I'm a brand new subscriber from Bath, Maine, USA. I'm not a plumber but an old retired carpenter who takes a lot of pride in my work. I'd be pleased to have you work on my jobs. I am amazed at the differences the way the boiler set-up is done between here and there. I'm actually looking at installing a Bosch Greenstar in my own house.
The quality of your pipe fitting is appropriate for this lovely boiler and shows the pride you take in your job. Many heating engineers don't make this effort when the pipes are on show in a kitchen so I can only imagine what a state they would leave an airing cupboard in! Keep up the good work and I hope this helps to show that people do really notice a quality job.
I'm going with late 80's for what you ripped out, as that was the later incarnation of the WM/BF looking at the case and gasvalve . I do recall them being heavy when struggling to hang on the wall over a kitchen worktop....... The Hotrod or salamander microversion was used when a customer on a budget couldn't run to a new lagged indirect cylinder, I used to put a 22mm gate valve on the return and throttle it back, this gave a much better heat output to DHW. The silver tube and compression fittings was used during a copper pipe shortage! There was a small estate of bungalows near us built at this time done with this stuff, in later years we had to do lots leaks there. This was due to the pipe rotting off as it went into the brass comp fitting, electrolysis IIRC. Tidy job, nice to see a young plumber with a bit of pride in his work which sadly seems a rare occurrence in my area.
Please more of these boiler installs. I’m close to passing my ACS and the thought of boiler installs is giving me stress but you make it look possible.
Sorry, on 10:02 you pan up to show a valve jig or something attached to the wall. Is this nessesary, or just something to make things neat? It's not the same as a stand off & it's also not a hagning plate (standard) . So why use one & is it worth it? Please let me know, thanks.
Very professional job! Just a few concerns the use of old dirty flow pipe and cleaning it out to use as Gas pipe, how do you do that and get water all out? Secondly, PRV , the use of the Tundish teed into condensate….has the tundish had the return valve removed?
Nice job on that one mate, your pipework puts mine to shame. I would of liked to of seen how you lined up the flue in the loft though to exit out of that wall I'm assuming laser.
Just had our old 1996 installed Potterton heat only boiler replaced with a WB 8000 system boiler and pressurised system. Say what you want about how efficient these condensing boilers are but have to say the WB 8000 heat output is poor in comparison to our old Potterton. Didnt have the Potterton serviced at all in the first 10 years and was never set at more than 4 in winter. Maximum setting was 6 on the dial. Had very hot water and you couldnt touch the rads when they were on. Despite the WB being set at 68 degrees, the 'hot' water is just warm and the rads, you can hold your hands on them for 30 seconds before it becomes uncomfortable. Cost 3 grand installed by a WB approved installer. They did a good job but frankly, I wish id left the Potterton in until it gave up the ghost. Think I'll be lucky to get 25 years out of the WB and that's having it serviced every year as well.
I would be gobsmacked to find an old open vent system not dumping more debris than you showed. Possibly poor chemical ? Or relying on boiler pump and magnacleanse ? do you not think debris could be damaging suvh an expensive boiler ? A power flush or radiator removal would give you confirmation.
why can I never get a professional like this a lot of service guys just want to do the quick job,,great installation nice and tidy ,I note you said you had a 40 minute drive to the job so I presume dublin Ireland would be off the cards
Nice touches with the brass clips and ply but puts more cost on the job and most people are looking at the prise so you could be pricing yourself out of work
Lovely neat installation! nice to see people take pride in their work, nice straight pipework and pipe clips but the boiler itself?? I wouldn’t fit a worshitter Bosch boiler again and I haven’t done in the last 15 years I’m glad to see the back of them !
Your man's prob him a say not 300 below change of direction at Tundish.for company I work for it would need Id tape on gas,All pipes lagged and more clips on flue but that's all going a bit ott for a normal domestic install.yours is a good job
unbelievably good quality just like my work i love to see someone who takes pride in their work well done mate
Gavin.. thank you very much !

That's awesome how the overflow pipe and condensate are both integrated. Been recently learning how a boiler works

Or how much a customer is willing to pay for a great gas boiler instal.
Really Nice job so much better with brass clips . Great job nice to see some companies still take pride in their work
Lovely neat job - something to be really proud of. Respect ✊👍👏
Mate great work I would have it in my living room and just watch that all day

Thank you so much !

Neat install and great video, fairplay mate 👍
Great work as always in your vids keep it up mate 👏
Nice job on that one mate, your pipework puts mine to shame. I would of liked to of seen how you lined up the flue in the loft though to exit out of that wall I'm assuming laser.
Jobs great, but an 8000 necessary for the size of property? Looks quite small?
Beautiful
Another great job bro 👊🏽
Great stuff buddy
nice install :)
Quality, great job.
Great work there fair play..

Hi jus a quick one could you explain what the conversion fittings/adaptor you used for the Prv pipe to the pvc pipe thanks
Great video
why can I never get a professional like this a lot of service guys just want to do the quick job,,great installation nice and tidy ,I note you said you had a 40 minute drive to the job so I presume dublin Ireland would be off the cards
Hi buddy these boilers are really heavy think 40kg do you use the screw that come with pack or do you use your own if so what size screw thanks
cracking job nice and neat
Thought you weren’t allowed prv into 21.5?
Lovely install, how come you didn’t go with a horizontal flue kit?
He did 🤷🏻♂️
Do Worcester recommend / insist on power flushing out like on their oil boilers ?
considering doing this, what would be the expected cost?
Чувак походу урвал большую партию данных котлов, теперь везде их монтирует)))
Ну теперь жильцы оценят качество проточной воды во всей красе.
Top notch.
I’m looking at a similar job at my home what’ sort of price am I looking at
What was the reason for moving to the airing cupboard and not keeping it in the garage? Cheers
Hi, garage was taken down and rebuilt in to a big kitchen
Thanks, almost identical job here, trying to decide whether to leave in same place or move to airing cupboard. Thanks for the video
What consumer unit did they have 8000 life’s need red protection for ac and dc and most aren’t up to scratch yet
Hi Will amazing job! Have you put the prv into a tundish then into the condensate drain?
Really nice work. What type of plastic is the condensate and the D2 pipe? I don't know of any 22mm plastic pipe suitable for a D2 pipe.
Quality job mate. One thing tho. I would have fitted the tundish at least 300mm above the T joint 👍
Nice touches with the brass clips and ply but puts more cost on the job and most people are looking at the prise so you could be pricing yourself out of work
Why do you never power flush wen fitting a new boiler.
Looks really good, will you lag the pipes?
Nice work how long do you allow for this type of installation
3 days matey
Great work. But I would choose the CDI over the 8000 any day far better build quality
Neat 🎉
Excellent 👍👍👍🌹🌹
Didn’t know you were allowed to put discharge into the condense, was always taught to run seperwte
Lovely neat installation! nice to see people take pride in their work, nice straight pipework and pipe clips
but the boiler itself?? I wouldn’t fit a worshitter Bosch boiler again and I haven’t done in the last 15 years
I’m glad to see the back of them !
Thank you Salim ! Due to where im based the Bosch boiler does get picked, I think you’d like the new range ! Have you seen one ?
Plate still at the back🤯
What was that connected to the bottom of the blow off
Mc alpine tun dish
@@hartleyheatingandplumbing9801 great job by the way. Really neat and simple you have a new sub from me keep it up
Tidy job mate.
Nice installation but you did not show the flue complete route
Where can you get a 12 year warranty? Can only find a 10 year warranty online...
Hi there ! If a Bosch accredited engineer installs it you can then get 12 years
I wonder if trolls are out der putting dislikes on other ppls work for no reason.
Nice installation but there's is one thing which isn't within regulations. Have a guess
What’s that ?
Your man's prob him a say not 300 below change of direction at Tundish.for company I work for it would need Id tape on gas,All pipes lagged and more clips on flue but that's all going a bit ott for a normal domestic install.yours is a good job
@@leecrawford8039 thank you mate !! Very kind 🙌🏻🙌🏻
See wb couldn’t be bothered rectifying the flow turbine adapter issue.
Top draw 👍🏿
Great job as always. If they need it servicing next year for warranty drop me a DM on Instagram of your too far away 👍🏻
