I went to see Sebastian a couple of years ago and he came out and let us know he was going to sing three songs to warm up, take a break and then come back out and kick our ass. He was true to his word. He sounded very close to his 90's peak. Very good show!
Sebastian Bach has a crazy range and such a powerful voice along with being able to command the stage. He is a legend. He has also done some on Broadway such as "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Jekyll and Hyde" and toured with "The Rocky horror Show". He is about as versatile as you can get.

It is metal enough when there's this thick substance beneath it for the structure. Metal gets allot a sh.... for sounding like noise but musically offers sometimes the very best/well rounded musicians that in many cases easely outshine the next populair pop artist.

Sebastian Bach has always been one of my all time favorite vocalists. I was fortunate enough to see Skid Row live several times and what a great live band! In A Darkened Room and Quicksand Jesus are both incredible tunes.
I don't know if anyone commented about this, but i was lucky to be backstage for a show. Sebastian used his 'warmup' as entertainment for the fans & crew. He started with 'Summer Breeze', worked through 6 or 7 other songs, and finished going note for note with the radio ...which i think was playing 'Sympathy for the Devil'. A very nice guy, and a very talented singer. I'm sorry that I didn't get to see him on Broadway.
I really wish you would react to "I Remember You (Official Musc Video)" as opposed to the live version. It has THE BEST sustained cry followed by the perfect way to resolve it with a "Yeah!". Much Love Xx

Sebastian sings through his heart and his gut. There's a technical term for that, right? His vibratto is on point. Strength. Range. Agility. Elasticity. Power. A f***ing powerhouse singing genius. He'd probably be the first person to tell you he doesn't know the first thing about technique but, rather, instinct. He's amazing. Love your videos!

The emotion on the vocals in this song is amazing ...you can hear the pain and desperation in his screams ..and that scene in the video he kneels down as he keeps on screaming the lyrics with a hurtful face ... holy shit ..amazing Song and Vid !!! ..it brings tears and pain to the people that identifies and may have someone close struggling with some kind of pain or agony and is unable to seek for help !! you would have to be dead not feel the emotion on this track..

Was wondering when you'd get to reviewing this song, Seb Bach had a bulletproof voice back in the day and this song showcased all his range. According to his book, he said something like he recorded these vocals and was pretty much exhausted vocally after, strained, and while James Hetfield of Metallica was watching in the studio, so wanted to prove to him and give it his all for the track. And I very much doubt protools was used to clean it up, unlike a lot of todays 'singers'
This song was about addiction and his friend who was the drummer in Guns and Roses and was fired for being addicted to drugs.. He was able to get off the drugs thank god. That's why he's so putting such emotion in the song and it gets thru and the solo does too and the guy Scotti Hill who did the solo also sings the harmonies. Just great stuff.. Supposedly he took a month to get the right feel with his voice for this song! So said he in an interview. Great stuff.. This is one of the best albums of all time!

Late 80's he was one of the best vocalists on the rock scene. Just powerful and gritty.
Was wondering when you'd get to reviewing this song, Seb Bach had a bulletproof voice back in the day and this song showcased all his range. According to his book, he said something like he recorded these vocals and was pretty much exhausted vocally after, strained, and while James Hetfield of Metallica was watching in the studio, so wanted to prove to him and give it his all for the track. And I very much doubt protools was used to clean it up, unlike a lot of todays 'singers'
He probably has the most confident and controlled vibrato I've heard. The guitar solo is extremely cantabile. The vocalist makes it sound easy.
Quicksand Jesus is another amazing song by them

You mentioned "yeah that's his studio voice"… he sounds like the albums live to this day.
This song was about addiction and his friend who was the drummer in Guns and Roses and was fired for being addicted to drugs.. He was able to get off the drugs thank god. That's why he's so putting such emotion in the song and it gets thru and the solo does too and the guy Scotti Hill who did the solo also sings the harmonies. Just great stuff.. Supposedly he took a month to get the right feel with his voice for this song! So said he in an interview.

Was lucky enough to see this band back in the early 90s and was one of my favorite bands (and still is). 18 and Life, this song, In a Darkened Room, etc. are all so powerful. One the greatest voices of all time!
