it introduced me to the series. And it's the prequel so it was perfect to play first.
The best joker, the best boss fights, the best character designs, the best character development, the best incantation of the villians, the perfect song, the best bruce wayne and Alfred portrayel.

Creative Geek funny story, my friend was stuck on the cloudburst battle. He was like "how do you beat the Arkham Knights tank?" Then this other guy said "you got to bend over and take it like a man". Not knowing he said this, he told me "but its too hard." It was a good time.
Deadshot i found it extremely challenging. Although, i did manage to beat the main story in two days. I also did every sode mission except riddlerd revenge. Im nit putting forth the effort to find all riddler trophies

Mitsuo Katagiri Oh, ok. Yeah, I think Origins is an underrated Batman Arkham game, I do agree it's not the best game, but I like the plot and voice acting quite a bit. They also gave Alfred a decent story arc in the game for the first time in the series.

Mitsuo Katagiri yeah, I'd say my favorite part of Origins is seeing Jokers backstory a little bit and being able to play as him for a little bit. I also really like the opening cutscenes of the game, they really stepped up the graphics with a more smooth touch to it compared to Asylum and City.

Reason why Joker mentions a Crocodile: Officer cash lost his hand to Killer Croc who evidently is also at Arkham Asylum and it persists to be one of his biggest fears. As Joker is a character who loves to toy with a human's psychology and fears, it is within his character to mention something that he knows is deeply personal to Cash to try and mess with his mind. That detail right there...*chefs kiss*

Combat in this game was much easier than the others... it’s like coloring outside the lines in crayon in this game, to drawing in Pencil in city, coloring that drawing in origins (inside the lines) & inking/adding color to a comic book in knight... the addition of gadgets in combat, the strategic use of those gadgets & their importance... this game is more bare bones Batman than origins was, but this game is soooo well done in visuals, story arc & misc controller use for combat, gadgets, detective mode & just the whole intro to thearkham world!

I have played and beat all except for arkham knight. The creators did an amazing job. I also love the Batman Begins game too. That was actually my first Batman game ever played lol
