These recovery stories are unbelievable and very helpful and inspiring. Messages of great hope. Especially people that have suffered for years. It is also common that people almost always want to help others heal. This shows how great and loving humans are at their core.

Thank you for this wonderful interview. The part with the hospital is so true. In the years prior to cfs, my nervous system was already out of balance, I had to go the hospital quite often. But while the cfs was really bad I always decided to stay at home, because I knew going there would make everything so much worse and they couldn't help me anyway. As long as I was sure that I wouldn't die I figured it out alone. I would have loved to go and become help. Your whole life you think, when I am really sick, I go to the hospital. But when you are sick for a long time and the medical system dosn't have any answers, there is no point. Unless it is an emergency. I would always call the ambulance when my life is in danger. Feeling so bad and not even have the option to get help, is one of the reasons why it feels like nobody cares.

I understand the desperation, mine was intense. Said many times please God help me. Started with trauma, insomnia tired wired. Extreme fatigue, allergic to most foods. Absolutely hell on earth. I am 8 years into this and will never give up. Learn from each other and turn to God for strength to endure this and pray for healing.

Raelan, have you had the chance to interview someone who went through CFS and perimenopause at the same time. I believe a book-"the new meno pause' states CFS is one of the issues related to perimenopause. But is it really related to CFS or did the two life events just coalesce to happen at the same time as telling symptoms apart for both issues can be hard. Drop in estrogen coupled with cumulative stress build up over years could have created the perfect storm. Curious to learn more about this.

Thank you there was so much validation in this one a very similar experience timeline except she was actually able and did the cavitation and cervical spine work! Awesome! I do believe you were spot with that as contributors to the ANS firing off. Contributors. Resolved.
The abusive relationship. Triggering the ANS. A Contributor. Resolved. Left the relationship. Realized it was resume and did the work.
Then the ANS work including Safe & Sound. Oh wish I could do all of these steps myself.
30 years into all of this… so yes all those stages of narratives… adrenals, candida, of course the spiritual and psychological… that was some BIG T Trauma for me and it came with the abusive relationships. So did my cervical whiplash, just not safe.
But the dental issues were longstanding since baby teeth and progressive. So much dental issues due to what is now recognized as MCAS.
The cavitation theory was presented at a slightly recovered stage for me… post leaving the abuse scenario and post spine and TBI injury and post my first DNRS in person with a slight bump up.
But the oral surgeon I trusted got so angry and frustrated with me over the cavitation concept, he was a family friend, I walked away from it and tried remediation vs pulling the offending teeth and dealing with the cavitations. 10 years later I have some serious jaw deterioration causing cervical and infection autoimmune issues. I didn’t follow my gut this was a baseline contributor because of HIS response. So sad. Now I have a mess to hopefully some day resolve.
But because I tried to remediate the teeth and had horrible reactions and spiral downward I just crashed and burned. And ran out of money and resources because I couldn’t work and housing.
I am unable to do the visualization due to a lack of mental pic ability (aphantasia). So I tried to modify the DNRS to music. It helped. Music is my emotion driver.
Oh the Joe Dispenza years. So tried to make that work too. Sigh. Wish I had access to all of this now. Going to hold onto hope I can find a way. Try anyway.
The shame spiral. Oh man! It’s huge. The shame of being told and potentially believing your condition is “all in your head” self created and your family is having to care for you.
It’s the worst. And yet you are doing ALL of these brain thought modality treatments practices and it isn’t moving the needle much.
You feel so overwhelmed with responsibility for your situation like a big old bathtub filled with shame.
Especially when your “partner” is doing the shaming that if you “just” wouldn’t think the way you think and would be disciplined enough to do the work then you would be better. The shaming.
And yet you are doing the work and the meditations and the visualizations and ALL of it so much more than anyone else is doing and yet it doesn’t move the needle enough.
Love the story and I am so thankful you found your recovery answers. ❤❤❤
    Just say “No” to shame.

I would like to know a little bit more about what Theresa says about adrenal fatigue. I had long covid and after doing many things I got rid of many symptoms but still had this crushing fatigue. A functional doctor had me do some extensive hormonal testing and found that I had very low levels of adrenal hormones. I have been taking these as supplements and it has allowed me to have more normal levels and to be back to my functional self, but I am wondering if there is any way to stop taking them and reboot my adrenal glands to function on their own.

Hi I had POTS at the beginning still get flare ups. It passed as I calmed my nervous system. Doing some things to raise my BP helped at the beginning, I think mostly because I felt like I was doing something pro-active, but really just accepting and loosing my fear of it was key. I actually woke up with POTS symptoms this morning. They resolved as day went on. I hope that helps

Dear Jennifer, I would say, yes absolutely, helping your son calm his nervous system and providing natural foods and a calm & natural atmosphere around him will probably improve his symptoms significantly. Try to understand or observe that he will very quickly feel overwhelmed, hence giving him a lot of quiet space, love, support, patience, and understanding (cutting down any expectations, stress, or pressure for him) would go a long way for him to heal. Both I and my son had developed a lot of autistic traits after the vacc!ne (mine very severe)... and we are both almost back to normal. I wish you all the best for you and your son.
