Would love you to do an episode by episode series on ALL of DS9 like you did with TNG.
I’m loving that so much.
This is the only reason I'm still subscribed to this channel, hoping they would do what they did with TNG with every other Star Trek franchise. I live in hope.
Would be great!
let the poor guys rest!! im sure they’ll get around to it someday but they haven’t even gone thru the TNG movies yet.
Yes!
you might as well just unsubscribe then, because they already stated that it's not happening. They might do season by season review though@@TrasherBiner
I would totally be down to listen to these as podcasts. I genuinely take the recommendations you guys give and listen/read/watch/play new stuff based on what you guys end up doing, even some of the stuff you guys don’t end up recommending if it sounds interesting enough.
I quite like season 1 of deep space nine. Yeah there are some goofy moments, but that's true for every season of Trek. But overall I enjoyed it.
S3 it perks up, s4 is the best trek. So I'm glad to hear you gonna keep going
While there are some standout early episodes, for the most part I consider acquisition of the Defiant to be the real start of this show.
Midsummer was one of the funniest films i've ever seen.
The cliff/big hammer scene and the old lady getting railed with the guys a rse bouncing up and down legitimately made me laugh out loud for ages in the cinema.
I've also never seen at least half the audience leave during a movie. They should have made it fully a black comedy. Whole thing was like monty python meets trauma.
Great video guys, hope you get the recognition/views you deserve soon.
Sisco is quite the dark character, aspecially towards the end of the series
Guys, I love you, I really do but to say that John Williams’ score to THE LOST WORLD is bland is just not a good take. This is arguably one of the greatest pure action scores not only written by John Williams but of all time. It is ferocious, suspenseful, dynamic and features a haunting new theme that fit perfectly within this film. The awe and wonder of Jurassic Park is gone and much like his score to The Empire Strikes Back, Williams approaches this score with darker more serious tones while at the same time understanding that there are still thrills to be enjoyed! It’s a sensational score that rivals the virtuosic writing of TEMPLE OF DOOM. I highly recommend you go back and re-watch and LISTEN to the Saving Sarah sequence and pay particular attention to how Williams complements Spielberg’s visuals and pacing and builds up the suspense with his score!
Thank you! After hearing that comment, I was about to say the same thing. It's a fantastic score. I don't get the criticism about the themes. They mention the Stegasaurous scene containing "dull music." What? It may not be as iconic as the Brochisaurious reveal in Jurassic Park, but Williams enhanced the scene with a graceful, magestic new theme for the creatures, which is stunning! The outright dismissisal of this score makes zero sense.
LMFAO... oh come on don't be such a funny daddy. That scene in the sewer with the kids you didn't want to mention.... that's just some more of that simple innocent "power of friendship" you were talking about.
I'm pretty sure they even specified that when they were rationalizing it LOL.
Dude that scene cracks me up.
...TO THIS DAY!
I do all my podcast listening on TH-cam, and that's also where we post our own podcast episodes.
I have no idea how people post the audio for their episodes on multiple platforms all at once.
Surprised you didn’t mention Idiocracy when talking about The Marching Morons - not identical but it sounds like there are a lot of similarities
Also great episode as always
3:13 DS9 science was generally much better and characters even more so
True, I laughed when he mentioned hoping doing more character development like Worf in TNG. Season 3 will solve that.
Angel you guys need to watch Angel and possibly 2005 Doctor Who
33:17 I'm surprised by this view point because a lot of people felt more immersed by this game specifically because the lack of provided story and the mute playable character. I'd personally have my own head story about what I was doing and why, and what my relationship was with the characters and quests. When I'm told in detail exactly what I'm doing and why I'm doing it and hear my character speak for me, things like that take me out of imagining myself in the world.
I get that. But the game focused so much on Link's past, which we were not part of. To me that made him feel like a character that already had a backstory that we were not able to connect to as much. But I can see how that could work for other people. --Robert
Paradise was a decent episode of DS9
Can I just quickly ask if you two ever saw the old Takeshi's Castle UK release? They dont overdub or anything, theres just a guy sort of MC-ing? I'd really recommend it
We have not. Thanks for the recommendation.
Gotta do deep space 9 or voyager
I hope you only dislike Vince Vaughn in jurassic park ad opposed to vince vaughn the treasured actor....
You guys should give the Russian movies Brother and Brother 2 a shot
Let me know if they make a Most Extreme Elimination Challenge version of the new seasons of that show. Because there's no way I'm watching some stupid subtitled Japanese crap..... cuz I have taste.
I had no idea the US version of Takeshi's Castle(what is was called here in the UK) was dubbed. Sounds awful!
Our version just had Craig Charles (a UK actor/DJ) commentating over the show with no dubbing whatsoever.
MXC is awesome. It isn’t presented as takeshi’s castle and is merely a vehicle to deliver sophomoric jokes
Sisko needs to be bald first before he gets good.
Please don't ever do a podcast, I don't listen to those. Keep your format the way it is now on TH-cam. I also enjoy the images you put up during your discussions, they really do help elaborate on your points. Love your channel!
