      Does the truck sit level front to rear ? Or is it nose heavy ? Because it looks like the rear lift is higher

    Why not show the driver side UCA install thats the hardest side. I ended up taking a grinder to the bushing on the UCA bolt cause i couldnt get it to come out even after bending alot in the inner fender and engine bay. The install isnt easy as these videos so be prepared

      Yup. I bought two extra long bolts. Cut the heads off, put them in the other direction.

      @@tribulation138 you cant easily put them in the other direction as one side has threads on the side of the holder, it would have to be slightly smaller diameter.

    Just to add a bit here. The long bolts for the upper control arm do not easily pass up into the engine bay. The side wall you can see is bent up in the video he does not show that but its clear it was done. Also the inside fender wall on the inside of the engine bay especially on the drives side makes it very difficult definitely you will have to use a hammer and a pry bar to bang it and push it past the frame, after you get it out you can grind off the bolts washer flange and it goes back a lot easier, other than that every thing is exactly right, your steering control arms came off a lot easier than mine though.

    Is the front and back both lifted 3.5" with this ?

    How much does it lift the back?

    Another “mechanic “that remove the tie rod to get the shock out.
    Only three bolts need to come off the front end to get the front suspension out, the two arm to lower spindle bolts and the one swaybar linkage bolt to the spindle. That’s all that needs to come out to get the front suspension out and back into these things.
    This also goes for the 4runner

    will this rub at all if you remove that front plastic part under the front end

    • @bg90209
      @bg90209 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, definitely remove that part. It’s easy and it makes the truck look WAY higher in the front. They just put it there to increase gas mileage on paper.

    On this 3.5 lift what size of wheel and Tire can I run? I have the cab mount chopped and have already did some trimming , some plastic and hammering on the pinch welds ect, what will be the widest tire can I get away with, would like 12.50, tire of the pizza cutters tires. I'm running 285s 70 16 Gladiator MT tires, on stock wheels. Thank you for any info you can give me.

    Is there a 4” lift kit similar to this one?

    I bought the 3.5in lift kit from rough country for my Tacoma, it’s the $800 one. It didn’t come with the differential washers. Do I still need to make a cut on the bracket for the differential? Or is it fine to leave like that?

    • @jimdotdev
      @jimdotdev 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am looking at these kits, but I would say no. If you don't have the spacer, don't cut the diff bracket. I seen one without the spacer, but I worried that is it not over extending your cv's?

      I did this 3.5 lift on mine. I have the 265/75/16 a lot of room for 33s
      I don’t think it will rub with 33s but that’s the biggest you can go I think. Just be aware, the vibration issue did come up on mine.

    • @Matt-Ellis
      @Matt-Ellis 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve got this on my 2017 TRD Off-road with SCS F5 rims. They have a -38mm offset and rubbed a little bit, this is with a 33 inch tire. So my guess is it only rubs because of the offset.

      @@kevinromero3990what’s the vibration issue? I havent watched the whole video haha

    • @kevinromero3990
      @kevinromero3990 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bg90209 I think it’s because of the lift, the angles of the driveshaft, and front differential changes. So therefore the angles of the CVaxles change. You have to replace the clamshell bushing.
      The vibration I got was from 30 mph until stop. If you wonder how it feels, it’s feels exactly like when you go over the limit line in the highway. “Rumble strips” I believe they’re called. That’s exactly how it feels.
      Only the driver side is the issue though.
      You can read about it on google “Tacoma world”

      @@bg90209front driver side clamshell bushing fails. (Don’t actually brakes, it is not designed for the axle to have more angle Than the factory lift) so it provokes vibration. 7:38

    • @kevinromero3990

      Yes but you don’t need a diff drop washers since you don’t have a front differential.
