I've been to three African capitals (Kigali, Kampala, and Nairobi) and one of the most populous cities in Africa (Lagos). Nairobi stood out the most to me. Definitely where I'm relocating to in Africa this year 😊

Loving this as Kenyan! My younger sister has a black American boyfriend who visited Kenya during the 2022 Xmas. He joined us at my parent's upcountry home where we slaughtered a goat and cooked many other types of food. He was amazed that in the upcountry we have electricity, a couple of fridges, running water in the house for the kitchen and bathrooms, and a tarmacked road right outside our home. He felt so at home that on the 2nd day of his stay, he was getting food from the kitchen by himself and we loved that 😀😀. This is in Nyeri County, Mathira Sub-county, or rather Mathira Constituency where you meet Mt. Kenya region Kikuyus.

I'm an American nomad in Kenya for the first time (in Nairobi for 1 week then Kitale for 2 months) and I agree with everything you said. The weather is amazing and definitely don't need AC, the people are not aggressive unlike many other places I've been and everyone is just so friendly and seem genuinely happy and kind, I see Nairobi as a well-developed and beautiful city, the food is amazing, and the greenery! I feel safe and welcome here. I'm so grateful that this wonderful city has been my introduction to Sub-Saharan Africa. Great review.

Nairobi Kenya is a beautiful city but also VERY EXPENSIVE. For anyone planning to settle in Kenya temporarily or permanently, consider also small towns or rural areas. Life in rural areas can be very satisfying living on your own farm growing your own food, keeping your own animals, enjoying your peace and quite and spending less. Some less known small towns or rural areas to consider would be:
      1. Athi River
      2. Mtito Andei
      3. Kericho
      4. Matunda
      5. Kakamega
      6. Meru
      7. Taveta
      8. Kitale
      9. Kirinyaga
      10. Chemelil
      11. Homa Bay
      12. Naro Moru

If i was to live in Africa, kenya is top on my list. Well, only issue i d face now is a residency permit. Back in the days, we used all tricks in the book including student passes...but all in all, of all african countries i have visited, kenya ranks top! Wonderful memories

You are so honest and I love that.
I have travelled to many other countries severally, and Kenya is a fantastic place.
There is totally no need for air conditioning in Nairobi, but Mombasa and other coastal towns in Kenya, it's a must.

The Village Market is next to 🇺🇸 embassy, the UN, other embassy’s and diplomatic residences so it’s meant to cater for that demographic.

Thats what I always tell people about our home, we enjoy the sun a lot because it beams but it doesn't burn and the air is not humid 😊
And how green our country is and how laid back and cool our people are.
Thank you guys for letting people know about our home 😊
And these videos about Africa are great to the blacks all over the world. It reassures to know they have a home in africa and also helps them understand how their brothers and sisters in africa who they haven't seen for hundreds of years how they are. These videos are really changing our narrative as black people and I love them. Keep up the good work guys 👏

Why are they surprised that we have a 'modern' airport, skyscrapers and EVEN Uber Eats, to name a few?! We're supposed to be in caves or something? I'm sorry but it's 2023 y'all! I'm not trying to be disrespectful or condescending but all this information is available on your fingertips! We can't blame the media for the poor portrayals anymore. Furthermore, if you're visiting a country of course you should look it up online. Anyway, I'm glad y'all had a good experience.
