- This pasta salad recipe is so good....full of flavor and roasted veggies. It's a simple pasta salad recipe that makes a great side dish anytime. If you're going to a bbq or get together, this pasta salad with Italian dressing is an easy recipe for a party.

I made your salad for company, and it was delicious! You might want to try this-I added arugula instead of romaine or a green leaf lettuce, and it was still delicious the next day. No different than adding spinach or arugula to a soup. Also, sprinkling Parmesan from a jar made it extra yummy! I plan on making this many times in the future!

Nice Roasted Salad Salad. Ha Ha - the key to making the cherry tomato slicing thing work, is to use a SERRATED knife. They must've forgot to tell you that part.
LOL apparently so! It wasn't working out so well for me. The serrated knife would have done the trick. Next time! 😁
You can use the deli container lids and put the tomatoes on the top of the lid that has a rim to help hold the tomatoes . Put the other lid top down on the tomatoes and it holds them in place,

I have also tried cutting cherry tomatoes between two lids. It was the biggest waste of time. Plus, your knife has to be super sharp or you will have a hard time cutting them at all. The pasta salad looks delicious, just like everything you make. ❤

Cutting the cherry tomatoes with the lid works much, much better with smaller lids like peanut butter jar, lids or mayonnaise jar lids! Good luck I can’t wait to try the salad

Hi Renee, flip the deli lids over so the tomatoes sit inside the lips of the lids, the lip will hold the tomatoes in place, you don't need to be so careful that way.

This looks great and I mean that. For me I ‘d just leave out the pepperoni😢 but you can add and subtract anything. My nephew went to culinary school and graduated, but only practiced for a bit, but he and his family would love this. I will share this with him and he could adapt it however his family likes. It is easier to slice the cherry tomatoes with two hard plates. You just have to hold the top plate to keep it from sliding off. That way the tomatoes are more stable. This salad sounds and looks sooo tasty. Wonderful for summer!!!

Oxo used to make a cherry and grape slicer gadget that was so great. I don't know why they don't make it anymore, I found mine at a garage sale. I think ebay is the only place you can find it now (or a garage sale :) ).

First of all...I'm super jealous! Have a great time in PV. I'll be back there myself soon enough ☀️ I actually don't eat any raw veggies but I do eat fruit at restaurants. I had a friend get sick from eating raw jicama (she thinks that was the culprit because she and her husband snacked on it while waiting for their food). I have never had any stomach issues while in PV, but last winter several people with me had bad issues that lasted for about 5 days. We were all eating the same foods at the same restaurants....so I'm not sure at all what happened. My advice is just be smart about where you eat.

Turn the deli lids over. The lid rim is used as a guide. You just had them reversed. No biggie. The salad looks delicious 😋 great recipe🎉

Reverse the lids when cutting the tomatoes. The lip keeps them from escaping and gives you a smaller space to cut between.

I’ve been making pasta salad for years and this seems so yummy. But I never add the dressing until time to eat it bcuz the pasta soaks up the dressing. My mom doesn’t add it until time to eat either. Bcuz it becomes dry and u feel like u need to add the dressing again.
