As a wife/gf of a driving enthusiast, my partner will have two options: learn to drive stick or sign a prenup. Both are demonstration enough that she's with me because she loves who I am.
I'm guessing this is built on Corolla platform. So why not put the GR Corolla powertrain in this and call it the, I don't know, UXF. Lower the ride height, none of those SUV looks. Let it be a real hot-hatch with a bit of luxury sprinkled in. That would be a chef kiss.
It certainly does sound noisy. I wonder if he's got a window open? Or if it's a course chip road surface? I test drove a 250 a few months ago, and it was pretty quiet.
I love the looks and I love the features like the power adjustable steering wheel and the ventilated seats. But for the price there are far better options. I could only see someone buying this if they want some luxury but live in a high rise condo with a tiny parking spot.
lol for a small car, a 360 cam is not necessary or even a useful option unless you’re a terrible driver, in which case, I’d argue you should be on a bicycle instead. People have been driving without 360 cams for a long time and it is possible to avoid catastrophe without one.

The road noise takes away the refinement

I think a used BMWx5 40i would be good for your girlfriend and mom. You should review one of those...
LOL it’ll be published some time in 2024
