I beat Resident Evil Village using only the LIGHTSABER

- So in Resident Evil Village, you can unlock an actual lightsaber. This isn't a mod, this is in the actual game! So I played through the whole game with just the lightsaber - or as it's formally titled, the "LZ Answerer", which is the worst name for a lightsaber ever.

Just a couple things to clarify, for the sake of my sanity:
1. This was streamed live on Twitch on 5/20, so it's a couple weeks old. Also if you want to see my entire run of getting SS ranks on Mercenaries, that's on the Twitch channel! There's also my Village of Shadows run and other achievement hunting. The VODs are permanently available. I don't currently have any plans to put them on TH-cam. Unless there is DLC, this is my last planned RE Village video.
2. I played through the entire game with melee weapons for the rarest RE Village achievement called "Knives Out", which doesn't allow you to hit any enemies with a ranged weapon. So that's why a couple times in the video I ask things like "can I pipe bomb this?" because I wanted to make sure it wouldn't ruin the attempt for the achievement.

I was hoping they would add a voice line for Lady Dumitrescu when you have a lightsaber equipped, something like "Don't try it Ethan, i have the high ground" would be nice.

Ethan: I killed them all...every single one of them.......and not just the men....but the women and the children, too!
Finally the 8th part to Resident Evil 8's playthrough.
I saw another video where someone was so disappointed at the lightsaber damage level that they genuinely got angry, this should be fun
I’ve gotta say that watching this on Twitch was absolutely hilarious. People were so confused as to what he was doing. I could not stop laughing.

It’s not something you’d find in any database from S.T.A.R.S., BSAA, or even Umbrella, it's an urban myth.
Darth Winters was a dark lord of the Sith. So powerful, so unstoppable that he unwittingly uses the Mold inside him to give him... life. He had such a power over the mold itself, so much that he could keep himself... From dying.
The dark side of the Mold is a pathway to many abilities. Some considered to be unnatural.
He unwittingly became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his family and loved ones, which he kind of did. Unfortunately, after rescuing his infant daughter, he sacrificed himself to destroy a great threat.
How ironic... He fought through many monsters to save his family, but couldn't save himself...

My favourite part of the Sequels was when Chris was forced to kill Wesker in the fiery pits of Mustafar. It’s so sad, they were like brothers before Wesker was corrupted

I mean, there is no reason to play hard, why would you NOT go and do VOS mode after a normal playthrough if you were planning on using NO new game plus weapons, so playing hard would not even give you an edge. Since if I'm correct beating hard gives you a magnum that uses sniper ammo, which like I said John wouldn't have even used. And yes John *DID* give up and used infinite ammo, (which if you ask me, I think was kinda dumb, I was able to beat VOS with only like 5-6 deaths using non-infinite ammo new game plus weapons, but its his way of playing so who cares) but even if he had used no infinite ammo why would he even want that magnum, it kinda sucks.
I did VOS when I finally unlocked infinite ammo for the Wolfsbane.....it helped a lot since I'm on console :
@@timothyt666 i got that gun without beating hard mode? wiki says hardcore. but im sure its hardcore or higher. i did village of shadows and then did knife only and no heal using my LZ it was so easy. im sure i also got the speedrun cheevo. cuz i didnt do any side stuff. i went straight to miranda.
I'm glad the developers made sure to make you feel like all those mercenaries missions were worth it
Man it's so good to see a good RE player who actually went and got SS ranks and the extra content.
Cheevo quirks:
- Don't Trust that Snake Oil: You can use the green saber, it won't break the cheevo. Green saber also heals you if you hit inactive Soldats and animals.
- Knives Out: Don't damage any enemy except with a melee weapon (knife, other knife, lightsaber.) You can do what you like to animals, treasures, environmental pieces, windows, and locks. It is not possible to fight Cassandra without blowing up the wall via pipe bomb, or to fight Heisenberg without using the tank, or to fight Miranda without shooting the glowing ball over her head. You may not use Chris's Target Locator (which, incidentally, looks identical to the lightsaber.)
Incidentally? They knew exactly what they were doing.

Man, I really want to watch John play Lisa: The Pointless. I watched him play Painful way back, and it got me into this entire series, and him as a TH-camr. In fact, it was the first Let’s Play that really made me tear up and sad.
The Pointless is an amazing fangame with horror elements that John would love, hope someone out there agrees

John is that one good friend you will never watch Lord of the Rings with since he knows ALL sentences by heart and will prove it to you everytime he gets the chance xD
I was hoping he'd include the house where he fights Donna and Angie, but I understand why he didn't. John wanted to only include the parts where he used the lightsaber, which makes sense. And you don't actually fight the giant baby, I don't think, you just have to run away from it. (Spoiler: It is just a hallucination, after all.) But I gotta say, my favorite part of this video was John's impression of Elmo. Love it!
"This is Joson," the radio crackered. "You must fight the demons!"

The 4 Lords of theater...Beneviento would be props & costuming. Moreau would probably be construction crew & maybe if they needed a tree or monster character with few or no speaking lines. Lady D is the 2nd to the lead character of which Mother Miranda always gets. Heisenberg would probably be the special effects & lighting. And, LMAO at the "Googly Elmo" impersonation!!! XD

So in short for the Lightsaber:
Red = Mega Damage.
Blue = Shield Block (no damage while guarding)
Green = Healing.
That's a cool concept if you ask me. :D

I could imagine in the DLC where you play as Rose, you get given a Lightsaber and you are told it was your fathers, an elegant weapon from a more civilized age.
