Typical of dime. I was always arguing that metalica were the best band ever. And then someone made me listen to pantera. I instantly felt ashamed of arguing Metallica had the greatest songs ever.
I’ve been a Pantera fan for over 20 years and seeing someone honestly and innocently react to them like this which such excitement genuinely warms my heart!
and the fact that Phil isn't one of the dead ones is mind blowing. The dude addicted to heroin and painkillers survived while Dime got murdered and Vin died from coronary artery disease...
Haha for real I was like well I gotta see what she thinks of the high notes at the end 🤣 And btw dimebag may not have been the best guitarist ever but he made you feel things only a few guitarists can make you feel and for that he is always one of the best
Phil is one of the most versatile, prolific, and talented metal vocalist of our times! 🙌🖤🔥🤘🔥 Pantera is one of the few bands that can evoke a range of emotions that no other band can...from raw powerful energy, to anger, and to absolute melancholy. The guitar solo in this is one of the greatest of all times! There’s no band like them, and never will be! 🙌🖤🔥🤘🔥🙏✨
I was kind of surprised whenever she said that. Especislly considering the fact that classical and operatic music also use vastly varied time signatures and keys. That they rapidly transition to and from..one of the many similarities of metal and classical music.
Lol yeah... it's the same tempo Vinny just went from snare back beats on 3 to back beats on 2 & 4.. Simple change but it does change the whole feel of the song
I was thinking the same thing, she's gonna find out the story if she hasn't already, and listen to this song again, and she's gonna cry. Just as we all did, weather we were fans before, during, or after their presence on this planet.
Wish I could've seen them live, unfortunately dime was taken from us a couple years after I was born so I didn't even chance. I was so crushed when I learned that he had passed.
@@october1634 God damn you just made me feel old. I was a Senior in high school and myself and the rest of my metalhead friends spent the day in school just in a daze like we were in zombie mode. Honestly it me harder than 9/11 (which happened in my Freshman year).

Your genuine heart and soul reaction to this helps remind me of the possibility of beauty right around the corner. I've watched this 9 times this year alone. Love you and your channel. Continue to be a beautiful person. ❤️
Absolutely adore this. The sheer appreciation for the craftsmanship is great. Are you a pantera fan? No. But, you understand what level they were on. If only there were more in this world like you. Great stuff
One of the things I like of you is you respect everyone and bring any kind of music; viewing and listening with a open mind an heart. It's really nice. Very good review on the song by the way. Thanks. Keep it up
"even if it isn't your type of music!" I seriously loved hearing that. Dimebag would have loved to see someone so emotional over his music. #RIP Daryl ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏
Your reactions here are so genuine and endearing. Seeing someone experience the brilliance of Pantera for the first time reminds me of what it felt like discovering them as a child. Loved this vid! 🤘❤️
"Are they still going?" No. Unfortunately, the guitarist, Dimebag Darrell, was murdered while on stage. His brother, Vinnie Paul, their drummer, also recently passed away. "Are they still reigning?" Yes.
I used to live in Arlington, TX. Partied a few times with them and honestly they were just down to earth. I wasn't a huge fan like all my friends, but they were equally as nice to me. We bowled together a couple of times and I'd always run into them at the grocery store. When Dimebag passed it seemed like all of Arlington mourned for days.
Dime had such a unique sound to his guitar. Phil's vocals are amazing, especially on this song. I'm glad you got to react one of the best metal bands ever. RIP Vinnie and Dime. 🤘🤘

This is the most positive, non-asshole comment section I’ve ever seen on a TH-cam video. I’m blown away. I’m floored that she doesn’t know who Pantera is but also, I’m old. Love the respect. Dime and Vinny forever ❤️
I love how you just see all music, no matter the genre, as art :D as a metal head who has been told for years my taste in music is "just a load of screaming", i thank you :)
Obviously this song gave her goosebumps. As it did when myself and probably most of us first heard this song. I remember thinking “I didnt know music could be this good” And I say when I first heard this song because I had no idea who Pantera was at the time. Man did it open up my world.
“I feel like he’s holding back...” as soon as she mentions this in the beginning, I pushed away my work keyboard, pulled up my coffee, and kicked back to watch someone get the utter pleasure of this song for the first time :)
I love watching these music coaches react to Pantera. I feel like any music lover who hasn't really listened to Pantera have been deprived of a privilege of listening to modern day classical masters.
Guitarist, vocalist, drummer and producer over here teared up over all of this. Look at her loving Pantera. God rest my idol's souls, and thank you for hearing right, dear...
Dude holy shit i feel you. Same situation here. I was choking up on my dinner tearing up. To observe another musician from a completely different area of music appreciate this song and be captivated. One of the most emotionally moving songs ever
I love these reaction videos. Especially when you have, for many years known and loved the track they are hearing for the first time. Pantera are one of those bands that were absolutely and undoubtedly the best at what they did, whether it was the musicianship, the ability to craft a song or just plain old heavy metal fun. It hits you right in the feels, seeing someone recognise and respect the ability of the artists that are so often dismissed as morons for being a heavy metal band.
It’s truly awesome to see someone that isn’t obviously a metal fan truly appreciate this properly and have an open mind towards something some people from a similar world would condemn without even a glance because it’s metal because it’s Pantera! F**^king rock on Girl 🤘🏻
I've watched a few of these, "vocal coach responds to" videos where they do Cemetery Gates and goddamn... the last bit of the song where phil screams gates... the reaction to that is never boring... Love it.
My dad had the cops called on him one time, for playing Pantera too loud. Cop: I'm going to have to ask you to turn down the music. Dad: but it's Pantera. Cop: ok. One song, then turn the volume down. My dad chose this song lol. Next time he played his music loud, he invited all the neighbors over for alcohol and a bonfire.

I think that my favorite thing about watching channels like this and Lost In Vegas is watching people hear these songs, songs that I've listened to hundreds of times, for the first time. It takes me.back to the first time that I heard them, and it gives me a renewed appreciation for them. What I wouldn't give to hear this song and have no idea what was coming next.
Also the way that you actually LISTEN to the song again not just skim it or have it on in the background when you're doing something else, but pay attention to it
Yes, but this is one of those rare songs where you can get a little more out of it every time you hear it. There is so much going on in Cemetery Gates coupled with so much virtuosity that is reveals something new every time if you really take it in. This time, I heard some drum fills that hadn't registered previously. It's the gift that keeps on giving, like all truly great music.
RIP Dime and Vinnie. I was pregnant when he was killed. My son was named in his memory. He is now a 15year old young lad who loves Pantera and Damage Plan. Love this song so much.

Pantera is one of the few bands that can evoke a range of emotions that no other band can...from raw powerful energy, to anger, and to absolute melancholy.
The guitar solo in this is one of the greatest of all times!
There’s no band like them, and never will be! 🙌🖤🔥🤘🔥🙏✨
"What's going on with the tempos?"
You're listening to metal.
In metal, tempo is just a suggestion.
