Great video, really enjoy watching how things are done in the U.K. i was surprised to see you can use copper for gas supply, thats a no go in the U.S. anyway keep the videos coming!
It's common in quite a few European countries, although mostly for exposed pipes, after all copper is fairly easy to nail or drill through. Some countries use stainless press-fit for gas, it's easier to use than threaded or welded black pipe and still reasonably sturdy.
Hi Pete, I really want to see vertical flue installation in detail, if possible for you.
Maybe an upgrade of primaries would’ve been good practise for future installs. Normally 3 mediocre sized rads max per 15mm spur off.

Same here my 1st choice is viessmann , this would be the best fitment for this house as it can modulate down to very low heat output
How far do you travel. For example change all rads in four bed house or something similar to this job. I’m in Bedfordshire.

You fitted a boiler that you can’t range rate in a small house ? So it’s wasting loads of gas and energy ? How many kw is it ?
Try intergas. Worth it price and quality
Do you take work in Leicester?
Are they up sizing the rads for 55C/35C flow/return so the boiler will actually condense? I f not then that boiler will just sit around 85% efficient most of it's life.
Grow up.
55 is fine for a condensing boiler in terms of the condensing efficiency. 35-40 is what you would be aiming at if fitting a heat pump. However for the boiler without good modulation and weather compensation it will spend a lot of time cycling on and off and thermal cycling is damaging in the longer term.
@@paullbennett2923 55 flow and 35 return is perfectly normal for a condensing boiler.

Probably not priced for a re pipe mate. Cost of copper gone right up so can’t just do it and take the hit on the job
