Ram 3.5" ReadyLIFT

  • When I bought this truck new, I immediately put a Rough Country 2" leveling kit on it against better youtube judgment. They were right! I got roughly 16,000 miles or so out of the bearing assembly (upper control arm) before it failed and started to squeak. I left the pre-load spacers from the Rough Country kit and purchased the SST ReadyLIFT 2" kit with the new upper control arms. Their 3.5" kit would have come with the 2" pre-load spacer anyways so I thought why waste the money, parts, and labor of removing the junk from Rough Country. Here are the links to the items I have bought: www.amazon.com...
    www.roughcount...
I see they changed their design since I bought it. Mine are a welded steel spacer as seen in the video. Since the ReadyLIFT true 3.5" kit would have come with spacers for the rear, I was on a quest to also find spacers for the rear that I could purchase separately. These are listed as not comparable with the 2019, but they worked just fine on my truck. www.amazon.com...
I hope you like the video. I am not a professional obviously, so go easy on me! I try to get back with answers to questions very quickly so please don't hesitate.

Seriously this is the best lift setup. The tires alone if you do 35's lift it 3 inches since stock tires are about 32 inches high. Then you got a 3.5 inch lift. So easily rounded down about 6 inches total. Best stance man and very sick Ram.

L W, I just traded the truck in since the value was stupid high, but I’ll recap the last year here for ya. I had absolutely zero issues with the lift and tires. I trade it in around 40k miles. The tires were wearing even and maybe a little more quickly than I wanted but that’s the nature of a mud tire. I had about half the tread left after 23k on them. I was able to keep an eye on the upper control arm and make sure it was greased every other oil change. The truck certainly rode harsher than stock but I knew this going into it. I do believe that I should have replaced the strut with a longer one because I felt most of my harsh ride was when suspension was fully extended (like over a RR Track) or on the up rebound of the suspension. I am looking into SST for the Chevy but I’m afraid of the crap I’m reading about the axles not being long enough and that a true lift is in order to keep geometry best. Hope this helps. Shoot me any questions you have sir.

The ready lift 3.5” kit is essentially a 2” leveling kit with the new control arms and a preload spacer to get you to 3.5” total. I already had the 2” rough country 2” preload spacer. Check other videos to see what I mean. Sorry for the delay. Didn’t see a notification on this comment sir.

Do your tires poke out much?

Morgan Bradley not really. Would actually like it better if they did. They are out like 3/4” maybe at the most.

Andrew France Would you ever go up to 35s?

RD32792 not on this lift. It would fill the wheel wells too much and look funky. Just my opinion tho.

Andrew France I still think it looks great though. I’ve got the same truck, and this video made me decide to go for a 3.5” lift

RD32792 excellent! Glad I could help. The 2” video I posted would be a decent reference in your install. The rear is pretty self explanatory once you jack it up. Loosening the bolts they suggest on the installation paperwork is a must. I tried to shortcut it and ended up just loosening anyways and wasting time.
