    Watching these videos at 1.5x speed is unreal, especially the soundtrack in the background

    I have this exact lift on my 2022 Ram 1500 Off Road 4x4.. It is great. The 35s fit great and the ride quality is still good. Even at highway speeds. Now I just need to fix the speedometer. It is off by 6 mph at 70, 5 mph at 55.

      @@mr.a_runsultras7530 I have 35 x 11.5 inch wide tires. The 12.5s would rub without a spacer. Keep that in mind also.

      @@hcshorty10 I don't run one on this truck. The 11.5 inch tires don't rub. I did on my 17 Rubicon though. I can't remember the company. My local shop recommended them. I would definitely recommend the most hard core spacer you can find. It is better to buy a heavy duty American made spacer than to have a wheel break off at 70 on the highway.

      Is it still holding up? I’ve seen some ball joint failures on the some post with the readylift upper control arm. I think I’m going to run the 2” readylift.

  • @rpittman4778
    @rpittman4778 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    You now have a 4.5” lift. A little extreme for the axles and front end components.

    Why does readylift say to leave out the spacer on Ram Rebels but she uses a Ram Rebel in this install???

  • @greghinchley6277

    Great Tutorial. I like the lift but on non rebels I would want the Bilstein's on 4 corners. Instructor is easy on the 👀's 😉.

    The full 3.5" kit is not meant to be installed on Ram Rebel or trucks equipped with the Off-Road Group. As someone else in the comments mentioned, you now have 4.5" of lift in the front instead of 3.5", which is too much on the front suspension geometry without a differential drop/relocation kit.

    • @darrenhenson6669

      Why did Readylift tell me that it would fit my 2021 Rebel. I had it installed about a month ago with larger tires (295/60/20) and it rides a little tougher but when. I hit large bumps on the road it feels like it bottoms out?

    • @Aford4322
      @Aford4322 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@darrenhenson6669Not sure why they said it was OK considering it is mentioned on their website that it is not to be used with ORG/Rebel trucks. This topic has been discussed ad nauseum on the 5thgenrams forums. The rough ride can be attributed to the pre-load spacer and the significantly reduced downtravel in the suspension from running 1" taller springs (standard on Rebel) combined with the Readylift preload and tophat spacers.

    • @darrenhenson6669
      @darrenhenson6669 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You cannot install the front spacers or it will ride very rough, I see what you are talking about now but when I was watching the videos I only found one video that said to not install the front spacers after I had it installed on my truck. I have wasted about $2k now on installation.

    • @Aford4322
      @Aford4322 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Matt Kistner No, you are incorrect. This debate was settled on the 5thgenram forums almost 4 years ago. If you use the Rebel coil springs (or coil springs from the ORG), the RL preload spacer, and the RL top hat spacer, you will get approximately 4.5" in the front. Even on Readylift's website, they say don't use the full kit on Rebel or ORP b/c of this reason. They recommend the user to leave out one of the spacers.

      I know this is old but I got a response from Readylift saying to measure from the center hub up to the fender. If the measurement is 22 or greater, don’t use the preload spacer. If less, use the preload spacer.

    They use the stock rear shocks. At least Rough country includes the rear shocks which is a must for a 3 5" lift.

    • @cruzzindodge
      @cruzzindodge 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Not needed on the rebel... rebel has bilstein struts with remote reservoir shocks on the rear. The RC shocks would be a down grade.

    You cannot install this lift kit on a 2021 RAM Rebel without it rubbing & it causes a very bad vibration over rough spots in road the whole truck vibrates.

    Unfortunately, I went on to get this lift done to my truck (2022 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4) and it turned out to be quite unpleasant. While the lift kit does provide a nice leveling, it performs extremely poor on regular city streets and highways, plus it does not offer off-roading benefit. This kit if for someone that does not care about quality ride. I ended up going for a 4 -inch lift pair with the best shocks.

      @@drewgalante472 yes, i took pictures of that, there is no apparent solution, that i know of the admin of this video deleted my original post. There is a little triangle shape that rubs with the control arm and the knuckle A buddy of mine just said to leave it alone, or just be vigilant of full turns, I also found a forum, aa few people with same issue but nobody provided a solution, so conclusion si that 3.5 INCH LIFTS with ram 1500 5th generation will have that , unless they come up with and aftermarket arm that is shaped different . I hoped @american trucks woudl provide some answers.

    This kit does not fit in 19-present ram 1500. The front knuckles will rub agains the front springs and were down the springs. In the video you can clearly see the when turning wheel lock to lock that it binds. Have contacted sst about it and they said to take off kit and no other solution was given. Not recommended!
