Thank you , best instruction on PGJ 's on youtube !
Echoing other comments, this allowed me to set up the sprinkler exactly the way I needed.
Excellent video! Way better than the Hunter video. Perfect for a complete noob like me! Has all the basics allowed me to get my sprinklers dialed in.
Thank you. You simplified the explanation for how to adjust these. Hunter makes these needlessly confusing.
You did an excellent job on this. Better than the Hunter guy.
Very infomative. You made it easy to understand comparing with Hunter's video. I just saved this video for future reference. Thank you so much.
Great vid, super detail, I had no idea there was a filter down in there, tysm!!
great explain, I was able to ajust Hunter sprinkler head after watching this video
Thank you for the video. Well explained!
Thank you so much! I followed your instructions today and great result.
Very helpful, thanks!
Great explanation, thanks.
Vary informative
Nice one. Thanks.
Brillant Thank you
Thank you!
Thanks for posting the video! I just bought the PGJ at Home Depot and it doesn't come with the Hunter Wrench. You can't buy one there either. Am I missing something here? I need this to adjust the sprinkler, right? People have stolen the wrenches off of the side of the PGP at the store.
Sad 😞 yes you need this
It is VERY inconvenient that Hunter sprinklers are aligned right because the landscape subcontractor just dropped them in the ground and moved on to the next house.....leaving me to have to dig them up to make that right alignment adjustment. It would be much better if they simply made a sprinkler head where 90 degrees was the max and you could narrow the angle as needed.
They make that
Can you make it so it will not rotate? I adjusted it down but it still goes maybe 10 degrees. Can I gut the innards? Just have a thin strip to Irrigate.
how efficient is the spray curtain on hunter pgj sprinkler. where would the most water be delivered on a spray distance of 30', the last 5' (say 25-30') or would it be delivered evenly from the sprinkler to 30'? also what brand or model would spray the most even curtain up to 30'? thanks
All heads are designed for even distribution the entire spray distance with proper installation and water pressure is also a key factor.
Thx
Do you have a video on how to install a rain sensor to the control box?
We don't yet but thank you for the suggestion. Essentially you will run the wire to one of the terminals that say "REM" above the terminal, then place the rains sensor outside on the gutter or such where it will be exposed to rainfall. Adjust clock setting accordingly to turn off when it rains.
On the pgp you can take off the cap and can you do that on pgj and pjp ultra
I’ve never have needed to. Let us know how it helps you. Thanks!
I cannot get the hex screw to sit in the nozzle screw. Idk if there’s dirt covering it up but it’s driving me crazy.
Could be that, also could be stripped out
Hi, my new Hunter pgp ultra head doesn’t seem to have the right stop. When I twisted it to the right, it just kept going and going. When I installed it, it goes 360 degrees. How do I set right stop until it clicks and lock to place?
Make sure you don’t have a full circle model. Those will continuously turn in circles and can’t be changed. If that’s not the case, the gears could be stripped and it needs replaced.
Where do you see a plus and a minus sign on this sprinkler head? Did you mean right arrow means plus and left arrow means minus?
Clockwise turn will increase (+) rotation or arc of head and counter-clockwise with decrease (-) rotation or arc of head.
My left adjustment spot seems like there’s nothing there for the tool to lock into. Would you suggest replacing it?
Maybe filler with dirt or stripped. Replacing it may be your best / easiest solution
@@thesprinklerchannel ended up replacing two heads. The piece the tool fit in was completely gone (comparing it to the new heads at least). Wouldn’t surprise me if they were like that when the builder put them in. Thanks for the content
The arc adjustment screw head is wallowing out,so how do you disasemble the head to replace the screw??????
At this point, I would be replacing the head for $10 to avoid spending an hour trying to get it out.
@@thesprinklerchannel yes, I agree, I was hoping there might be a quick trick to this problem,,,,OH by the way,,,the hunter heads at our local LOWES are closer to $ 30.00,,,,,thanks....
What do you think the problem is if the sprinkler is not rotating ?
Internal gears are worn out. Replacement needed.
Maybe the water is not turned on?
Can you adjust the head for faster rotation?
There is not unfortunately.
Gears may be worn from adjusting right stop in correctly. ( turning whole stem instead of removing head assembly
Have no idea how to stop it from rotating 360 to only 90
Ensure you don’t have full circle heads - they can only do 360
@@thesprinklerchannel thank u I just got the tool mixed up i put the hexagon end of the tool in the rotation end instead of the other end of the tool
I did the same 😂
Is it possible to damage the head by doing these steps wrong? What should be careful NOT to do?
I would be careful not to make adjustments if all you hear or when you hear gears clicking or ratcheting. Should be a smooth process when adjusting.
@@thesprinklerchannel My problem is that the subs who installed my sprinklers didn't do the right alignment. Now I would have to dig them up to adjust them properly.
Thanks very much for making this video. Much appreciated.
