Cut the pipes on the horizontal keep it simple, no one will thank you for the extra work, as long as it looks tidy it will be fine, good work PB. Regards Al.
Thanks PB👍I recently had a customer with a very dirty system on 10mm and 8am. Decided to take all 12 rads off and hose em thru outside rather than push all the muck thru the pipes. Exhausting day!
When we first fitted combination boilers back in the 80s, we would fit a drain off under the boiler on the flow, we could then isolate the boiler and use the filling loop to wash the system through. Fit it on a compression fitting and you could swap it over onto the return at the filling loop connection to flush it back to the return from the flow. Never needed any kind of machine. But lets be fair, it was the 80s. All a bit basic back then. Cold flush, hot flush and dose with inhibitor was the order of the day.
Based on this mornings session I just cant lift heavy 🤣, tweaked my minor pec rh side on 4th of january when the gyms shut again... I've torn it before so really cautious now! Bit of light work for a while

Good video, better than the demos I have watched on the thorough flush, a real life situation is always best. Heard of a few people just sticking the magnets in a bucket and have the outlet hose drain through that so the customers can actually see what crap you got out the system! Maybe this is the way forward just do small live streams then no time wasted editing your video's 👍
Nice, I just missed the live feed. just waking up in the Americas, gonna go do a copper slab leak 👍 . Did you go to school to learn what you do or from experience/ apprenticeship?
@@PBPlumber cheers don't mean to be a pain case you to do forget also a external expansion tank on a combi boiler because after being in a different career for 24 years the government will retrain me as a plumber I've learnt more of your video than most of the lecturer who just seem to want to pass you no matter what
Wondering why the Boiler was fitted so..so.. close to Electrical in Coming Mains and distribution Panel by the Original Installer...I suppose it's now up to your good self to try make the best out of a difficult Job... even relocating on the adjacent wall may have been a bit of a bodge looking with the exhaust flue transiting across that little room, to use the quote,"You have been truly backed into a Corner," could you give us a Heads Up the nice manifold system that you're using @ 4mins -15 Secs in...Really ...Great Upload....
This video is helpful to me, thanks. Have you used the Kamco Machine? Just that the way you're handling the pipes, they seem light, flexible easy to manoeuvre. If you have used Kamco, what would you prefer out of the two?
Redo it all , you know you will anyway !, bloody pipes everywhere !! . Separate your work from previous at a strategic point . So any future faults will identify as previous work . 😊
Great stuff, do you get to keep the expansion vessel and old pipe work, or do you leave it with the customer. How do you decide which type/make of boiler to fit, don’t give up on us.Thanks for making these videos 👍👍.
Great video PB, please don’t stop making them for us mate! Personally I would have power flushed it but that’s just me . also with the boiler choice do you decide to fit which ever boiler you want ? Or does the customer choose ?I now more or less fit viessmann boilers last 10 years and I found them very good & The customers love the the low gas consumption & quiet running what do you reckon of them?
Would you say main pressure cleaning is better than a powerflush? I use a kamco cf90 but this device looks so much easier and I find the machine runs at 1.5bar of pressure so having this set on 2-3bar would be good. Plus can flush and dump without the need to keep topping up the water pressure.
do you need to do a combustion air calc make sure gas burner gets enough air in oz we gotta be carefull sorry just thought you use coaxial flue so we call room sealed often boilers outside too
Interesting unit> But those flexi tap conector hoses must restrict those 3/4" bore hose pipes that come with it....... I might knock up a homebrewed rig out of 22mm lever valves, plus whatever else is knocking about and try the concept. Cheers. :-)
Well it's interesting 2 me as not seen it done before.. And for what it's worth cut pipes where they are and renew. You don't need a masterpiece in a cupboard really.... Shut door job
Power flush machine with its own pump + chemical and hot flush is far quicker than this. This may help if you don’t have space then this would work I guess.
Jesus all day on a Sunday to do a bit of editing could be out doing a few breakdowns deffo make more cash the YT are giving you ? each to their own mate

Superb video PB first time I've watched how the Thoroughflush works, alot simpler than I thought cheers! 👌

I’ve never used thorough flush. Thanks for the video.

Hi PB its great to see you have a few Milwaukee tools and accessories, keep up the great work mate.
Loved my first morning back at the gym, up at 5am, life felt normal again for a while 👍
I have to train at night I can’t lift as heavy without a days worth of food in me

I was wondering The pressure of main water is enough to clean pipes and power flush with cold water? 👍🏼

How much are those flushing kits looks like it worked really well and a lot let mess in arroind than a power flush

How would you set up the Thoroughflush on an open vented system? Obviously you’d need to seal it, but which is the preferred/recommended way?
Do you take the air out the rad's ?
Bleed screws are not on the ends but on the top sides. How would you free up a stuck bleed? Thanks
Did you insert a cleanser prior to the flush?
Can you just pick up the heating pump to do a powerflush?
Ran out of clips when they fit the old one did they?
Do you do work in Derbyshire i.e back boiler out combi in ??? 12/04/2021.
What area in Derbyshire as I’m based near Leicester
@@PBPlumber just off junction 28 m1
How would you free up a stuck air bleed on a radiator?
Can you use the mains flush on an oil cental heating system
What do you call that flush tool you used and where can you get one
Nice video thanks
Mate you need to find someone to edit your videos for you cant believe you are doing that by yourself!
This is just a 4 way valve?
Get someone else to edit for you. Great content 👍🏻

I’d cut it on the left and just pick it up from there. I’m no master pipe bender however.
Where to get these mains flush parts?
What's the point of doing a magazine cleans with this system as all the water is going to waste? It is not recirculating with any chemical cleaner
Where would you put inhibitor
Dose an empty rad....refill
Why can sell gear tee shirts. Your good.
👍🤓👍
You need a holiday
Love ur vids but please stop wearing such tight T-shirts’ ffs😂
It’s a large! 😂
That flushing device would use a lot of water powerflushing machines use less
Powerflush is more time consuming
@@mynameis9739 what u mean time consuming its quicker than this flushing method and less water usage
Don't see the point in using this over powerflush I suppose initial cost is the only advantage

That gas valve shouldn’t come in on soldered copper ( a fire risk ) report it to cadent!!!
