  • In this video, I install some of the must have accessories for the jetson bolt pro electric bike. The new Jetson Bolt Pro electric bike is compact, foldable and very affordable. It features some impressive spec and has a range of 30 miles with pedal assist. The bike is great for short commutes and extremely fun to ride. I was able to pick this up for $299 at Costco.

I've been watching your entire series on this bike - thank you so much for creating them! They're so helpful. I am thinking of getting these for my aging parents so they can get outside in the fresh air and have some exercise but not get too fatigued, and still be able to handle hills. These baskets will be perfect so they can go a few blocks away to do some shopping without having to drive their cars, and the bottle holder is brilliant also. How long have you been using the bike now, and do you feel it is still holding up well?

Your videos on the Jetson Bolt Pro encouraged me to buy one for my wife, she loves it so I bought one for myself, I love it too but mine is different then hers. Her bike accelerates from a stop on throttle quietly while mine makes a noise from the drive hub, not a grinding but a laboring noise, it goes away eventually but happens every time I use the throttle. Should I be concerned? It operates fine but I wonder if something is not aligned correctly or not lubed, any suggestions and also how about a routine maintenance video. Thank you for all your excellent videos.

Thanks. It’s hard to find racks that fit this bike. I had a rack I had to take apart but had to make diy spacers but it still jiggled. As for bags, I had baskets but they kept flipping upside down cause when I screwed it, the washer came off. I gave in and decided to purchase your recommendations, however I made a locked battery case. The brick batteries are 16 ah I bought 2 so basically round 20 miles each. In essence all together including the battery that came with it will be 50 miles if I want.

This is a great bike. However, it is difficult to ride because it is very jittery. May be a little too responsive, and hard to take your hands off the handlebars. Will replacing the handlebars help with those? Or is it a function of the wheel size being too small?

I'm hoping to save money to get this bike for my transportation needs and what I'd like to do is purchase a rain canopy for the bike and am also hoping to have the same cargo carrier, perhaps add a front and rear basket, and am also thinking to eventually purchase a solar power station that I can plug the bike into for continuous rides. What do you think of these ideas, and have you tried them?

You'll need to wire three of these in a series for 36 volts. $1,200 may be a bit pricey for all three. Portable mounting on the Jetson Bolt Pro could pose a small problem impairing balance and vision. There could also be a weight factor. ;P www.bougerv.com/products/360-watt-solar-panel

The angled part of the panniers is meant to go to the front. It allows for heel clearance while pedaling. Look at some pictures of bikes with panniers and you may see what I mean.
It's an interesting bike at a great price point, but I'm afraid first and foremost for me an ebike has to be a bike. At some point, you're going to run out of battery, or a controller will fail, or one of the plastic planetary gears in the hub will shed all of its teeth... then you've got to pedal the beast.
Without power, I couldn't ride this bike more than a block without my knees going out due to the inadequate leg extension from the short seat post. The poor selection of good 14-in tires is also problematic for me.
I am probably going to have to get a hub kit and convert one of my 20-in folding bikes to get the bike I want at a price I can afford
